Variable engine displacement systems are engine killers.
Self distruct systems. Its not a plus to mention in a sales brochure. AWD is great for the mechanics.
They love fixing these things.
$$$$. Rubber timing belt? Interference engine? Lolololol. Your mechanic is going to Hawaii this year. It is a nice car...and you will pay for it...in more than one way.

If they mean a "stop start" function is if you come to a stop the engine shuts off and then comes on again when you press the gas.....no thanks. I will avoid that like the plague and just shop elsewhere or another year.
