    Hi cousin, Jim Rees here. I just bought a 2018 HRV LX a few weeks ago and so far I am extremely impresses with it. I`m already averaging 31 mpg. and it`s not even broken in yet.
    This is my first Honda and dang, what a great vehicle!

      I compared and researched many vehicles with awd, and the HRV came out on top overall. I got the LX model to avoid the touch screen and push button start mainly. Some tech features go a bit too far I believe. Take care Jeremy, see you at the family reunion!

    Honda should have kept the LX 'manual' radio infotainment system with the knobs standard in all the models or include the physical controls in the EX and up. For 2019, they definitely need to put in the 2.0 Civic engine for more peppiness. Softening the front seats need to be done also. If these are implemented I would definitely get one of these little bad boys.You're almost there Honda!

    Is it safe for legs to be on the front seat in event of a crash ? I only ask as this is the first time I've seen this done.

    How is the comparison of the interior and cargo space of the HRV and the Fit?

    • @JeremyRees
      @JeremyRees  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are quite a bit of similarities since Honda used the Magic Seat in both however behind the second row, the HRV is a clear winner. You get approximately 24 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row with the HRV and 16 in the Fit. With the second row folded down, you get about 59 cubic feet in the HRV and 53 in the Fit. You do sacrifice a decent amount of fuel economy though to gain this extra space.

    The front passenger doesn't have power door locks control. This is just one way Honda is cutting on cost.

    We own on just like it but Honda please at least put the 2.0L motor from the Honda Civic to this cute HR-V CUV. It is lacking the power which makes the noise from the engine bay very unrefined. Beside the motor, love everything about this CUV. Hope you will consider using at least a different motor in 2021...sale will rocket even more.

    Larger center storage console and adding a power door lock button on the passenger side would be 2 things that can be improved for the HRV ......

    There's nothing new for 2018? Looks the same as the 2016 model year. LOL Honda needs to at least put the 2.0 engine from the Civic to this CUV to get better low end torque. After all, that engine already achieved great fuel economy so why bother with the old 1.8 Engine.

      When Honda creates a new body, they keep it for at least 3 years before changing it. We are anticipating changes for the 2019 HR-V (the 4th year of this design) per Honda's typical cycle. We anticipate engine changes, façade changes, remote start and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration. Subscribe because as soon as the 2019 HR-V arrives, I will sure be uploading a video for it!

      Yes, its the refresh cycle but I hope that don't over due it like the Accord. I like the currently HR-V but hate the motor. Honda needs to focus on the motor aspect of the CUV...style already great...just needs more guts..
