Totally different than Nascar, left wheels are left hand threads on a sprint car to prevent the 1 wheel nut from coming loose. The rear-end sheered off just behind the wheelnut.

THAT WAS SCARY 😳 Never saw a tire literally break off of any race car like that one did. Sprint cars are so fast and I know they have tons of safety features and continue to add things trying to improve on driver safety but those car's aren't safe. I'm a die hard Dirt Track Racing Loving Fan for 60 plus years and I have watched some Sprint car races on TV and videos and one in person at SCREVENS Speedway in Sylvania Georgia and I always knew the Sprint cars were fast but when I saw them up close on the track, WOW!!! I was blown away by how fast their lap times were and how easy it was to get to close to a fellow racer and chaos ensued and it was extremely scary not knowing if the driver was coming out of any of the mangled cars. I prefer super late models, street stock , and even 4 cylinder classes although going from a super late model and a crate late going to a 4 cylinder has to be like driving a snail 🐌 LOL 😂😂😂😂. THANK GOD FOR THIS DRIVER BEING ABLE TO GET OUT OF THIS CAR AFTER THAT VIOLENT WRECK FROM A FREAK ACCIDENT OF SOME PART BEING FAULTY OR JUST BREAKING!!! He definitely had GOD AND GUARDIAN ANGEL'S RIDING IN THAT CAR WITH HIM 🙏😇🙏💞🤗💞
If you look carefully you can see that the axle did not break, that wheel was never tightened. You can see the wheel nut flying off in the shot that was taken from the 3rd turn area. Someone f**ked up big time
Hate seeing these wheels fly off. Just glad it wasn't in turn four but it's only a matter of time...
Then everyone will say "how could we have seen this coming"
Thank God for that wing keeping Hunter safe and the car from executing more violent rolls.

Axle tube broke, it happens
Looks like the axle broke 😬
Must of had previous damage , a weak spot on the axle....should of swapped rear end..and had it rebuilt. Costly error. Could of been worse. Glad he is ok and not too much damage to the car.
Hunter had rough year
I saw a rear wheel come off of a 410 during qualifying at Knoxville. Going into turn 3 at full speed 😬
