I'm a slow grower with fine hair too, now at month 12. On Month 9 it was still bad but to month 12 it got better. It's still not satisfying without shader, maybe at 18 months.
@@RichHandsome It certainly has improved, especially at the temples. New hairs came in and overall they got a bit thicker. I noticed the most improvement from month 17 to 18. They're still very thin compared to their fellas in the donor area though. I don't need a shader for the left temple now but still use it for the right because it's still not dense enough to look good when windy. The crown has improved too, but it's not dense enough either. I think it's still not finished, for me it just matures extremely slowly. Maybe I don't have classic mpb but scalp tension thinning, so the new grafts don't get that much blood either. It might take 2 years I guess. We'll see.
@@patrickj1066 this really gives me hope. I’m at month 12 to the day and its clearly not dense enough on temple corners so I’m still using hair fibre. Praying to be done by month 16 max .
Guys thanks for doing this video. I'm at 6 months and like many people frustrated, I dont even want to let it grow as its noticeably thinner in the middle than the front so I keep it shaved quite short. Praying that the next few months see progress as the donor areas apparently had 3 or 4 hairs per graft and I have thick dark hair usually.
Did you end up with a better result? I am also 6 months in, hairline filled out but not as much as expected while mid scalp and crown still not much growth at all
Sorry can you be more specific please, if I have a seethrough result at 9 months does it mean all the hairs are there but very thin or many of the hairs still have yet to push through?
I had transplant seven months ago to fix my receding hairline but the results are sub-optimal. I quit smoking for a month after the transplant and picked up after as the doctor was only concerned about the first month. Could smoking have killed hair grafts if done after the first month or it is likely delayed growth? I had a higher hemoglobin count when I got the transplant done.
I'm at 9 months after my hair transplant and feeling a bit worried about it, i have had some growth but the density is not good similar to this guy, i have noticed some finer hairs in there so im hoping there's more to come, this video is helpful.

Hi. Had a hair transplant 7 months ago to restore my hairline. The middle and right side has came through nicely but on the left side the hairs seem very weak and the coverage doesn’t match the rest of my hairline. Can different parts of the hair transplant come through unevenly at this stage? Many thanks
Having the same issues got my hair line done and slightly back plus crown. After 10 months the crown seems fine and the left and right side of my hairline look good but the right side of the middle are lagging back. I do see small hairs about .5 cm of thin hairs growing so I’m hoping they’re just delayed.
damn, I think I'm a slow grower, I'm at 4.5 months, and its looking quite thin right behind the hairline, the hairs that sprouted are getting longer and thicker, but I don't see any new sprouts at all in between them, it's just bald, no vellus hairs or anything.... You think I'll get some more sprouts in the 5th and 6 months?
Hi Feller and Bloxham . I had a transplant 12 months ago but have experienced little growth despite also using minoxyl. I am beginning to worry the transplant has failed . Is there any advice you can give other than being patient? Thanks, Matthew.
Hi Matthew, Sorry to hear about this. Obviously the generic advice is to just be a little patient. It truly does take 18 months for a transplant to mature. While you should have some sense of how things are shaping up by the 12 month mark, I have seen huge improvements through 18 months and even beyond. The next thing I would recommend is speaking to your clinic (if you have not done so already). They can likely guide you as to what may be happening. Next, I would recommend having the scalp evaluated to make sure there is not some other medical reason as to why the transplant may have "failed." If it looks like you do have standard male pattern hair loss and nothing else is going on, you may then need to consider having another transplant. You may want to speak with other clinics about their specific methods and see if a slightly different approach would yield different results. I hope this helps. Best of luck. -- Dr. Blake Bloxham
