    I have learnt a lot from you, I had an adenium that I got 3 years ago, and it was sitting in the pot being neglected and just watered every now and then, after watching your videos I took out the Adenium from the pot, cleaned the roots and pruned the stems, and followed all the instructions from your videos, and today I checked my adenium, it has rooted now and new stems are showing up. Really thankful for everything you share with us. I live in Dubai and the weather difference is there, but your tips have helped me nonetheless. I wish I could share my adenium pics with you. Thanks.

      Omar Eazi Hi my friend very happy Plants thank you for repotted all I want to tell you this plants are very slow growing if you weather it’s higher than 70 degrees you need to water ones a week if doesn’t rain or when totally dry I think about the watering you’re doing a very good job otherwise be root rot but you need to lift it up every two year about 1 1/2 inch to two inch every time repotting you have a very amazing weekend Maria’s garden

      @@MariasgardenGarden Hey Maria, thanks alot for replying and explaining these details to me, I'll keep the watering thing in mind, the temperature here is 81F, but in peak summer august it reaches above 115F. I think I'll need to water them more often. Thanks again for everything really appreciate you putting time into this for us. enjoy your weekend!

    Hi Maria! How are you?
    Could you use a cookie sheet/tray under the desert roses you put cinnamon on? Then you could recycle the cinnamon that falls off the plants. Just trying to help you save money buying more cinnamon. I know use a lot of it.
    Enjoy your day!

    Okay Maria, I got the nerves to clean my plant!
    I purchased my plant 4 days ago and I know for sure I did everything wrong....
    I brought her home washed her and was not expecting the root to be what I saw 😂😂😂 (stupid me) I had already bought a pot not realizing how long the Caudex was (11in) under potted mark. Noticed plant had aphids sprayed the leaves with water and after potting it sprayed it with insecticidal soap 2x's two days apart since, I seen some more aphids come back. I did not fertilize it or cleaned the roots nor checked for soft roots. When I potted the plant I did not lift it either. Now, my plant leaves are turning yellow and falling off from my poor knowledge on the plant and the lack of proper care that I gave her when bringing her home. 😞😞😞
    After 4 days of watching your videos and letting the 2 days of rain pass I said "I'm going for it" its sunny out! I got some scissor, alcohol, cinnamon and dug it back up.
    I washed up the roots trimmed the Caudex added lots of cinnamon and put her in a big cardboard box (not closed) put it in my garage and added a few big silica gel packets next to the plant in the Hope's that it will absorb any moisture being that I live in orlando Fl (and we have plenty of moisture).
    Now I just pray that in the 8 days of healing she gets stronger so when I plant her I can add osmocot and cinnamon and rocks, plus add extra holes on the pot.
    Will a clay pot round 1ft wide 10in long work for a Caudex 11in long 6in wide was never cleaned nor lifted, work for the plant? or should I get a bigger pot? if so, how big? and will any rock I use work for draining or should it be a specific type?
    Thank you so much! Soon I will be taking a drive to get 2 more plants but this time from you. 😊😊😊
    keep you posted on my babys progress!

    Hi Maria. I am in Florida also. I have a desert rose that I think I over watered. Some of the branches were soggy, so I cut them off and the inside feels very wet. I don’t want it to die. What do I do? It’s in a pot, but maybe wrong kind of pot. I didn’t water all winter, and watered twice in last week and about three soggy/soft branches, but a couple just starting to sprout leaves.

    Hello Maria, I am repotting my desert rose for the first time. I live in Phoenix, AZ so very hot and dry climate. It’s spring right now. I washed the roots before watching your videos and realizing it should only be washed if there’s a rot problem. I added cinnamon as you suggested. Given I don’t have rot problem and weather here is extremely dry, should I still keep outside of pot drying for a few days? Or can I repot right away in this case?

    Maria. After letting the roots dry in the shade from a trim do I need to introduce them into the sun gradually?

    • @MariasgardenGarden
      @MariasgardenGarden  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Eric Pitts My friend Eric I’m assuming you plant has been repotted ok now what you need to do is place you desert roses under roof not direct sun not rain for about 6 to 7 weeks how to water by using the hose or a water can wet one inch of the soil in top only when dry about every four to five days after the six weeks process place out in morning sun if possible and water until the water comes out in the bottom of the pot when dry if you’re in raining season leave outdoors for rain doesn’t matter how much rain you have the plant need it thank you Maria’s garden

    • @MariasgardenGarden
      @MariasgardenGarden  ปีที่แล้ว

      yes after repotting the plants need 7 to 8 weeks of recovery under a tree or bushes after 3 weeks you can water the top of the soil about 2 inches every time it is dry , after the plant show signs of new grow you can place for 3 hours of sun morning or afternoon if you don’t expose the plant to to much direct sun the plant will do much better shine and bloom more thank you have a great day
