    Great video! Trendy Wicker Park has been a residiental enclave since Chicago was chartered in 1837. Nort Milwauke Awenue is known for its vibrant nightclubs, restaurants and entertainment venues, with the Double Door, Subterranean and Davenport clubs being the most fashionable .Thanks for the tour of this area.Hugs from a resident.

    I wonder what that drive will be like now in the face of covid-19 . But it's still a cool ride❤❤❤👍👍👍

      Streets were pretty much empty earlier in the year when corona broke out. Now, you see more people out and about. Even when I drive on the Kennedy, I'm in bumber to bumber traffic every so often. It's not like it was before the pandemic, but definitely alot more traffic out.

      And now, one year later, Spring of 22, traffic is awful. I'm staying in Ukrainian Village just off Division. Not back to pre-pandemic levels like I joked about in my comment about your 14 minute drive, but pretty bad.
      I'm very familiar with the traffic patterns having lived in Chicago for many years, so I get around pretty well.
      But if you're a visitor to Chicago either learn the traffic patterns, times and direction, or give yourself a ton of extra time.
      It's been awhile but back in the day, Milwaukee Avenue at 9 on a Saturday night was a virtual parking lot.

    LOL 14 minute drive in Wicker Park?
    That's how long it takes to get from Ashland to Paulina on Milwaukee Ave.
    And then it's another 30 minutes just to get the North Avenue

    I do not miss that!!! The bitter cold, the tundra!

      lol. Yeah. It definitely can be brutal that's for sure. That's why there's a lot of snowbirds down south and out west in the winter. Come early Spring, they all come back to the city they love :)

      Nice. I'm in NYC right now and I wanted to know if Chicago always seems this non-dense like in the video. Does it pick up on the weekdays? I really want to move to Chicago within the next two years.

      @@jesseburkhart6850 I think if you compare any city with New York it'll always be non-dense. There was alot more people out the month around Christmas in Chicago's Gold Coast neighborhood. May I ask why u leavn the Big 🍎?

    • @jesseburkhart6850
      @jesseburkhart6850 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm actually originally from Grand Rapids, so I know what non dense truly means lol. I guess the main reasons I'm trying to leave NY is mainly for economic reasons. I can work the same job and make a tiny bit less in Chicago, but my dollar goes WAYYY further though. The housing prices in Chicago is unreal compared to NYC. I can't believe how big the spaces are for what I would pay, if I were living there. I'm also in love with the idea of living in a quieter, less dense version of NYC. That's what I envision Chicago as. Quiet, somewhat dense, and super clean as well.
