I really like it how the characters actually have a role in the battle, instead of being useless, and you being a one man commanding the entire country, your just one of the few captains listening orders from high command, and sometimes you don't always get the roughest and toughest objectives.
You're definitely right about the voice acting. This game has the best voice acting I've ever heard. The game itself is amazing, as well, for when it was made.
Fun fact about the M551 Sheridan, the turret is the only part of the tank that has actual armor, the rest is a Styrofoam like material with an aluminum alloy coating it
Great show Raptor! Blitz'd through watching all 5 tonight and couldn't have been better spent.. Wish we could have gotten a Wargame Red Dragon/World in Conflict hybrid instead of Act of Aggression.. I'll keep my fingers crossed though. Anyway, great fun. Amazing how much detail they packed into this game that I missed due to frenetic action when playing. I love the slow-mo camera of Wargame to occasionally enjoy the key scenes.. Great videos and thanks again!
+CamoflagedTumbleweed (..and I need the slo-mo to even get close to keeping track of all the chaos that you were juggling realtime. I'm to old for multiplayer at that speed but enjoy the option in singleplayer campaigns like this.) Thanks again Raptor.
I shout to the screen when USS Missouri is coming with those high calibre guns.My units are dying enough and Bannon wont stop complaining to the colonel.
Just watching this brings back memories of multi-player and the game in general. One battle in particular on this map, I managed to get a triple nuke and triple carpet bomb. Killed a lot of stuff and destroyed the entire town for the most part. Those were the good old days
One point that is over looked by these type of games is America's non-military militia units. America is one of the most heavily civilian armed countries in the world - with civilians owning anti-tank rifles, machine guns, sniper rifles, etc. Any invasion (especially in built up areas) would run into American 'partisan units', that would cause the Russians/Soviets to divert military units, to safe guard supply routes/depots, etc. Russian vehicles going through cities & towns would have to run gauntlets of petrol & chlorine bombs being dropped on them from roof tops, while facing booby trapped gasoline tankers parked next to road ways (think Taliban, but in built up areas). Thoughts?
You aren't wrong, it was just that my brain slams itself into the walls of my skull whenever I watch youtubers make silly mistakes. But you are right, everyone makes mistakes. You've played with me before, I am god awful at this style of gaming xDDD
If I was going to choose anywhere in Washington to be the battle ground it would most definitely be Bonney lake so many god damn hills there I’d love to see the Russians dr to drive their tanks on all the curves in the road, rain, and potholes, though I do have a question for this game does it ever rain in it Washington without rain is like Alabama without incest
you should change your formation into box more often and control groups so you can use special abilities much faster etc also you actually dont even have to capture the supermarket and just leave your troops at the radio station and use your tp to bomb them.
One thing i don't get about the story of this game, is how do the russians keep getting reinforcements through to the mainland? Sure the first wave they snuck past but after that, how is the us navy not stopping them? Not to mention the massive air assets the navy has to shoot down those russian transport planes, while the russians can't have had any short-haul aircraft in the area. I love the story in this game but this plot hole has always bugged me.
+Hector Reyes That's pretty much the gist of it. The Russians have free reign to pull in whatever they want. Also, during the initial assault they captured several air bases that they're using as staging points.
Yeah in a lot of cut scenes they mention the navy has been having a rough time, the 6th fleet is gone, and it's mentioned the pacific fleet has been ravaged and doesn't have the strength to stop the Chinese. Remember the US Navy is having to defend all the NATO Alliance's logistics, guarding MidEast oil South American food deliveries and US troop and equipment convoys in the Atlantic. That would be hard enough with our peacetime 10-11 Carrier battle groups, let alone if we lost several in the opening weeks as the game says. So the Navy is spread thin keeping the convoys protected and doesn't have the strength to guard the alliance logistics convoys and try and cut the Soviet supply lines to Seattle, and without those convoys the War is lost. That's a big theme to this game that we essentially sacrifice parts of the Homeland to keep Europe secured, I mean think about it we'd rather nuke our own soil than recall troops and win the Homeland campaign easily because it would cost us Europe, because that is where the war will be won or lost.
good god, you completly forgot about you M1 and let it die without moving it away to the supermarket, you lost it at the hill above the tv station... i was shouting at the screen looking at it's health going down and you not looking for it ^^
Misread the title slightly.Soviet assault didn't take into account you were being assaulted. And not the other way around that you were the soviets assaulting.Got confused until 5 minutes in.

"The town is ours!"
Well...what's left of it!
Can't believe you saved the church! I never managed to get through this level without it getting reduced to shrapnel. You did damn good.
Fun fact about the M551 Sheridan, the turret is the only part of the tank that has actual armor, the rest is a Styrofoam like material with an aluminum alloy coating it
Man cornel sawyer is a badass standing in snipers view as one of his men gets shot just to finish the mission briefing
That town hall really does look like the one from Back to the Future.

I just love how you are meant to be parker and he is the silent soldier who get the job done (well back when video game had actual good story to them.
Battle of Pine Valley is my most favorite WIC mission. I always both use infantry and armor in one.
i remember playing this level as a demo a billion times i can play this map with my tied and my eyes closed perfectly.
37:10 Is one of my favorite cut scenes from any game ever
This game is so badass.
I shout to the screen when USS Missouri is coming with those high calibre guns.My units are dying enough and Bannon wont stop complaining to the colonel.
Oh God damnit !
You're playing at World in Conflict !
Just blow up everything !
Just watching this brings back memories of multi-player and the game in general. One battle in particular on this map, I managed to get a triple nuke and triple carpet bomb. Killed a lot of stuff and destroyed the entire town for the most part. Those were the good old days
I love aftermath of the battles
You did well raptor, but I felt offended after you abandoned that poor M1A1
Like the scene from Battle Los Angeles when the M1 tank sacrificed itself on the freeway.
Raptor should apply for a job at Eugen or something of the sort.

Best game I ever played in my entire life so far. The best history ever!
Just saying, Ace Combat is the second....

Half of us were probably cursing at one part of that incompetence of you not paying attention to your first M1.Like at All.. So..Yeah.
Still looking forward to your Plays regardless there.
+muhd sameer You must be talking about Bannon. ;)
Nope. When you got your first m1 and then kinda didnt pay attention to it a few minutes later.Sorry for being harsh but you kinda left it there. ._.

Dude the war is also going on in Europe so maybe the us navy is over there and only the coast guard is available to defend the us

2011: Without narration
2015: With narration
you see folks...
decommissioned is just a nice word for mothballed
battleships might be impractical these days, but they sure aren't usless
Bannon ! Fight or hand over command to someone who will !
one of the best games out there
I like how whenever there's a cutscene with parker half of his face is off screen
Hejdå, tack så mycke! Lol sounded so funny when you said it! XD
Børk
40:35 a tank flying

good god, you completly forgot about you M1 and let it die without moving it away to the supermarket, you lost it at the hill above the tv station... i was shouting at the screen looking at it's health going down and you not looking for it ^^
Where can I find this game it's not on steam
Misread the title slightly.Soviet assault didn't take into account you were being assaulted. And not the other way around that you were the soviets assaulting.Got confused until 5 minutes in.
ohhhh now i didnt realize what pine valley was until I saw the map. at least I live farther north away from that haha so in this game im still alive
+Taylor Wayland Not sure Pine Valley's a real place anyway. Least, not in Washington.
+Orcaman15 yeah I'm not sure if it is. or it's probably not called pine valley
Saknar det här spelet så mycket
DX10 never really worked did it?
i did play a lot of this game in past/ Koerd whas the nickname. num 1 inf for years.
omfg I kill 4.32 units for 11.32 deaths because every time I make a successful push with my tanks I lose them to helis its so frustrating.
+LigerBans yeah Im not as great a commander as I am a soldier.
isnt the guy who had the phone call kakashi's voice actor
In unpatched version this mission is slightly different. For example during the last stand, Sawyer orders the battalion to retreat to the beach
Hello, do you know if people still play online ?? I'm looking to re-join...
There maybe some people online but last time I checked the servers were always empty
+Hector Reyes Yeah I tried a few days back and I can't even log in to the master server. I suppose it's well and truly dead.
Yea I loved play multiplayer but now no one plays
yeah official servers are dead since october-november last year
tootsie|troll®
Know if any user-made servers are up?
I can't find any and i keep getting chinese text on the launcher.

Pine Valley = Hill Valley
Why don't you try Order of War...
The Commies should have starved by now.
