Idk if it's because of the new firmware update, but there is no latency at all while watching youtube videos with the bose soundsport free. I'm using them with my galaxy s9+ by the way.
And yes you will drop the case. It is slippery and you need to press hard on the stupid button to open it. Sound quality is great. Very clear and good lows .

I actually had the Bose soundsport free and they are an awesome pair of ear buds, wish that they could get louder was my only problem. Took them back to try out the jaybird run, think I'm going back to the Bose.

    Good video
Doubt anyone will see this but I'm on my second pair (get extended warranty, I was able to trade them in with Bose for 40% off a new pair but it would be better if you didn't have to deal with the hassle) and they're really really good. They're big and bulky but no one really cares unless you're wearing them for fashion. The latency is only sometimes present but to get it to go away you just have to pause, wait half a second and then unpause. Also, no matter what I do, I can't get them to slip out of my ears and they're comfortable to the point where I would sometimes keep one in while I slept.
Also, a lot of the issues mentioned either have been updated over time (latency) or improve with use (button stiffness and eartips)
(by the way, I use them every day for music, which is why they wore out but the sound quality is second to none among truly wireless earbuds that i've tried)

Thank you for your review, you helped me make a decision. I love the convenience and functionality of the AirPods but my ears are such that they will not stay in my ears more than 5 minutes unless I use silicone tips. It is a hassle to constantly put the tips on and off so I have been looking for an alternative.
I love the sound and fit of the Bose but am not pleased with the lack of functionality as opposed to the AirPods. With AirPods each earbud is fully functional on its own, phone calls, music, gestures, charging. With Bose the right earbud does all the work and the left is a tag-along and does not work without the right earbud. In fact If I cup my hand over the right earbud, the left will disconnect. If the right earbud is charging, the left one is useless except to keep your ear canal warm.
After a couple months of purchasing and returning earbuds, your review finally helped put it into perspective for me; a daily use vs a workout set of earbuds. I’ve been looking for the perfect pair do both, now I see that I’ll just have to deal with using the silicone tips on the AirPods and will be using AirPods for casual use and the Bose for working out.
    Thank you

You have to press both sides of the button to open case.

Good video but it seems like you had a bit of latency problem somewhere in the middle. Funny when you dropped the case (I had the same problem) I totally agree Bose needs to work on those buttons.

LOL I added that latency on purpose to try to show what it looks like when watching videos with the Bose. But I'm glad you liked the video

Are the volume buttons made of soft rubber? I would hate them to morph and wear out after a year of use.

I like how when he talks about latency on the buds he actually makes the video audio delayed during that part
Or is that just my headphones

Great review. But you keep saying the word "buttons" as "buUUns". Start pronouncing the T.

R34 your whole like you talked and got sound out of one side. Maybe your expectations are trash. You can’t even afford them anyway.
