- In this video we tour the Lincoln Park neighborhood in Chicago to see three landmark districts - Mid-North, Arlington-Deming, & Arlington-Roslyn!
Our Lincoln Park neigbhorhood tour will include a mini neighborhood guide with the best things to do, dining, and shopping in this section of Lincoln Park.
Along the way we will see the historic architecture of the homes that make up these Chicago landmark districts.
These Lincoln Park Chicago Landmark Districts consist of homes built in the late 19th century & early 20th century. Some of the architectural styles include Italianate, Queen Anne, Gothic Revival, Richardsonian Romanesque, and Classic Revival.
Within these landmark districts you will find a mix of apartment buildings, free standing houses, and rowhouses.
There are so many things to do in this area of Lincoln Park like the Lincoln Park Zoo, Wrightwood 659 Museum, the Lakefront (Lake Michigan), Mid-North Park (one of the smallest Chicago parks at 0.13 acres), and the Lincoln Park Conservatory.
Amazing places to eat & drink (restaurants & bars) include Tayaki Chicago, Casatis, Sushi Mon, Fat Shallot, Gaslight, and Colectivo Coffee.

I worked in this neighborhood before the pandemic (near Clark and Armitage), and this video made me feel so nostalgic! It's truly one of the most beautiful pockets of the city.
I live near Arlington-Deming, and you absolutely nailed some of the best spots! Gaslight, Casati's, and Colectivo are some of my favorites, along with Frances, Del Seoul, Rangoli, and Maison Parisienne. Definitely looking forward to more neighborhood videos. I'd love to see a food tour around Lakeview!

I haven't seen this architecture too much, but it truly is fascinating. Perhaps it was in a movie or something as it does look familiar. So of these areas in the U.S. are incredibly unique and tranquil, something I didn't appreciate when I was younger.

When I thought of Chicago, I assumed high rise buildings but I am so glad to know there are areas with such beautiful architecture, putting it on top of my list to visit these areas. Your channel is one of my main sources for information on Chicago!! :)
Yea it's easy to forget about the vernacular architecture in most neighborhoods. Unfortunately, many older homes across the city have been demolished but there are plenty of historic districts where this is banned -- I'll have many more films about Chicago's historic architecture coming this year. When I attended college in the mid 2000’s in River North, I would make my way to Lincoln Park and walk around. Love the area! Question: is “Mellos” on Clark and Dickens now “Angry Octopus”?

If I had to guess, I would say South Loop since there was more space for new construction
