There's nothing wrong with a kid loving to sing (I did and still do), but she feels bad for kids that are striving to get famous singing so young, because their voice will change drastically after a certain age (puberty's a bitch), so they might not even have a chance to make it big.
Not just that but they miss out on so much of being a normal kid. If they do make it, their life becomes about vocal training, traveling, performances, tv appearances... they get homeschooled a fair bit as well so they miss out on the social aspects of growing up. The thing about Angelica is that they played her off as a a cute little girl in the first episode and then from then on she was wearing make up and they were trying to make her look adult. Like stick to one tactic.
It actually bothers me how she looks and dresses now. She’s always flashing a Gucci backpack, etc. Not truly experiencing childhood and kind of ruined the child like innocence she used to (or seemed to) have. She’s grown up too quickly and it’s sad.
None of the talent shows are to be admired if you look at what goes on behind the scenes. The first year they dropped the xfactor audition age to 13, i auditioned. I'm grade 6 trained and had been working on my voice since i could talk basically. The first audition you do is in front of the producers, not the judges, and they took me to one side and told me to go home and lose a couple of stone then try again the year after because i wouldn't be "marketable" because i was overweight. Who the fuck says that to a 13 year old and is able to sleep at night knowing they've just given that kid a complex about their weight? For context, i was 5ft8inches and 12 stone 2lb...
That’s appeal of these talent shows, you want to see normies succeed. If you enjoy these shows knowing about it’s staged, you’ve done something great. I watch swedish Idol because I want to see rising stars, despite the lack of joke acts these days, building up the contestants, is what I like about it.
I saw a child performer on AGT who did some OK-ish animal impressions, and the judges were all impressed. If an adult did that, they would not have moved on.

I sat in the live audience of an AGT show and they tell everyone to look as happy as possible and if one person stands up the rest of the section HAS TO stand up and if there are 4 yeses than you have to give a standing ovation. They also give gift card prizes to someone they noticed was “extra excited”. They also have a person that fouled out between the acts to get the crowd pumped and he also tells us when to clap and cheer. It was kind of disappointing to see how fake it was. And I could never watch the show in the same way ever again.
The producers made her, it's always a requirement for the contestant to have a sob story to make the show interesting. Like, have you watched some "reality shows"? That's how the entertainment industry works bruh.
@@Arguing.With.Idiots. yeah, if you have some sort of sob story to go with the act it gets people to root for you out of sympathy and will get people to continue watching the show

literally just because somebody gets bullied doesn't mean they deserve golden buzzer. They shouldn't get the judges and strangers into their personal life because they don't have anything to do with it. They're just a performer to the judge, not a good friend. So git.
There is a kid named Justin from the voice, he sung in a way that I’d actually listen too on the radio and I like it more than the original. The song is “lovely”
music brings out questionable expressions of people when theyre really passionate about it, and some people, like Courtney, show their passion in unique ways. I don't want to come off as a know-it-all (which I am right now), but it really annoys me when people complain about little things like that. IT HELPS HER FEEL GOOD ON STAGE WHILE PERFORMING.
There are such things as stage presence, and if you want to appeal to a wide audience you must learn them. But if you are more dedicated to your art and expression, I have no problem with it obviously, you just may not be very popular...
This reminded of the Zoe Alexander situation when she was rejected for being "unoriginal" and was a Pink tribute artist. She was actually set up by the producers, they made her sing a Pink song. A child does the same thing and everybody is wooed 🤷🏻♀️

Here's the formula to a golden buzzer. Create or sing an emotional song Have a tragic backstory Sing it decently Have Simon clap Bam you got a golden buzzer. *THIS IS A JOKE, DONT TAKE IT SERIOUSLY*
Honestly it does seem like that. I hate AGT. And every show related to the “tv talent show” genre. It’s just so irritating, it should only be about the music. It shouldn’t matter who sings. If you suck, you suck, and the auditions are for the people who suck while the real show is filled with lies and sob stories. Fuck them.
Finally someone expressing what I've always been thinking. Being a child doesn't make your actions impressive. Granted, she has a fantastic vocal range and control at 9 years old, but as he says, it's about the music at the end of the day. The novelty is cute, but yeah
I have to feel for child stars. Some of them put in so much time and effort as a kid, and end up wrecked as an adult. Just take Frankie Lymon for example. Had a one-hit wonder song with "Why do Fools Fall in Love" in the 1950s as a 14 year old with his brothers, and completely burnt out by his early 20s. By this point, he was still an amazing singer, but nobody paid attention to him anymore. Passed away at the age of 25 due to a drug overdose. Do not forget him.
@Allison McClendon no he clearly doesn't mean anyone else. I hate it when people say "I think you mean something or someone else". Why would they mean something else in a comment completely aimed at a specific person. It's just idiotic to me tbh.
@Allison McClendon we have only three people on the team and only one of them is named Simon. Nobody else is called Simon so fricking why would they confuse them with anyone else?! Alright rant done.

I was so confused like ummm. I thought something happened
music brings out questionable expressions of people when theyre really passionate about it, and some people, like Courtney, show their passion in unique ways.

Create or sing an emotional song
Have a tragic backstory
Sing it decently
Have Simon clap
Bam you got a golden buzzer.

It’s like when children throw paint at a canvas and sell it for thousands.
Ya- its only kinda easy for some of them bc they don't get voice cracks and they can belt easily
It is impressive it just doesnt make the art better.

Why does your icon jiggle?.. I hate it
I have to feel for child stars.
