The Passport has a nice balance of off-road ruggedness and luxury. It's easy to see why Honda is selling so many of them.
They are actually not selling to well sadly.
Its because MPG... MILE PER. GALLON sucks ass. Worst in its class.
Where I live, the local Honda dealers are selling them pretty fast.
WRONG! It gets good gas mileage for an SUV of its size, especially when compared to some of the gas-guzzlers being put out by GM, Dodge, Ford and Toyota. Now you know. Pass it on.
I love the front end
I had the old Honda/ Isuzu Passport over 20 years ago. Great to see Honda now has their own PASSPORT. I’ve had 2 Honda Pilots and now have a CRV. I really dig these Passports, like a perfect in between Pilot and CRV size. 👏😎👍

Man this has to be one the most detailed reviews of a Honda passport or any vehicle if that matter. I was leaning to kia but me and the wife may just get a Honda.
Another feature you may never need. If for some reason the gas cover doesn’t open when you hit the button you can open the hatch back and on the left side close to the rear there is a 2 inch by 2 inch plug that is also carpeted that you can pry off (very easy to do and replace)and inside there is a lever you can pull back and the gas cover will open.

My wife would be a lost dog with all that text. She would never figure it out!
20" wheels with razor thin tires. Would ride much nicer on 19's with more sidewall not to mention on a trail.
I hope the next gen Passport will use Honda 10 speed AT

Excellent review - i’m currently comparing it to the newly released 2022 passport elite… Which does not have the LED headlights. I am more favorably impressed then with the 2021 should I decide on that compared to a Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy. I currently drive a 2006 Honda pilot with 183,000 fantastic miles on it. But have been planning to pass my current car onto one of my children.
The EX-L is the best bang for the buck trim

Great review. I've watched several reviews of the Honda Ridgeline, Pilot, & Passport. All three share the same engine/transmission. I understand there's no big weight difference. So, why is the Passport faster, or does it just seem faster?
Its lighter. Even a little bit makes a big difference
How is the noise in the cabin ? elite vs ex-l
Does it have tilt in reverse side mirrors? Also, how’s the sound system? I heard Honda
‘S sound systems aren’t that great.
I have the Elite and it has tilt down passenger or driver mirror or you can turn that feature off. Also heated and auto dimming outside mirrors. Again on the Elite the sound system is around 540 watts (I assume music power and not RMS) and it has 10 speakers that includes a subwoofer. You have three band equalizer/tone and controls for left, right, front, back, mid, and sub. It also has sound field zones for: all, rear, front, and driver. I like DTS and a basic system is included along with speed/volume control. Of course the sound is very subjective but I was surprised how good it sounds. Reasonable sound stage and the bass is not boomy but tight which is what I like in a subwoofer. Highs are crisp and transparent and not harsh. Vocals and mids also sound distinct and not colored. It is the best sound system overall out of the dozen or so vehicles I have owned. There are better systems out there but I am very happy with this Honda Passport audio system. Hope this helps.

Does it have more ground clearance than pilot?
Yes! The Passport offers up to 8.1-inches of ground clearance and the Pilot offers about 7.3-inches

We went to the dealer and got a quote for the Passport elite. After all the write up. We look at the ca and there is no wheel lock , no carpet, no cargo net and no sliding cover. The saleslady told us the that is for another level of passport. I thought when you you the top of the line everything is included. You should tell this in your video.

the awd can tow up to 5000 lbs. the fwd up to 3500 lbs
@@reyd8609 you’ll need an transmission cooler to tow above 3,500 lbs.
These buttons shifter are a serious turn off for me.
After a few months, you get used to it.

Does the rear hatch glass open separately for carrying long stuff?
Sorry no, the window is fixed. I have the cross rails on the roof and have carried several 10 ft. 2x4-inch lumber with no problems.
These things are priced about 20,000 too much lol
I know its ridiculous, pasted an elite badge on it for no other reason to put an elite price on it.
