    White clouds are also a good choice. They're also not fry eaters in my experience.

    Great info Mike. I have an endler tank and cories or shrimp seem like good tankmates. Happy Easter to you and your family. 👍💕💓💕

    Thank you 🙏 That was very informative and I feel ready to go get some Endler friendly fish mates for my tank, which is rather large and makes my very small colony (I’m restarting) look rather insignificant. Thank you again 😊

    Just for data purposes for those reading, i run endlers in a 130L tank with neon tetras, glass catfish, red cherry shrimp, Hillstream Loaches and clown/rocket killifish. All is well, there is also Ramshorn and Mystery Snails.

    I have a couple varieties of Endlers in tanks with cherry shrimp, otocinclus catfish, snails and one tank there are lots of scuds. They all seem to thrive together. In one tank my cherry shrimp are out breeding my Japanese Blue Endlers and in the Black Bar N tank they are quickly out growing the tank as there are fry everywhere.

      Thanks Dwayne! Endler's seem to have fry non-stop!

    How common is the interbreeding between guppies or endlers with mollies? Because i have a alone, virgin mollie with alot of guppies and endlers and she seems to never get pregnant.

    • @FishTankBarn
      @FishTankBarn  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Desiree, they will interbreed for sure but if there are a larger group of guppies or endlers they will keep to themselves and leave the mollies alone

    Can I put beta and guppies with
    it ?
    You mentioned interbreed ?

    • @FishTankBarn
      @FishTankBarn  ปีที่แล้ว

      You could put a betta but you won't many fry. They will interbred with guppies

    What about one honey or powder blue gourami with 6-10 endler males? (I don’t want any females because I don’t want breeding.) Thanks!

    • @FishTankBarn
      @FishTankBarn  ปีที่แล้ว

      I am not an expert on gourami's, I think the honey gourami's would be fine but I think the powder blue would be too big and might eat the endlers.

    Love my Endlers! I keep a Sorority tank of females so that I can enjoy their natural behavior without them constantly being 'pestered' by the males. The boys go into my Display tank where they school up together and just look Gorgeous!

    • @FishTankBarn
      @FishTankBarn  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Finn Wiggles! That is an interesting set up. The males definitely do pester the females.

      I know that Aquarium Coop filmed them on gravel in Peru but sand would be better for them than gravel.

    neon need a lower PH than endler

    • @FishTankBarn
      @FishTankBarn  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends I have done fine with Neons with hard water at an 8ph. Wild caught would need softer water for sure.

    Endlers are probably my favourite fish. Word of warning about female ones. They will take out juvenile cherry shrimps no problem. Seen it a few times. I keep them with CPD and Borellii Opals no problem. All these fish are happy in moderately hard water and temp of 74. You can also try Cherry barbs.
    Endlers are very hardy as you say and will swim to your hand.

    • @FishTankBarn
      @FishTankBarn  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great suggestions. Yeah you might lose some juveniles to a hungry female
