    Here's a tip from someone that uses a toolbox like this all day, every day. Stick those drawer liners down with double sided tape or glue before you get it too loaded. When they bunch up as drawers open and close it becomes a pain in the ass.

  • @hunterw9502
    @hunterw9502 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I had a smaller husky toolbox. It was like 40-42in long. I used it for my gunsmithing hobby. Was able to fit and lock up like 5 whole guns in the hatch thing up top (after making a rack to sit inside) and it was just a table top tool chest. Could fit all my punches, wrenches, hammers, rivets, parts, power tools. All of it. I had it for a while until i eventually built my own from some sheet metal. But I took design influences from it. And since it sits on the edge of my table, I added a pegboard to the side to hang my guns vertically of the table.

    I just did the math on Home Depot web site. It is a better deal if you buy this set, instead of buying say the main tool chest/cabinet, and then over time were to add the other storage components. $8,990 for the set up like you have, but $10,052 if you build it over time. It also appears that any of the many other "kits" would be a better way to go price wise.

    They actually look super nice, but to much money for only 24" of drawer depth. I personally can't stand soft close or detent style slides, lift latch drawer pulls are where it's at. You can buy a Homak + hutch for FAR less than a hutch/box combo from Husky which is $5k. The TV-84Combo1 (Elite 84") from Tool Vault is way better imo. An extra grand or so, but the 84" workspace and 30" drawer depth is pretty hard to beat, especially if you don't want to fork out the $$ for one of the tool truck boxes.
