hello, if you want to create datapacks with a pretty syntax and nice little features i would suggest you move from mcpack-builder to sandstone which is a typescript library as well, or there is also JMC which is javascript-like syntax for datapacks.

Funny how I got a Chick-fil-a ad for this
now it would be amazing to see something like this somehow rigged up as an entity, given the ability to break it similar to minecarts or boats, and have them (somewhat-rarely) spawn naturally in deep dark biomes and ancient cities
make them attempt to attach to players, though not insta-killing them
maybe add a way to struggle free from it so you can get to it's base and attack it?
no drops or any loot/exp or anything, literally just a somewhat-flimsy hazard/natural feeding appendage for the sculk
yet another source of death, an additional reason there are no natural mob spawns in that desolate biome
perhaps make a small chance for one to spawn as part of a catalyst spreading? maybe make these weaker, or just don't make them too strong in the first place
i would love such as a mod, it would be beautiful

Does it only work with chikens? And if so is there a way for me to chamge it?
I only added chickens. You can change the entity selector from “type=chicken” to something else. The source code is in the description. There’s also a pre-built datapack bundled inside the world folder if you don’t want to run it yourself.
@@heledron Thank you! Would it be possible for me to remove “type=” altogether so it could work on any entity? And do you also know if there is a way that I could easily modify the data pack to extend the reach of the arm?
@@sedm8290 It'll probably break since the arm itself is composed of entities. You can try using a tag to select multiple entity types instead.
To increase the reach, check the source code for the `segments` array and add a few extra segments. I wouldn't recommend editing the datapack directly.

It’s a datapack. They are command files you can embed in the world instead of using command blocks.
IDK why, but i can't see the Tendril when i join in the world...
