Having this exact issue with Gen5 G17 MOS and Holosun 507c. This is literally the only video I could find that would confirm it need surgery. So thanks. 👍🏻
@@usmcshepherdE9 it was the hood of the optic which was a bit to big for the holster. A bit of Dremel work and it was/is good to go. And they fit Gen5 glocks no problem. Fun fact…it will also work very well with a TLR-7 light instead of the X300. A bit of wobble but you can tighten holster and it mostly (97%) negates it or you can get some of that holster foam and get rid of it completely
I sent a video to safari showing that my firearm is very difficult to holster as there are a few contact points. It's also scuffing my slide. I have several other safaris and they are great. But they seem to not believe there is an issue. I have showed the contact points and video of how difficult it is to holster. They couldn't care less. Awesome company, but the customer service leaves a lot to be desired.
To each their own, and you may be doing it for a reason, but you have the belt threaded through the UBL wrong. By going in and out from the front you pin the ears back to the belt. Makes it a little more sleek. But this video is exactly the info I was looking for. Thank you.
I have this exact holster for the x300 on a glock 45 currently without the optic yet but even without the optic it fits perfectly fine. The holster I went with was for the glock 19. I would imagine with an RMR it would also be fine since I think at the time when this holster was first released they had the RMR in mind.

There are new government models currently that are not yet available to the general public and from what I can tell the mounting plate seems superior to the current MOS system. Sootch has it up on his channel if you’re interested. Currently I’m just waiting to save up some money and send in my current Glock 45 to agency arms for the slide mill and optic cut . Love the holster though
The 19 does NOT fit with any forward mounted RDS, this is directly from Safariland. This holster specifically is built for a specific RDS that no one makes any longer and you will need to modify for any forward from sight mounted dots.
Do you think it's possible to adapt this holster (or other) to fit a Glock 43x MOS (with Holosun 407k and streamlight tlr-7 sub)? That's my service weapon (narco agent at Brazil state police) and I can't find a service OWB Holste! Tks for your help!
For some reason my 17 wouldn’t fit with a rmr. Had to do the same thing to get it to fit. Just a dremel and was able to do some pretty precise trimming to make it fit.

I'd recommend just getting the 6360RDS (designed for larger RDS's) if you have an SRO and have our friends at @spectermods wrap it for you. The lights that are compatible are Streamlight M3, TLR1, TLR1-HL, Surefire X200, X300, X300U, or the Insight XTI Procyon.” This is what I got as a response from safari land
I was worried my 19x wouldn’t die because it’s basically a Gen 5 (the ambi slide releases). Do the ambi slide releases catch or do they go in smooth? I couldn’t find a clear answer.
Is there any mod you can do to the holster to make the gun sit slightly higher the way a 17 would? So that you can get a proper grip on the gun, I've noticed a 17 sits higher then my 19 in the holster, and I can struggle to grip the gun while wearing gloves.
Just bought one of these holsters for my G19 Gen 5 with Holosun 507 and light. But I have a Holosun SCS coming in the mail (super low profile) so I'm curious if that will change things.
@@0150r I had the same issue which is strange because the holster is specifically for the g/19 with an rmr. I’m just going to dremel some material down to clear the rmr.
@@thepoorsareintoguns I tried both. After surgery you basically have to adjust the retention. I might get a 2nd holster so I don't have to worry about it.

I have the 6354D0 and I use a holosun 509ACSS red dot optic no problem, however I should mention my rear iron sight is in front of the optic.

Yeah this holster was designed for an RMR. But I think even an RMR on an MOS mounting it might sit too high and require surgery

I'm pretty sure you're gonna have to mod it the same way because the slide is the same length
Did you have to shave the holster and the top of the als?
Yeah I had to do both. The holster needed to be shaved a little bit but the main part that got shaved was the ALS

My 19 with RMR wouldn't fit. Fit perfectly without the RMR.
So it fit with the 17 with an RMR?

Yeah so I think you don't have to do surgery if you use a trijicon. I think the holosun sits a little different. I might be wrong though

Approximately how far did you have to shave it?
Mmm the top hood about a quarter of an inch I would guess maybe a little less and the ALS part about 3/8 of an inch

Yeah you'll probably have to mod it. I'm guessing less because the 508 doesn't come up as high

@@loganophalus No there's a black screw near the bottom of the holster that lets you adjust it out or in depending on the size of your light.

Yeah you can do a glock 19 without light or dot but it holds better with a light. I would recommend a regular non light compatible safariland holster
