I really can’t get enough of your videos man, I feel like I’m watching a Food Network show. Whether it’s food reviews or things to do in the city I love it. Keep it up
I LOVE Diso's. They have 2 food tricks when it was parked across from my former office on the 47th and 6th ave side I would get. I got multiple people hooked so so so good. Fun Fact: They were on a season of the great food truck race on The Food Network.
My absolute favorite memories of my last visit to NY was sitting outside some random building eating food truck cuisine on the edge like you are at 11:50 .
Everything at Tony's is good. The best chicken there is and even the rice is one of the best rices I've ever had. Konstantinos used to take the orders before and he's a super nice guy.
Tony Dragon’s wins for unique food choice. As someone who’s lived their entire adult life in the city, I appreciate these small operators that offer something new. Italian sandwich shop on wheels looks brilliant. I make my own Birria tacos from smoked beef, always looking for a new example. I worked on 6th Ave and 51st for 7 years. My coworkers and I were the first to discover Halal Guys when they were just a simple stand. Virtually no wait (taxi drivers) and a huge plate cost only $6.00 with a drink. I’ve had other Halal but judge it based on the OG from the “Guys”.
John, i'm from Poland, and i probably will never have the chance to visit the big apple, but your videos make me feel like i've been there many times. much much love man
Another great ep Jon, I think I could curate a trip to New York and have a two meal a day routine visiting all your food truck options. I’d start with breakfast and then a late lunch and eat all meals outside taking in the sights, sounds and smells…and walking a lot ❤❤❤
That greek steak bowl looked so fresh & tasty. The sandwiches on the 1st truck were huge & it had a fun vibe. Nicely done Jon, hope you didn't film that all in one day😃
For me personally, Halal chicken needs ZERO veggies in it EXCEPT onions. THAT'S IT! No peppers or carrots BS. Just great seasoned chicken with soft onions, a simple lettuce and tomato side salad, and flavorful aromatic YELLOW rice (with white and hot sauce).
Don't know if you have been there yet, but Leo's "Mamas" Latticini in Corona, Queens is amazing! 104th Street, great subs, and fantastic service. Been around 85 years
Diso's had me with the Mobster names of the sandwiches! True Classic. Boy how I miss 6th Ave. in midtown! Nothing like it where I live in rural central Georgia. As I have said Jon, I was born in Brooklyn in the early 60's. Lived there in several surrounding boroughs until 2001. Post Script: The Don Fanucci, Godfather Part II (Gastone Moschin)
My favorite Halal food truck was on 25th & 1st Ave, their tilapia on rice is delicious. It has this chunky tomato sauce. Absolutely worth the $10 in 2018, before my office moved. Misses it so much.
Mr. Barr...i believe that you started this TH-cam Culture of reviews regarding places..destinations and food venues. Look where it has blossomed too now with the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence and most of the wanna be robot sheep starting new TH-cam channels and following others who were the pioners. Wish you and your family many blessings for the rest of the summer and fall season bro. You already know.
We recently ordered a sausage pizza at "Ribalta" (Greenwich Village). Good flavor but surprised it was served with only a few crumbles of sausage and it was soggy in the middle. The bonus was the shrimp and beans appetizer and meatball appetizer -- delicious!
Just did the Big Pauly tonight ! I have been doing it for years me I but Burrata in it and sometime rapini and prosciutto. I'm from Little Italy in Montréal Québec.
Italian sandwiches are my most favorite kind of sandwiches in the world. I rarely say no to one, usually only because I'm full. Nothing compares to it at all for me.
What an interesting video thank you plan to rewatch lot of your work hurt in a rear end tractor trailer hit so that’s for the distraction ironic was on my way to NYC to visit
I'm a simple guy. I see new Jon, I click like. I see big Italian sandwich, I add to list of foods I wanna eat when I come back to NYC. The burger looked really good too.
As of now do you know if they still in same spots. I know trucks move around sometimes, but being back home NYC definitely want to hit up my cravings lol. Post appreciated bro 🙌🏾🤘🏼
Thank you for not going to Adels once again in this video and giving a smaller halal spot a chance. Adels has just become another tourist trap at this point
you want better than adel's? try the usa best halal truck that sets up on the SE corner of 9th ave and W 60th St. not the cart on the NW corner with the same name.
these types of places should really stop using plastic gloves. it is not more hygienic to use them because they touch everything with them including money which is super filthy then they make the food with the same gloves. its always more hygienic to use your hands as long as you wash them
It’s definitely a low moisture mozzarella, but I’m not mad at them. These sandwiches look super high quality for a food truck. If they’re reading the comments, using actual “fresh mozz” would be epic.
I was in NYC very recently; I was lucky this time at ADEL'S FAMOUS get only 45'/50' waiting in lines two friday ago; being a rainy day less people than usual a 7pm.....always a good experience!!! Next time I will be in NYC I think I'll try the places in this video....Greetings from MILANO Italy!!...

Come to the Bronx 😂

Amazing spot.
General Tso Chicken over rice is the bomb !!
I love your videos man. Keep the good vibe and the good content. Amazing work!
John I didn't realize you now have 1/2 Million Subscribers....Congrats! You will have a Million In no time!
thanks so much.
8 years and only 500k subs lmao, he slackin hard
@@knlei1 how many subs you got?
So much great food! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for your sharing of street food in New York❤❤
Jon I knew that I loved the New York food trucks for a reason ! I'm looking forward to trying one of these food trucks for my next visit !
My brother and I love watching your videos, great content barr.

Don Fanucci - Godfather!
12:53 As someone that lives close to the Jackson Heights Birria Landia, I'm so freakin' proud that they're the top of your list.
theyre not the same

all in 1 day haha.
Cost too much for a daily thing. The rent is still too high and I work with people who brown bag.
Oh baby! This all looks so good. Best food city on earth!!!!
Jon
Cool Video. Those Italian sandwiches look huge and delicious.
Chicken over rice with white sauce and red sauce the best food.
Chinese does a great chicken over rice!
The bread is the key, to any sandwich that you order. Btw, the mortadella is the "KING" of all deli-meats.

Hi Jon, you must try Mr. Khao Man Gai Food Truck on W 45th St between 5th & 6th Ave. Get Set#2 Grilled Chicken. Please do a review on it.
I've seen Diso's truck once in midtown, but never again..Sandwiches remind me of the Dennis from Parisi Bakery, good price and big hero sandwich! 😸

Killer list. Diso's and Tony Dragon's we on the agenda AT LEAST once a week when I lived in Manhattan.
Congrats on 500k subs. Do a Q&A or something special for 500k subs celebrations.
Adding this to the list
Every time I work at The pierre or Met club we go to tony’s, 🔥 the grilled glizzy is a nice snack!
You're killing me with the Diso's truck sandwiches.
Those are some of best looking sandwiches ever! If I got the Big Pauly wonder if they would do half of it toasted
My favorite Halal food truck was on 25th & 1st Ave, their tilapia on rice is delicious. It has this chunky tomato sauce. Absolutely worth the $10 in 2018, before my office moved. Misses it so much.

Great work Jon. That Italian sandwich looked like a dream
That's $28. Good if you are sharing.
Just did the Big Pauly tonight ! I have been doing it for years me I but Burrata in it and sometime rapini and prosciutto. I'm from Little Italy in Montréal Québec.
Grew up in NY, and have had at least 1000 Italian sandwiches, and very very few ever had chicken cutlets on it.
My mouth is watering too! Wow! That Big Pauly for $14.00 is a bargain. Good for two hungry people.
Always better when you honestly critique each place.
6:26 this dude wins for coolest name ever
That Italian American food truck looks great! Wish we had a bigger food cart/stall/truck scene in Toronto but maybe it's a pest issue
He gets it. He really gets it.
Team Adrienne. 🌊🌊🌊
Thanks for the tour...
Damn these are some delicious looking sandwiches. Unlike anything we can get in Germany sadly. I love nyc for those (and much more ofc)
I work at the building in your outro (1290 6th). Sorry I missed you filming.
I often wonder if they stack those sandwiches for the cameras! I can't wait to try though.
No this is how they do it!
Italian sandwiches are my most favorite kind of sandwiches in the world. I rarely say no to one, usually only because I'm full. Nothing compares to it at all for me.
The Diso’s Chicken Parm for $14 is a great deal! Subway charges almost that with hardly any meat!
such a good value tbh.
I appreciate that you pronounced gyro correctly.
your content is amazing! i really miss ben tho
Italian sandwich are the best out of any variations out there🔴⚪🟢❣
What an interesting video thank you plan to rewatch lot of your work hurt in a rear end tractor trailer hit so that’s for the distraction ironic was on my way to NYC to visit
You must try Mahmoud’s halal in Astoria on 34 Av and Steinway. I can never move out of NYC because of this truck!
I'm a simple guy. I see new Jon, I click like. I see big Italian sandwich, I add to list of foods I wanna eat when I come back to NYC. The burger looked really good too.
I want to leave new york....
Me too! Taking Mom to the city in november, she is the Queen of stingy , we will be eating in food trucks!
Would love to see vegetarian food truck recommendations ❤
Tony Dragon’s the best truck in NYC !!!!
i'm not going to fight this claim, it's got to be up there especially with how unique their offerings are.
i miss camera man Ben. Miss you man
You need to find island spice grill food truck. Lobster mac and cheese and ox tail. Sheeee is fire.
Jeez that Fanucci sandwich you can feed a whole family with. Ofcourse got the name of Godfather 2 which he gets assasinated in by Don Corleone.
I’m coming back to NYC 2025 (from the UK) and can’t wait to try some of these. Keep these videos coming John!
Is the 2nd guy from epic meal time?
Hi looking to come for first time with to yourer children, what dates do the christmas evnts/decorations usually start and end pls?
Damn, that sandwich is a monster
So was the price!
@@niceguyjeff very true!!!

You have to check Diso's website for the truck locations they rotate. The rest are stationary.
@@HereBeBarr much appreciated 🙏
Hi guys! These prices are with tax? Or without?
I’ll say that eating that don fanucci is not wetting your beak
@gandalug1 Nice memory and a quote Don Fanucci & Don Corleone(before he took care of Don Fanucci 😅😊)
Cool and u can show full for grand central tennis ny
$28. That says it all !
As a NYer, I think $28 is pricey for lunch, $14 is more like it.
@@sct4040 I avoid places without prices posted.
That could feed like 3 people though so 9 bucks a person not too bad
I remember when chicken or lamb over rice used to be 5 bucks a pop
Thank you for not going to Adels once again in this video and giving a smaller halal spot a chance. Adels has just become another tourist trap at this point
I needed this video when I visited NYC this past May.
Where is the first food truck located in Manhattan, As I Have A Friend Who Would Love To Drop Over There To Buy Sandwiches?
Check my link in the description they rotate based on days. They have 2 trucks too.
you want better than adel's? try the usa best halal truck that sets up on the SE corner of 9th ave and W 60th St. not the cart on the NW corner with the same name.
Don Fanucci, the Black Hand! The Godfather Part II.
I used to do delivery on 6 1/2 ave
Don Fanucci, The Black Hand. Godfather 2
I'm hungry now.

Yeah, better for the environment too.
Diso's is like comfort between two slices of bread! I bet it felt like a warm hug inside going down too 😆🤗😋
Imagine thinking that Halal Meat is any different than the meat you buy at the Supermarket 😆
Can we have a video on "Best rated/recommended souvenir shops in NYC for Christmas"?? 😅
Sally ballz? U r joking right.... 😂😂😂
Why not you visit Karachi for delicious street food brother?
good video
They gotta toast that sandwich my man that’s diabolical to eat cold mozzarella on a sandwich
the corn tortillas aren't crispy enough
Hi John 😀. Foods look good 👍. 🥬🥒🌶🥦🥖🫓🥩🍔🌮🌯🥗🧀
C'mon easy. The Godfather Part II
Super easy ;)
@@HereBeBarr Been re-watching ALL your vids bro as I am returning to NYC in March for 4days! 1st time back since 2019
Am not convinced by the mozzarella of the 1st food truck.
Looks like low moisture mozzarella
Yes !
It’s definitely a low moisture mozzarella, but I’m not mad at them. These sandwiches look super high quality for a food truck. If they’re reading the comments, using actual “fresh mozz” would be epic.
I definitely agree in saying that the mozzarella can be better quality, but the sandwiches still look pretty great for their portions and price
@@michaelfouladi4961 absolutely! Nothing wrong with low moisture mozz at all
It might not be the best objectively but nothing will persuade me that The Halal Guys isn''t the pinnacle of late night street food in NYC.
The black hand.
Don Fanucci was the Black Hand gangster who forced Vito Corleone into being a gangster in _The Godfather, Part II_ .
You didn’t go to Adels across from radio city? Are you even from nyc? Lol
They've gotten enough publicity, i love them. Wanted to give other spots a chance.
I hate that Street Bites NYC doesn't list their prices. They can charge what ever they want.
I'm not a fan of that practice myself on any food truck. Always check before you order.
Recently. I splurged on a sandwich, only the price rose to $20 ate and became sad and my stomach ached for three days, the poison was expensive
