How about this: Sombra communicated with the god programs acting as a diplomat between them, and in an effort to reduce opposition of the second omnic rising were promised some kind of protection or power if they aided the omnics or god programs. So instead of a "who" leading Talon, its just the god program(s)? The programs are either under quarantine which only Sombra can access, or they are in hiding and only Sombra knows how to contact them.
I've actually thought of something like that as well, not that Sombra communicated with the god programs per say but that they may be doing this to become the dictators of the world and they plant to use the second Omnic crisis as the way of achieving it.
That could be possible, but then wouldn't it seem weird that Sombra is more interested in exposing the president of Lumerico and giving power back to the people of Mexico? Where do the god programs fit in there? Unless this "king" (likely self proclaimed) is communicating with the god programs and Sombra is trying to get the people to realize that Overwatch is needed again. It's a super long stretch, but reaper's line on Dorado; "Where's sombra when you need her", could imply she's gone off the map and no longer supports Talon/Blackwatch. I don't know if anything in game is directly related to the OW story or sombra ARG to the point where it's cannon, because if it is, then why would reaper fight with jack? Widow with Tracer? Etc. Seems like a lot of the Sombra ARG is simply retelling a story that happens in (your time in game) the future. In the game modes, why is the fist being transported? What's on the truck on Dorado? It's going to Lumerico, why? Did Agents(you) agree to help sombra? (Gibraltor/Dorado/route 66, one has a bomb(?)/Life pod? on it, why? Why does Sombra have so much influence and control over what's happening in the OW universe? Is Blizzard just trying to get us to focus on one thing? Is there a larger plot yet to be revealed? At what point does Blizz separate Gameplay from lore? Does the Sombra ARg tie into anything? Or is it just a really poorly executed ARG?
Anyone asked themselves this question: doesn't the story of Jack Morris and Gabriel Reyes bring some suspicion? in weird circumstances, they both confronted in OVerwatch HQ, suddenly, the whole place was down to ruins, what if that's not what really happened? What if the Talons are not as evil as they are pictured? we do see WidowMaker in "Alive" where Tracer was down and helpless on the ground, yet WidowMaker didn't take her out, perhaps because she's not really interested in killing her, but only Mondotta? I once heard that Jamison Fawkes (AKA Junkrat) found some very disturbing information that made him #1 wanted in the world, what did he exactly find out? So many questions remain unanswered, what I do think, if you notice in the end of "we are overwatch" is that at some point, all OverWatch & Talon agents will unite together against a common foe, who that is? hard to tell
There was always something off with Widowmaker with me. The whole mind control angle didn't sit well with me because she is very much lucid. Heck, she even sometimes shows remorse over Gerard's death. I think Amelie tried to convince Gerard to join Talon but when he refused, her hand was forced.
Blackwatch discovered Mercy's secret of human testing and became Talon to stop her. Reaper, McCree and Widowmaker are the good people here. The fact that she is the final boss in Junkestein's revenge is another clue. Also her devil skin shows that she is secretly the villain here.
I think Sombra I'd behind it because she rarely makes an appearance and it could be she pulls the strings from the shadows-it fits her stealthy personality.

I think this group Talon was behind the Omnic resistance, and while Overwatch was created only to go after the Omnics, Morrison and Reyes secretly created Blackwatch to hunt down the humans behind all of it. Most of the old Overwatch crew have a problem with Omnics, Torbjorn, Zarya, Dva all dislike them, but soldier 76 is quiet about them. Talon probably had people high up in political office that leaked Blackwatch killing people and how Overwatch was related, so they had them disbanded, which led to the fight between Reyes and Morrison, and Talon took Reyes' body and rebuilt it with some sort of nanomachines and programmed him to what he is. Gerard Lacroix was probably a Talon agent that betrayed them and gave up information to Overwatch, and when they couldn't get to him they got his wife Amelie. At least that's what the story seems to be so far. Of course, Blizzard has a habit of flipping the script, usually creating some sort of panda clusterfuck in the process.
What Talon wants - Just like all other evil organizations. Control. Who wouldn't want a whole continent named after you? Who is leading them - Not Sombra (Because she was most likely assigned to be Reaper's accomplice and Reaper most likely became apart of Talon after it was formed) but maybe Doomfist or Liao but I think someone or something more sinister or unmentioned is among the Overwatch universe What they're made of - Probably composed of MULTIPLE smaller gangs like the neon tattoo gang (IDK what they're called) to draw attention away from Talon in El Dorado and some possibly corrupted organizations like Vishkar to fund them but former Blackwatch members joined them after the fall of Overwatch while some former Overwatch members were either killed by them or kidnapped and brainwashed to fight in their ranks like Widowmaker.
My thought was that Talon is a god program like AI left by the Omnics when Overwatch rose to power to stop them during the Omnic Crisis. In knowing that the omnics couldn't stop Overwatch physically, I was thinking they resorted to espionage and then established Talon as a terrorist group.

do we know that they want to destabilize human amnick relations? I mean the only example of them trying to do that that I know of is the mundata incident which made him a martyr, but what if that WAS the plan, make him a martyr to strengthen everyone? I mean ya reaper is creepy and has an ax to grind with 76 but he is a good person, sort of, what if the end goal of talon is something good but they are ends justify the means people, after all no one is the villain of there own story.
I cant help but think that there's something wrong with Widowmaker's BG Story ever since I heard her interaction with Ana. The part where she says: "You know nothing about him (Gerard)". It makes him look like the bad guy. Maybe Gerard isn't so innocent in the story. Maybe he has something to do with the Overwatch Civil War. Personally, I feel it is just that Amelie still truely loves him and feels remorse for killing him. Therefore, she responds like that because Ana's talking shit on her true love.

They also can locate others overwatch agents. 3)the effort to steal doomfist gaunlet: they maybe try to use the weapon or retrieve it for doomfist himself because doomfist might be weak without his weapon and he dont want to risk his life to retrieve it himself. so i think doomfist might be working/the leader of talon.
I like your ideas! They're really good, I like the idea of Reaper's hacking move becuase Sombra is a trickster so maybe she gave Reaper the hacking device and said "If you want me in, you're gonna have to find me" so the hacking device was a clue or something to help Reaper

i think your close to the right idea i just see talon as carrying out overwatch's original mission to extreme means what if there whole goal is to not only stop the second omni crisis but to make sure omnics never rise again they attacked Winston to get the overwatch list to try and sway overwatch memebers to join there side(they didnt want Winston cus he more.then likely would side with the omnics as seeing his close relationship with Athena) the attack on the god ai could have been them trying to force phara and her team to destroy it, the assiantion of the omnic leader would cause the destabilization of omnics human relation, i know blizzard like to do grey story telling just look at the horde and the alliance in wow both heading to the same finish line on to separate tracks
I think that Liao is the leader of Talon. She wants power to control. She wants to control omnics (keep them safe from God Programm). But she hates Overwatch for some reasons. She needs doomfist. Also I noticed that Widowmaker offered Hanzo to join Talon. Maybe Talon wants weapons from Shimada? Who knows
Maybe Talon wants to know the Shimada's secret to the dragons. In the animated short, it's confirmed that Hanzo and Genji's ults are real, "physical" things, Hanzo says that only a Shimada can wield the dragons. Whether it's some kind of secret technology, some genetic, x-men type ability that runs in the family, or some ancestral magical, mystical, mythical secret bs. If you play the game, you've seen what 2 people that can wield the dragons could do, so imagine what an army or at the very least about a dozen could do with that ability.
One theory I have had in my mind is that perhaps the former Overwatch operators found out something about the Overwatch or the god programs which made them turn on the Overwatch organization in the belief that they are fighting to save humanity from something. Way to hell is paved with good intentions.

my 2 cents: Talon would be lead by people youl never find out. The next doomfist will be a Omnic who unifies the omnics after talon successfully activates a god program (possibly doomfist itself) and starts a war on people. which makes sense with the new game mode coming out with Omnic swarms.
I believe Doomfist (The Scourge) is the "leader" of Talon. One of Talon's primary missions is to retrieve The Doomfist, probably to be used by some member of Talon, but who? Sometimes when Reaper plays on Numbani, he will say "Doomfist should do his own dirty work" which implies The Scourge (or another Doomfist, who knows) is commanding Reaper, or someone is commanding him on behalf of Doomfist. Recently The Doomfist has been successfully stolen from the Numbani payload and used to destroy some OR-15s in the airport, so we can expect something new to come out around or after the time Orisa gets added to the live servers.
well in all honestly yes Talon is most likely balckwatch AND overwatch EX-agents. However I'm disappointed in you for thinking Gabriel (Reaper) is their leader B/C most of the evidence points to him looking for the original people that caused the "fall" you know 'keep your friends close keep your enemy's closer'. Just think the bad blood between him and Jack is most likely b/c Gabe thought Jack was corrupt. as for who it could be most likely suspect is someone within or has close ties to the UN itself 'war is the best cover for crime'
I believe Talon's struggle with Overwatch mirrors Cobra's with G.I. Joe. However, I am suspicious of the so-called God Programs. They remind me a lot of the Goa'uld from the Stargate series. Even though Talon is a legitimate threat, could there be an even deadlier power behind the scenes, maybe manipulating the mysterious leader of Talon? Maybe all our missions have been leading up to a showdown between the God Programs and the heroes. After all, the Halloween event will be bringing us a new challenge. Overwatch and Talon may have to work together if this theory comes to fruition.
I think it's also worth mentioning that it's implied Talon (or at least Widowmaker; due to a voice conversation between Hanzo and Widow in Hanamura) is willing to help Hanzo (and maybe Genji because they're brothers and both amazing potential Talon recruits; one of them is a former overwatch agent and both of them are highly skilled fighters) restore his (their?) family's criminal empire, to which Hanzo is reluctant fearing the repercussions. I mean, their family probably was powerful and a major influence in it's day, but other than that it wouldn't make sense to restore a fallen crime family in a very localized region as opposed to a say an entire city government or regional government in Japan.
Blackwatch, which was run by Reyes, has been noted as doing kidnapping, torture and murder which was bad enough but what if Reyes wanted to do things that wouldn't even show up on Overwatch files at all! My theory is that Reyes started Talon, that way he could conduct operations completely 'of the books' and it would explain how Talon obtained high level gear and technology (Amelie's conversion to widowmaker to start with) as well as why overwatch could never beat Talon. Talon had an 'inside man' being the head of Blackwatch.
Realistically I think it would be Liao. The strong founder ties to Overwatch would certainly be helpful in knowing how Overwatch works to make double agents from it's Blackwatch ranks.
There is definitly something else formed Talon - on the moment Widowmaker was working succesfully, Overwatch was still functioning without problems - Ana never mentiontoned any probemls of Overwatch since she was agent there, Reaper wasn`t Reaper and wasn`t been able to head it on that time and I guess he is clever enought not to use simple Blackwatch agents at Talon missions - somebody definitly complain to Morrison. I guess Reaper just working with Talon when he finds their opperations interesting for him.
There's an alternative theory that Talon is merely an organization that's just using more extreme methods to do good. Like the Widowmaker assassination of Mondatta, it resulted in the erection of his statue and that was said to have further strengthened the bonds between humans and omnics. We can also see the way they're persistently trying to gather weapons as a way to ensure it never falls into the wrong hands, maybe a lack of confidence in Overwatch being the only guardian force around. Also, it could be argued that Talon exists to keep Overwatch on their toes, constantly making sure they never get complacent, possibly preparing them for a larger crisis in the future (2nd omnic crisis maybe?). Who knows?
I think Athena might be rouge and playing the game on both sides. That would be strange but we're talking about blizzard. These people are very sneaky and are always hiding things from us players. Maybe the purple cube was like a flash drive for Anubis and Talon needed that god program to stop Athena and take out Overwatch and the omnics for good.

Mccree noticed similar tactics because the assault on the train happened years after Reyes became Reaper and joined Talon. Talon existed and was a problem before Overwatch's downfall.
so i looked up bastion in the overwatch main page of charecter info witch lead me to sst indistrys the place that built the omnics/bastions also some kinda sst coding thing about skeletal programs i dont know coding at all :/ so idk where that lead but i did more reasurch in the lore and found out about the god protocal and the anubis my game has been verry glitchylatly so i havent exsplored anubis yet but there was said to posibly be other god protocals of witch they can control all lesser robots (anna took it down with her squad) but knowing a major power plant was just hacked by sombra leads me to think they want to biuld another one and the only working factory i know of is volskya so maybe look there? if not maybe sst industrys? sorry they meaning reaper widowmaker and sombra aka talon all speculation i peaced together with a few hours of reading the lore for the first time ever based on wiki entry.after watching this i think im right as the bots are probly powered down incase of another omnic revolt as a way to control them us bein humans think "well shit that cant possibly happen again can it? pft no"

Talon can't be made of ex blackwatch members maybe some but the reason is Widowmaker was never in blackwatch and the talon soliders in recall didn't have the fighting tactics of the agents like reaper but the person behind talon isn't confirmed but who have we never seen before like one of the overwatch founders maybe lial maybe she went rogue because of the downfall of overwatch

I don't think its reaper but more like reaper brought in some old blackwatch tactics as a part of whatever deal he made with talon. That wouls explain the blackwatch tactics and i say that reaper isn't directly from talon because he has a short dialogue with widowmaker saying "good to work with you again" with a response along the lines of "hope it goes better than last time" refering to the doomfist failed theft and indicating that they don't work together on a regular basis

u think it could be the god program itself, if it is ment to be a god or god like ai it would likely be able to, even in confinement, still have some access to things such as forms of communication, allowing them to pull strings and order Talon and it's forces without stepping into the light and being made known
i get the feeling that talon and overwatch are kind of like hydra and shield. talon either originated from, or planted sleeper agents within overwatch/blackwatch, and when shit hit the fan, they went out of their way to recall all their own agents, and recruit other former overwatch members.

I mean the only example of them trying to do that that I know of is the mundata incident which made him a martyr, but what if that WAS the plan, make him a martyr to strengthen everyone? I cant help but think that there's something wrong with Widowmaker's BG Story ever since I heard her interaction with Ana. The part where she says: "You know nothing about him (Gerard)". It makes him look like the bad guy.

1)widow maker moves: she kill mondata either to disbalanced omnics and human or to lure overwatch agents from undercover.
2)reaper hacking move: they maybe want to hack winstons computer to locate sombra which might have one of the god programs. They also can locate others overwatch agents.
3)the effort to steal doomfist gaunlet: they maybe try to use the weapon or retrieve it for doomfist himself because doomfist might be weak without his weapon and he dont want to risk his life to retrieve it himself. so i think doomfist might be working/the leader of talon.
that last idea is actually really out of the box and I coukd actually see that being a thing

i think your close to the right idea i just see talon as carrying out overwatch's original mission to extreme means what if there whole goal is to not only stop the second omni crisis but to make sure omnics never rise again they attacked Winston to get the overwatch list to try and sway overwatch memebers to join there side(they didnt want Winston cus he more.then likely would side with the omnics as seeing his close relationship with Athena) the attack on the god ai could have been them trying to force phara and her team to destroy it, the assiantion of the omnic leader would cause the destabilization of omnics human relation, i know blizzard like to do grey story telling just look at the horde and the alliance in wow both heading to the same finish line on to separate tracks

Maybe Talon wants to know the Shimada's secret to the dragons. In the animated short, it's confirmed that Hanzo and Genji's ults are real, "physical" things, Hanzo says that only a Shimada can wield the dragons. Whether it's some kind of secret technology, some genetic, x-men type ability that runs in the family, or some ancestral magical, mystical, mythical secret bs. If you play the game, you've seen what 2 people that can wield the dragons could do, so imagine what an army or at the very least about a dozen could do with that ability.

One theory I have had in my mind is that perhaps the former Overwatch operators found out something about the Overwatch or the god programs which made them turn on the Overwatch organization in the belief that they are fighting to save humanity from something. my 2 cents: Talon would be lead by people youl never find out. The next doomfist will be a Omnic who unifies the omnics after talon successfully activates a god program (possibly doomfist itself) and starts a war on people. which makes sense with the new game mode coming out with Omnic swarms.

One of Talon's primary missions is to retrieve The Doomfist, probably to be used by some member of Talon, but who?
Sometimes when Reaper plays on Numbani, he will say "Doomfist should do his own dirty work" which implies The Scourge (or another Doomfist, who knows) is commanding Reaper, or someone is commanding him on behalf of Doomfist.
Recently The Doomfist has been successfully stolen from the Numbani payload and used to destroy some OR-15s in the airport, so we can expect something new to come out around or after the time Orisa gets added to the live servers.
well in all honestly yes Talon is most likely balckwatch AND overwatch EX-agents. However I'm disappointed in you for thinking Gabriel (Reaper) is their leader B/C most of the evidence points to him looking for the original people that caused the "fall" you know 'keep your friends close keep your enemy's closer'. Just think the bad blood between him and Jack is most likely b/c Gabe thought Jack was corrupt.
as for who it could be most likely suspect is someone within or has close ties to the UN itself 'war is the best cover for crime'
I believe Talon's struggle with Overwatch mirrors Cobra's with G.I. Joe. However, I am suspicious of the so-called God Programs. They remind me a lot of the Goa'uld from the Stargate series. Even though Talon is a legitimate threat, could there be an even deadlier power behind the scenes, maybe manipulating the mysterious leader of Talon? Maybe all our missions have been leading up to a showdown between the God Programs and the heroes. After all, the Halloween event will be bringing us a new challenge. Overwatch and Talon may have to work together if this theory comes to fruition.

I think it's also worth mentioning that it's implied Talon (or at least Widowmaker; due to a voice conversation between Hanzo and Widow in Hanamura) is willing to help Hanzo (and maybe Genji because they're brothers and both amazing potential Talon recruits; one of them is a former overwatch agent and both of them are highly skilled fighters) restore his (their?) family's criminal empire, to which Hanzo is reluctant fearing the repercussions. I mean, their family probably was powerful and a major influence in it's day, but other than that it wouldn't make sense to restore a fallen crime family in a very localized region as opposed to a say an entire city government or regional government in Japan.
Blackwatch, which was run by Reyes, has been noted as doing kidnapping, torture and murder which was bad enough but what if Reyes wanted to do things that wouldn't even show up on Overwatch files at all! My theory is that Reyes started Talon, that way he could conduct operations completely 'of the books' and it would explain how Talon obtained high level gear and technology (Amelie's conversion to widowmaker to start with) as well as why overwatch could never beat Talon. Talon had an 'inside man' being the head of Blackwatch.
Realistically I think it would be Liao. The strong founder ties to Overwatch would certainly be helpful in knowing how Overwatch works to make double agents from it's Blackwatch ranks.
There is definitly something else formed Talon - on the moment Widowmaker was working succesfully, Overwatch was still functioning without problems - Ana never mentiontoned any probemls of Overwatch since she was agent there, Reaper wasn`t Reaper and wasn`t been able to head it on that time and I guess he is clever enought not to use simple Blackwatch agents at Talon missions - somebody definitly complain to Morrison. I guess Reaper just working with Talon when he finds their opperations interesting for him.
There's an alternative theory that Talon is merely an organization that's just using more extreme methods to do good.
Like the Widowmaker assassination of Mondatta, it resulted in the erection of his statue and that was said to have further strengthened the bonds between humans and omnics.
We can also see the way they're persistently trying to gather weapons as a way to ensure it never falls into the wrong hands, maybe a lack of confidence in Overwatch being the only guardian force around.
Also, it could be argued that Talon exists to keep Overwatch on their toes, constantly making sure they never get complacent, possibly preparing them for a larger crisis in the future (2nd omnic crisis maybe?). Who knows?

I think Athena might be rouge and playing the game on both sides. That would be strange but we're talking about blizzard. These people are very sneaky and are always hiding things from us players. Maybe the purple cube was like a flash drive for Anubis and Talon needed that god program to stop Athena and take out Overwatch and the omnics for good.

So, if reaper was the leader of blackwatch dont you think if talon is made up of ex blackwatch members dont you think reaper would be the one to lead talon. I mean overwatch did move him to blackwatch and made jack the leader, so dont you think that he would be mad. Possibly mad enough to make his own team to sabotage or bring down overwatch. And after he seen how strong his team was head want to move on to bigger things like taking over god programs. But idk its just a theory.
Mccree noticed similar tactics because the assault on the train happened years after Reyes became Reaper and joined Talon. Talon existed and was a problem before Overwatch's downfall.
so i looked up bastion in the overwatch main page of charecter info witch lead me to sst indistrys the place that built the omnics/bastions also some kinda sst coding thing about skeletal programs i dont know coding at all :/ so idk where that lead but i did more reasurch in the lore and found out about the god protocal and the anubis my game has been verry glitchylatly so i havent exsplored anubis yet but there was said to posibly be other god protocals of witch they can control all lesser robots (anna took it down with her squad) but knowing a major power plant was just hacked by sombra leads me to think they want to biuld another one and the only working factory i know of is volskya so maybe look there? if not maybe sst industrys? sorry they meaning reaper widowmaker and sombra aka talon all speculation i peaced together with a few hours of reading the lore for the first time ever based on wiki entry.after watching this i think im right as the bots are probly powered down incase of another omnic revolt as a way to control them us bein humans think "well shit that cant possibly happen again can it? pft no"

Talon can't be made of ex blackwatch members maybe some but the reason is Widowmaker was never in blackwatch and the talon soliders in recall didn't have the fighting tactics of the agents like reaper but the person behind talon isn't confirmed but who have we never seen before like one of the overwatch founders maybe lial maybe she went rogue because of the downfall of overwatch

I don't think its reaper but more like reaper brought in some old blackwatch tactics as a part of whatever deal he made with talon. That wouls explain the blackwatch tactics and i say that reaper isn't directly from talon because he has a short dialogue with widowmaker saying "good to work with you again" with a response along the lines of "hope it goes better than last time" refering to the doomfist failed theft and indicating that they don't work together on a regular basis

u think it could be the god program itself, if it is ment to be a god or god like ai it would likely be able to, even in confinement, still have some access to things such as forms of communication, allowing them to pull strings and order Talon and it's forces without stepping into the light and being made known
i get the feeling that talon and overwatch are kind of like hydra and shield. talon either originated from, or planted sleeper agents within overwatch/blackwatch, and when shit hit the fan, they went out of their way to recall all their own agents, and recruit other former overwatch members.
