As someone who lives very far north in Wisconsin (almost to Canada, Zone 4b), I appreciate that you are including plants that can grow in colder zones. Also, thank you for taking us along with you on your tour of the nursery. I enjoy seeing the sizes of mature plants. Its truly inspiring to know that my garden could get there some day, too.
I don’t know if there’s enough words in the dictionary to explain the beauty in this garden. I’m just blown away. The kaleidoscope of colors is just stunning! Can you visit this garden?
Would love it if they had a nursery locator on their site to see what local nurseries carry their products. Really stunning. Makes me want to replace some of my perennials and shrubs with dwarf conifers for sure.
I am also curious if Iseli allows visitors to the garden area. It’s so beautiful! It’s been so great seeing you here in Western Oregon, Jim. I’ve always thought it would be fun to have you explore our zone 8 and the very different growing conditions to your 7b in Raleigh.
I am so glad you came to Oregon Jim ! Oregon casts a magical spell on gardeners for sure. When I first visited portland I said oh my goodness...I could live here for sure. And I have been here gardening since 1995. I hope you visit more oregon gardens here. Enjoy!
What a great video! This is almost quite literally in my backyard (7 miles away) and I NEVER KNEW IT! So fun to see all your recent videos about Iseli! (Also, welcome to the neighborhood, Jim!)
Where have you been if you didn't know about Iseli...??? world famous nursery for sure but you can't just show up to the garden,,,you need to get permission...it is great so I'd try...
@@MDA-rs4uf I definitely knew about Iseli since I’ve purchased so many of their items but since they do not sell at their location, I have never visited their site so I didn’t know it was 7 miles from me. 😊
@@kadydidsgarden the gardens at Iseli are like walking into another world .... of course they have a constant gardener who has been there for years.... you must go and visit..... i emailed the sale rep for the southeast which is where i live and he gave me the instructions as to how to visit..... i've been about 4 or 5 times and it is one of the best conifer gardens i've ever seen...... another garden you must see is in salem OR.... it is called Seabright gardens and it is wonderful as well. much more varied than Iseli........
Great tour and what a nice surprise seeing you in my area. We are friends with the Boring family. Their ancestors moved here in 1874 and donated land for the first schoolhouse.
Impressive specimens. Looking forward for more of this. This trees are not something that you see in the south of florida. Love the variation of colors.
Jim, Boring, Oregon is in USDA zone 8b just like where you live in NC! These zones are quite tricky. For instance, north eastern shoulder of Oklahoma is in zone 6b and often much colder than most residential areas in Oregon.
Several of my local garden centers recently got their big spring orders in from Iseli. Every single plant comes in looking absolutely perfect and swoon-worthy. They really have an impressive operation going there. I live just north of Portland in Washington and didn’t realize they had that incredible garden at the nursery. Is it open to the public? Sorry if you mentioned that, I missed it. I’d love to visit and see it in person
Absolutely gorgeous! My biggest regret is not adding evergreens into my garden. I have yews and some kind of pine trees that came with the house but they are not attractive, I leave the pines for privacy and the yews for something green in dead of winter. And of course wild life loves them both too.
I love this VDO!!!!! I really love the conifers! Will you have a VDO to show individual plant ex. yellow conifer, dwarf conifer, conifer that change color in winter? I’m super interested to see these type of VDO! Thank you very much!
Simply gorgeous. But I would really like to know what the plant he's is standing in front of while talking about the Pacific rim maple. The beautiful blue sprawling on the ground. Thank you
Truly inspiring. I am really hoping to see more of these plants in my local nursery -- I am going to see whether they could include some of these for me in their orders for the coming year. If they know there is a demand, they are more likely to stock interesting plants.
Welcome to Western Oregon! Check out Portland Nursery and Garland Nursery (in Corvallis), and maybe the ag and forestry departments at Oregon State University if you are still in the area. Can the public visit the garden at Iseli?
Buen video amigo,le mandé una solicitud en un vídeo de hace tres años, aunque la ayuda la necesito en este momento, saludos, estoy suscrito en su canal..
Wishful thinking for mugo in GA...isn't really happy here. Picea pungens is also not great for the SE ...and really forget Twinkle Toes cause it really won't work here....way to tightly compact which can't breath in our heat & humidity....

they do.
What a fabulous nursery! Anything but the town's namesake!
I was thinking there’s nothing boring about this place lol!!!
There are quite a few growers in “Boring” OR.
wow! What a magical garden! I wouldn’t call those trees, I would call them magical creatures! Out of this world! 😍😍😍
Love Iseli's conifers--have several of their dwarf chamaecyparis varieties. What a garden paradise!!

Nice seeing smaller conifers featured, beautiful collection.
Holy smokes Jim visited my state! Lol hope you enjoyed your time here. LOVE this nursery!
Love their plants! Always healthy and a large variety.

I'm in the Willamette Valley and completely concur. I think we can proudly proclaim ourselves as being in the gardening capitol of the country.

Great tour and what a nice surprise seeing you in my area. We are friends with the Boring family. Their ancestors moved here in 1874 and donated land for the first schoolhouse.
Thank you for this tour! I absolutely love every single specimen shown! Love the color palette. WOW love the propeller specimen!!
The trees and plants around you look very beautiful. It is a colorful plant and your nursery is very beautiful. Your thoughts are very good😊
WOW, what a beautiful beautiful garden.
I have conifers that are absolutely stunning. Everything in my garden comes in second to conifers and Japanese maples.
Top of my plant wish list - “Propeller”! I’ve seen these at my local nursery, and now I think I need to go back and get one 💚
Beautiful I love conifers and maples. Fantastic video.
Hi Jim . This garden looks so pretty and it is amazing with the different colors in it . I lovet . Have anice day .
More Iseli tours please! Thanks Jim!
Love this video.
Putnam. You tour the greatest gardens. Talk to a camera with no clock in time. Get free plants. And garden at home…. For a living. You won

Beautiful!! Great video! Love this nursery
Thank you Jim and Stephanie. 🦃🍁🍂💚🙃

The color… Wow 🤩
That is the most beautiful garden.

Awesome tour of this collection
What is that extremely blue shrub around time stamp 9:44? Thanks!
Simply gorgeous. But I would really like to know what the plant he's is standing in front of while talking about the Pacific rim maple. The beautiful blue sprawling on the ground. Thank you
Great video! I never knew conifers could be so colorful ! I need some in my SE Virginia landscape!

Gorgeous!
I live in a warm climate, zone 9b. It would be nice to know the high range, too.
Dude love the description garden where they talk about the individual plants.
Gorgeous nursery! It's on my list of places to visit... If I ever get into the nursery business.
Wow!!
Very interesting selections!
Awesome nursery, love it! ….. wish they would ship to UK 😢🇬🇧🇬🇧 All the best!
I’ve actually seen Iseli plants in Sweden (maples in pots with the ’Jack Frost’ logo).
Welcome to Western Oregon! Check out Portland Nursery and Garland Nursery (in Corvallis), and maybe the ag and forestry departments at Oregon State University if you are still in the area.
Can the public visit the garden at Iseli?
Haha I thought you said “boring” Oregon…and thought wow that’s rude😂
Sorry it’s early Sunday am…time change😜
30590 SE Kelso Rd., Boring Oregon. It's right down the road from me. I just Googled it.
What is the white tree at 10:18
I live 20 minutes from Boring. I had no idea this nursery is close by! I wonder if they have local retail days?
It seems like quite a few retail locations nearby would order from them, since a lot of cost for nurseries is in shipping plants across the country.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Did you go see Laura and Aaron??
I must have a Moonstone.

If anyone is in the Atlanta area Pike Nursery carries quite a few our their cultivars.
