I haven't forgotten about this channel? No, I haven't. Crazy, right?
This is /彁, my new favorite RD-Sounds album ender. For those of you who don't know, the character "彁" is a ghost character, or "yuurei moji" that doesn't actually exist in Japanese, and therefore has no meaning. You can read more about ghost characters here: www.sljfaq.org/afaq/yuureimoj...
Because it doesn't have any meaning, it made me wonder, how could anyone possibly speak the name of this song or the album? After giving it some more thought, maybe they could both be spoken as Yuureimoji? I'm still not sure, but it's kinda fascinating to think about imo.
Now, onto the song itself. I noticed some things while I was making this video, and I think I cracked the code of this song, so bear with me as I explain:
The aforementioned "彁" is likely to be a mistype of "彊", an outdated kanji which means "strong". Its modern form with the same meaning, "強", appears a number of times in the lyrics. "彁" itself also appears in the lyrics, where it is sung as other words (as the things that the girl in the song doesn't have). "彁" appears exactly three times, and at the very end where it would've appeared for a fourth time, "lalalala" is sung instead. Apparently, in Japanese, "lalalala" means that death or some other gruesome thing is happening (although as much as I've tried researching more about it, I can't find anything relevant). This is heard in plenty of other songs by RD-Sounds too. And since 4 is considered unlucky because it can be pronounced the same as "shi", which means death, well... Combined with the very last part of the lyrics, I think you get where I'm going with this. This is a very good song.
There are also some other parts of the song that are sung differently from what's written in the lyrics booklet. You can see those here: en.touhouwiki.net/wiki/Lyrics...
Also, not too long ago, Raildex and Alice Margatroid got deleted off of TH-cam... Losing all these Touhou doujin music channels over the years has made me want to make up for at least some of the videos that went with them, even if that means that this channel may end up going like them one day. But until then, please enjoy whatever content I have and will have in the future.
