    I have that same husky box. I got rid of the giant metal husky logo on the lid, took the magnet off the back wall, mounted it to the underside of the lid and put a piece of plywood on the back wall to screw chargers to. Was really happy with that and the box layout. Then the slides on the big full width drawer failed with about 100lb of sockets and ratchets in it. I was able to buy a used snap on box from a neighbor and just use that now. Held on to the husky and bought two pairs of new slides to try and convert that drawer to double drawer slides. I can stand in the drawers on the snap on with the tools in the drawers. It's a freaking beast. I paid less for it than I did for the husky too.

      That is awesome. Good to know about the long drawer, I will keep that in mind. I like that plywood/magnet swap idea. I would love to see that set up. At this point, I’m with this box for the long haul as it really has sentimental value now that I decided to keep it after the fall. Getting a snap-on box for less than a husky is a smoking deal I would never pass up. Proud for you.

      Wasn’t the “same” tool box in that case assuming this is the v3 box in the video based on the dual outlets and date but these have the dual slides in the full length drawer.

    Definitely do Menards tool reviews. I have Menards cordless tools and am happy with them. Hand tools are decent to, lifetime warranty.

      I will be posting Menards deals and reviews on this channel in the future, along with other stores that have good deals but get overlooked on you tube.

      I really like them being up there and I’m glad I was able to repurpose the lid. I think you would like it too. Let me know how it turns out.

    I like that lid as a shelf great idea!

    • @twoalphatools
      @twoalphatools  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. I really didn’t want to toss it, and I had been toying with building my own shelf. It might be overkill, but at least it didn’t go to waste and I got my shelf.

      @@twoalphatools honestly that’s the smartest use for a lid that I wouldn’t really use

    The gear wrench 120XP ratchets are pretty nice. You can pickup the set of four for around $140.

      @twoalphatools  ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s a good price. When I look to buy a set of full chrome ones I will keep that mind. Thanks!

    i use a 1/4 inch 15 mm all the time

    • @twoalphatools
      @twoalphatools  ปีที่แล้ว

      I can see it being useful in places with low clearance and low torque applications, and I’m sure you are not the only one to use them a lot as well or less companies would be manufacturing them. Thank you for your input

    make a comparison between the husky and us general box. currently looking at both tool boxes but can’t decide which one to go with.

    • @twoalphatools
      @twoalphatools  ปีที่แล้ว

      I can do that. I will be doing a tour of the U.S. general series 2 soon and I will put it in there or make a separate video.

    Do I see scratched off etching on some of those?! 😏

    • @twoalphatools
      @twoalphatools  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hahahaha. Nope, not at all. I bought them or dug them out of my grandpas estate sell finds. Although, he has bought some tools that I noticed at one point of time has had some kind of etching/stamp on it, but he didn’t know about it cause he buys tools by the lot.

    It's an expensive mistake to have four different battery platforms.

    • @twoalphatools
      @twoalphatools  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s only a mistake if you can’t convince yourself that it wasn’t a mistake.

    Skil , Ryobi , Craftsman and Milwaukee cordless drills. No way. I only use Makita and Dewalt. Milwaukee is severely overrated.

    • @twoalphatools
      @twoalphatools  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea Home Depot had their buy this get this deal on the Milwaukee and I had to get it to try it out. Out of all of the Milwaukee stuff, I think that I like the M12 stubby 3/8 impact and ratchet the best. The flex feels better than the Milwaukee IMO. As I said, I’m not particular to one brand, and you will not here me shouting “____ tools are the best company”. Dewalt has really stepped up their game and I would not be opposed to getting dewalt and trying it out as well. I feel like you have to use the tool to know if you will like it.
