I think a lot of people missed the fact that the line about the past “dark Kahns” implies that the Kahn system still existed for a time in Outworld in the New Era, and that it seems to have been a dark age for the entire realm. It’s possible Shao’s family lineage even served them if they all live as long as he does, since we know the different Shao have served as both General and Kahn for millennia.
I can’t help but wonder if Onaga’s apparent sudden appearance and infamous defeat had something to do with the change. Edenians seem to simply be a race among Outworld now, so it could mean that the Kahn era was still ruled by dragonoids like Shao in the past until Onaga was confronted and defeated by an ancestor of General Shao.
No, it's just an easter egg to MK vs DC. It's not the first time they've made a reference to that game.

that is a very intriguing theory. While I do think that “dark Kahn’s” thing was a play on words, it’s interesting to see
The Starfire nod is also a nod to Kari Walhgren, who voices Kitana and Mileena in MK1 and Starfire in Injustice 2. Same with the Wonder Woman shout out to Ashrah, Susan Eisenberg voices Ashrah in MK1 and voices Wonder Woman in the vast majority of DC media.

Uh, I think you mean Liu Kang's blue fire because I'm pretty sure his blue fire is supposed to be connected to the cosmos and DC's Starfire doesn't exist in the Mortal Kombat timeline. So it's Liu Kang's blue fire, not DC's Starfire.
My theory for Hanzo after these mentions, is that he will take the mantle of scorpion after Kuai Liang is killed by Bi-Han. Causing the cycle of revenge within scorpion to repeat.
Idk, Hanzo seems to have much more of a connection with Smoke than with Kuai Liang, Tomas is the one that discovered and recruited him, afterall.
If I had to guess, Bi Han will kill Tomas, which will be the trigger for vengeful Scorp, Hanzo will take up the Smoke title, and Tomas will be a version of Noob
I personally think it would be cool if Hanzo took the title of Takeda. As Takeda isn't just kenshi's son in the original timeline but also the name of the founder of the Shirai Ryu.
I've been thinking about this a little bit more, and Hanzo as Smoke makes a ton of sense because of how Smoke was portrayed in his first appearances, as a pallette swapped scorp complete with the spear. It'd be a call back to an old MK, and a way to give Hanzo his spear all in one

I hope Kai is one of the DLC characters in the next Kombat Pack. Doesn’t matter to me if it’s a Character or a Kameo, A lot of C-List characters are getting a lot of recognition thanks to MK1.
He should have been the main character training under Liu Kang
He’s one of the few that are in desperate need of a modern upgrade. Him being a master means he’s got a lot more purpose than just some random monk, and if he’s in the Wu Shi then he’s probably still a protege for Liu Kang in some way. And maybe he can use a staff if raiden isn’t using it.

Ashrah also mentions the Enenra to Smoke. I hope they keep him human in this timeline. He doesn't deserve to become that again.

They mention Kai in a lot of dialogues that I wonder if they’d do something with him. He has a fancy new title like Jade and a lot of influence on the characters if he trained them.
Not mentioned here but Sub Zero’s father gets a lot of mentions when he never gotten any mentions in any other games. I wonder if he’ll be in too, perhaps as Noob Saibot. That could give us a Noob without killing the classic Sub-Zero, and it could parallel Bi Han having an undead victim seeking revenge
Initially I thought their father could be Hanzo, due to how frequently they mentioned him. But obviously that wasn't the case

One dialogue between two Kenshi mentions Kano being Keeper of Time and its a direct reference to Kano from Mortal Kombat Legends: Snow Blind where he becomes Keeper of Time and frankly, it'd be an interesting addition as a fighter to the game even if it is non-canon. Not to mention, all the Armageddon Fighters (Quan Li, Stung Lao, Klockodile) are fusions of two fighters so Kano + Kronika could exist possibly.
Didn't Kano in that timeline destroy the hourglass? How did they escape that apocalypse?

probably no reason why they wouldnt plus since the realms are at peace delia wont have to create blaze to stop all the fighters and argus wont have to put taven and daegon to sleep for the trial so daegon wont be mad and kill them so they all live happy in this new era.

It sounds like Mavodo is part of the Black Dragon in this timeline, so the Red Dragon might not exist then. Therefore, Daegon and by extension Taven could possibly not exist.
@@_insomniac_423the problem with that is daegon created the red dragon because he wanted power at the time plus he inslaved his dragon in this new timeline he wouldnt go crazy over the quest so he wouldnt need to create the red dragon but at the end of the day neatherrealm doesnt seem to care about taven or daegon or blaze so i guess it doesnt really matter like 17 years since their game and they were only in two endings in mkx plus a few intros in mk11 and mk1 its really sad

@@caustin850I thought Hotaru was a good guy it’s Hotaru that tried to keep order in the orderrealm. Shujinko got tricked by Onaga because Shujinko was chosen to bring the Kamidogu to the Nexus. Which was really a scheme for Onaga to gain power.

I like the dialogues in general but in this game there are many more... "soft dialogues", which takes away the feeling of wanting to fight that it will transmit to my character.
“Keep Jade close Kitana, she’s critical for your future” *3 minutes later opens a black hole to suck her organs into*

In Reiko’s ending, Onaga is revealed to be extremely huge. It’s gonna be something similar to the “Ridley is too big for Smash” thing again. Maybe they’ll size him down for a possible KP2/Aftermath DLC, or even a sequel.

That's likely due to the fact that the red dragons don't exist. The black dragons were created from the red dragons. So kano might come back in a different organization like jax or they come up with an excuse for the black dragons creation in the new timeline.
Funny thing is that I think Ed boon mentioned he hates taven and daegon , so I doubt both of them will return so the red dragons will likely not return as well.
