i have the ipad 4 and it's possible, i use the lightning connector and it's work, the only thing is that you can't use the pad lock because the ipad sitting over the space of the padlock screws. but it's work very well.
Yeah, because the adapter sticks out a little too much. It's too bad they couldn't design a new pad lock to accommodate the difference with the adapter. I'm sure Mackie will release another update to the unit that will work with iPad minis and iPad 4's, and future generation iPads.

Mackie makes an adapter plate for the mini now.

its hardly an elegant solution the adaptor and the mini, what about the full sized pad v4, i cant see it fitting??
