Same here) I played it at my friend's house, because I haven't had a PC or a console at that moment. Awesome video, as always, btw. Also, it would be very interesting to see a video about the current state of prosthetics industry in the world (bionic arms, legs, eyes, organs, skin e.t.c.), to know if we are close to become cyborgs yet) Cheers!
My first Game was Mario Bros on the NES. My friend got a Nintendo on his 11th Birthday and we were all amazed the game captivated us. We played level or life.
I've been around for quite awhile now, and I go back to the beginning of computer age. The first game that I played was everyone that is mentioned in your video. Pong, Astriod, Tank, tetris. Thanks for going down memory lane for us old video gamers.
Great to see your channel has grown so much, I am an initial follower and your content deserve this as a reward. Stay motivated and enlighten us always.
In the future, we'll have ACTUAL virtual reality; where we put on a helmet, and feel like we're ACTUALLY in the game, moving our arms and legs as if it were real life. Like nervegear. =D
Dude, perfect time to release this video. My school just started a subject called Game Theory. We had to make a timeline of consoles and this video helped a lot. Thanks dude
dave.. we used to have computer class in school and the teacher used to allow us some time for dave.. that was the most exciting time of my life as a kid
I think that the first video game I played was Need For Speed III: Hot Pursuit. This was back in 1998 on a Pentium II PC. We truly have come a long way :)
My very first computer game was a Paratrooper on DOS. It was actually interesting experience as I saw this game at 1992 and only in couple of months I saw such games as Gran Prix Circuit, Into the Eagle's Nest, F-15 Strike Eagle 2, and, finally, Wolfenstein 3D. It was gradual upgrade in visuals and gameplay from pretty simple to really complex and engaging.
The first video game I ever played was 'Space Wars' on a DEC PDP-8 computer at 3:00 a.m. in my girlfriend's physics lab at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Boston in 1969. I have two faded photos of us sitting and playing (a strict no-no at the time) /RayK
I don't remember exactly what my first video game was, but it was one of these three: 1) Space Wars -- which is the real commercial follow-on to Spacewar. Asteroids didn't come until later. 2) Lunar Lander 3) X's and O's football -- not sure if that's it's official title, but it was played on a table-top display with two track balls with two players against each other, playing football. The offense was the O's and defense was the X's. Basically you would either run with the ball or press a button to pass. The computer would control most of the other players, but each player would be controlling one player. You would seriously pinch your fingers in the track ball every few minutes on this game.
It was such a good feeling knocking down my first opponent, or that time you get a weapon for the first time, i remember the chain the most. that game was badass!
@@nirmalmanoj U never heard of John Atanasov a Bulgarian that thought the idea of non programmable computer just check it and yes he worked in the USA with some americans but the idea was told to the others by him But you will never see this after 2 years :/

Incredible Wizard, which was a port of the arcade game Wizard of Wor, on the Bally Astrocade. My dad bought an Astrocade in 1978 when I was born, and it was the system I grew up playing until we got an Apple IIc in 1984. Then in ‘87 I got an NES and the rest is history. Video games have been an integral part of my life, and now I have a 7 year old son who loves them as well. Great video!
my dad (born 1963) had the first computer in my country at his high school and only two people knew how to use it so he read giant books on programing and made a game (cant remember what it was, it was some sort of party game at the time). he is now a program architect and also gives lectures to programmers. i am now learning to program :)
First game? Pong. My parents had one of those clones from back in the day. Also had a lightgun game, with a pretty realistic-looking gun. All you did, was shoot at a moving square Yep, I'm getting old lol.
Pong, but not Atari's. It was another one, not technically a console. The player one controller was the console and it had a four position selector swicth to switch between 4 different games ( Pong, Hockey, something else I can't remember, and Skeet shooting with the optional gun attachment. ) Fun part was the gun still worked even if you had another game like pong selected. If the gun was still plugged in while two people where playing pong a third person could puck up the gun and shoot the ball off the screen annoying the other two players. Lots of fun. lol
I waited all night shift to watch this. I can't believe it was only 10 minutes. You should have made this an hour long. At least as part 2! I'm salty. But I love cold fusion.
As usual, Coldfusion never dissapoints when meking videos. Top notch! My first console was a GameGear with Columns bundled. With the cost of videos games back then I had to play this game for months before getting another game. Being a kid with no money to spend felt horrible at the time :-)
My first video game that i played was Super mario......But Dagogo you are a great TH-camr and we really appreciate your work. Thanks for all these videos.:)
Funny enough, I don't recall the first game I ever played but it was on the Atari 2600. I was born in 1973, and I still own my old Atari, and about 50 games. A few things Dagogo missed out on which isn't s big deal, but Comodore 64 was in that era. Only reason why I brought it up, it was a gaming machine with a keyboard. But when it comes down to having a solid, and functional platform, everybody needs to thank Atari. It was Atari that had many games available. As I look back when I purchased Defender from my local Sears store, as I recall it cost me $50... Modern games for one of the current platforms is about $60. So, all in all, the price of games hasn't changed all that much. I miss my childhood. Back then, things were so much simpler. Does technology help us today? Yes, but in a over - complicated way. Great work Dagogo!
And the Atari 2600 was what got me into gaming around 198-1988 or so... I was about 3 or 4... A guy rented the spare room of my parents house, and brought it with him; it was fantastic.
