    Hi Sebastian. Nice videos you make. Santorini the more affordable way.
    A question. Could you also pay attention to the journey, from Italy to the island of Santorini? Preferably by boat from Italy and the train from Patras. Or when it's all done. I'll see when it comes. Greetings from the Netherlands. Marco

    • @GreeceExplained
      @GreeceExplained  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Marco !
      The easiest way to reach Santorini from Italy is by plane. There are direct flights from Naples, Bologna, Milano, and maybe even other airports.
      Otherwise, yes its the boat to Patras, then train / bus to Athens, then ferry to Santorini.
      Hope this helps !

    I will travelling in March 2024 ( 18th to 24th ) .. will it be worth?? The shops and all would be open or not

    • @GreeceExplained
      @GreeceExplained  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Fira and Oia will be relatively open. The rest of the island pretty dead, especially the coastal towns (Perissa, Kamari ...) But all in all, a great time to go in my opinion. Much quieter and cheaper.

      May is the "transition month", the first half of it is still reasonably quiet but then from May 15th, every day gets more crowded. So I'd pick early May if I were you !

    Hows is it going in October ? Can we swim?

    • @GreeceExplained
      @GreeceExplained  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes you can swim, but October can have some rainy / cold days, so if swimming is important to you, try to come in September instead.

    Hi, is it a bad idea to visit Santorini in December?

    • @GreeceExplained
      @GreeceExplained  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Everything will closed. So if you only care about visiting the villages and you're okay with doing no tours and no shopping, then yes December is fine.

      @@GreeceExplained ok thanks? No tours means? Is there any other attraction than visiting villages and shopping? Not interested in swimming. And what about ferry service in December? Is it convenient to travel. Between turkey and Greece? Thanks
