Also the fact that Tanya was willing to teach Syzoth on how to properly kombat Kytinn tells me that Kytinn are more than just a nuisance in this new timeline.

Well, for all his quirks, Bo' Rai Cho is the most skilled martial artist in Outworld. Even if not at his prime, clearly he is the greatest teacher in the realms. I thought he would be an Earthrealmer related to Madam Bo in this timeline. He might still be, considering Madam Bo is obviously cunning, resilient and can judge subtle nuances in the kombatants' styles.
Since Havik had returned, I think Hotaru might get a chance cuz these two are basically rivals , I would love to see how they turn this character around.

This Shao is a general who genuinely believes himself to be a freedom fighter and not a tyrant. From his perspective Sindel and now Meleena’s rule works against the people of Outworld. This is because he sees Outworld as a whole to be restricted by Liu Kang’s influence. Who is undermining they’re realms power to favor Earthrealm
Shao believes that the Royal House is willfully complicit in this because of Liu Kang’s friendship with King Jarred. And so he believes he must usurp the Empire and take control. In this position of power he would then cut ties with Earthrealm. Removing Liu Kang’s influence

Shao whilst egotistical and nationalistic genuinely believes he's helping Outworld. He was a loyal General to Sindel up until Quan Chi sewed doubts in his mind.
He's much less tyranical and bloodthirsty than his older self and simply wants to Make Outworld Great Again.
I just don't understand why the do some characters well but fuck up others so horribly. Looking at you Sub Zero
Kai as a Shaolin master is a cool new direction for his character, I like the idea that Liu Kang decided to let his pupil achieve an even higher rank and amount of skill in his New Era. REALLY hoping he becomes playable as DLC.

I know a lot of people aren't happy with them continuing the multiverse plot element for the new Mortal Kombat, but honestly, it's all worth it to me for things like "Emperor Bo' Rai Cho", "Master Kai", and all the little instances of "here's how my timeline is different" dialogue, *especially* for mirror matches, which now finally have a logical explanation for existing.
Technically Khameleon is in the game but she's a Kameo fighter and exclusive to story mode which is a shame; I would have loved to hear dialogue between her and Reptile/Syzoth

I LOVE the subtle hint of Frost. She was done an extreme disservice in MK11. Where even tho she had enhancements from Kronika she never landed a single win. Even in the comics she gets folded, I think even 1 shot by Cassie. Hopefully here, Frost gets a proper showing.

Kotal and Sheeva were also mentioned by Sindel in the campaign
Jax and Frost doesn't count, they appeared as Kameos in MK1
They also mention the Kytinn in Shang Tsung's lab.

If you play a Tower as Kenshi, during his ending where they’re at the OIA you’ll see at the top left of the screen in the background is Kollector.
I love the fact that this entry is giving recognition to many of the old characters instead of adding brand new ones. I'm all for new characters, but I think there's more than enough already.

Another reason why I haven't bought this game yet, he was my new favorite character in X and while I hated how 11 butchered his playstyle, at least he was in the game. I don't know what the Fuk is happening with MK1, not a single gun character???

Anyway, they need a new backstory on how Erron could be alive despite being 150+ years old. Unless they make him DLC like Takeda.

Reptile's tower ending show that shape-shifting is a lot more common in zaterrans than he was led to believe. It's not a stretch.
She may not have shape shifting abilties but it's probably compensated with her ability to copy female fighters

There are also conversations that mention Raiden's sister training at the academy. We don't know who she is, but I imagine she'll play a part later on.

In this timeline, they didn't grow up together, yet somehow they are important components to each other's fate. Also, it's worth noting that MK 10 and 11 cemented Kotal as one of the most hated characters in the franchise. Be a miracle if they could redeem that dumpster fire.
I think Mahazzim is supposed to explain the Li Mei in Netherrealm that was whooping up on Shinnok in armageddons konquest mode. Especially since its brought up in a Li Mei mirror match.

I’m actually glad they’re taking Rain away from that direction of wanting to rule. I feel like his willingness to betray everybody is the reason why nobody will work with him and why it makes it so hard to fit him into the story of the game. I also feel like if he’s in the next game he’ll be a good guy

@@spidergoblin.I think they already are.... the Shang Tsung ending from Aftermath is a major factor in the story, every ending to 11 is confirmed to exist as alternate realities (with Titan Kung Lao explicitly referencing his in the story), a Kenshi mirror match mentions the animated film Snow Blind, Armageddon endings are shown in some pre match dialogue, and Kronika specifically states in the storyline that she's reset the timeline countless times whenever the balance between good and evil was broken. In 11's story, when Raiden saw visions of him battling Liu Kang across timelines, one of them was taken from Vs DC.
Netherrealm Studios already confirmed that, MK VS DC is Canon.
Basically every form a MK media is canon thanks to the multiverse. If you want, even Pantherk can be cannon 😂

Shao khan have been reduced from smart and cunning but also fillled with strenght to just a dumb brute. Shang tsung it's simply evil. Especially in MK 1. "I heard you have a timeline....so im going to destroy it". At least taven's story could be the combination of a chosen one, brother vs brother, the forgoten brother(rain) and the fish out of water story forumlas.
Not sure I like them implying that Frost is still going to be evil in this timeline. I feel like if Sub-Zero's going to be evil, then Frost should be good because having two evil cryomancers feels a bit redundant. Maybe Bi-han makes a deal with Quan Chi and starts enlisting demons from the Nether Realm in exchange for the souls of members of the Lin Kuei, resulting in Frost fleeing the Lin Kuei like how Kuai Liang fled from the Lin Kuei during the Cyber Initiative during MK3.
Seeing Cyrax as bad guy and not friend of Kaui Liang and Smoke it's weird. In both original and previous timeline, Cyrax, Kuai Liang and Smoke were friends. I wonder if he will rebel against Bi-Han and Sektor once Bi-Han accept Cyber Initiative.
