Hi, not sure if you are still in this space but if so, running a bead of silicone caulking along the edges where the counter meets the backsplash can help give a more finished look where that grout crumbled and will help defend against moisture. Kitchen looks great!

Is the foil counter top prone to peeling? Are you concerned about particles getting in your food? How durable is it?
i havent experienced any peeling/particles from the surface and wouldnt expect any because i only prepare food on a cutting board and product placement doesnt appear to disturb the material apart from some indentation if the weight is significant. moisture though will of course cause lifting, so washing dishes and splatter requires readjustment once dry

The best option is the one that’s in your budget. quality wise though, you want multiple strains. Similar to your diet, diversity is key.
