I related to your reflections, worries, and ponderings, SO MUCH, especially when you said that you chased freedom. SAME. I've always been a person that lived below my means, fear risks - like staying at a job for financial security but hating it. i'm beginning to feel like maybe I should live abit more. It's hard to live a life that's worth enjoying when you are constantly worried about costs enough to curb life experiences that could change the way you experience your life.
I know there are many things to worry about, but I still believe I need to try most of the things I want to be or do while I can! I hope you find inspiration and happiness in many things around you and I know you do! thanks for your lovely comments 💚
I literally just finished looking at old photos from my twenties that I haven't seen in years, and then I watched your video; I think it is funny how the universe works like that. When I was reviewing the photos, I had feelings of "Wow, that looks like such a great time", "it would be fun to experience that again", etc. But then I reflected on how I felt at the time, and I know I wasn't enjoying it, rather I was suffering. I have suffered from severe social anxiety disorder throughout my life, and I was only formally diagnosed and started treatment within the last two years. I am 36 now and while I can't get my twenties back, I can remind myself to try and enjoy the times that don't feel enjoyable because in fact they just might be. The time we are given is precious. This might be cliche, but life really is about the journey and not the destination.
I love that. I may need more time to embrace it. Nothing's new, nothing's old-every moment at any stage should be precious to us. Thank you so much for sharing your story. I hope you enjoy your journey.
First of all, I think it's incredibly wise that you're able to step back from your life and tell yourself that future you will applaud you for heading into uncertainty so actively (your future you will DEFINITELY celebrate you!). Even if it's a detour, you're gonna find a way forward and that's far better than not doing anything. One detour forward towards the goal tape is better than not moving. Second, I also had a period where I was unemployed and spent a lot of time with my mom. To us, we're worried, but sometimes life is more important, and our moms are at the stage where they would be ecstatic if we prioritized them. You reminded me to spend more time with my mom, thank you
