Yooooo, I actually play Siege with low vision and I unironically love this. I'm not goggles level bad but my eye sight is still pretty blury and I've deffinately complained to my friends about the lack of accessability options but at the same time I get that they can't just have them there for everyone cos that just defeats the purpose.

Even though this video is for shits and giggles, this is like really revolutionary. Most FPS systems only have colorblind correction settings. But not legal blindness. I wear glasses for playing siege and my daily life, but I’ve been thinking about getting blue-light protective glasses for my insomnia. If I purchase those I cannot wear my glasses with them. This actually has medical applications and you may have pioneered a new type of handicap program. Good for you dude! 👍
The only problem is if you could toggle it on like colorblind mode then everyone would have access to that advantage and not just people with poor vision

nah man don't sell yourself short, a lot of people who think they only look good in glasses just need to gain some confidence. How confident you are directly impacts how well you can pull off a look after all. Maybe try a hat or a hazmat suit instead.

@@KillMooseKill Macros aren't really cheating, There's a difference in using a macro for exploits and other common uses, He was using AutoHotKey that is very popular script that register a click or key press in windows, He is only registering key press every 2 minutes, the system cant detect because its a common function that's rarely even pressed , Its not like he was spamming "LClick" combined with "C-RClick" 200x a seconds as an example that would trigger exploits/break the game. And that is obviously very noticable and in clearly in use for cheats.
Almost every common peripheral (Mouse, Keyboard) these days come with there own software with macro ability built in

perhaps games should adopt this approach but only available through a special customer service program for visually impaired individuals.
I'm thinking the developers could make this and fine tune it so it's flawless and you can distinguish between teammates and enemies. however, you would need customer support to email you a download code after you got approved for the program. you'd need to provide physical evidence from the state government such as a license saying "i'm visually impaired and here's how bad".
since there's different tiers of blindness, i'm sure they'd have different tiers of software to compensate and make it fair for them and everyone else in the lobby.
Or their own server so you can only play with and against others with the same problem
This just made me feel good somehow, but knowing that it's practical (fair) application is close to impossible brings me back down instantly.

Love the videos, I think this is neat, I used to work at a summer camp and we put on a blind camp. I’d teach them archery. A lot of the people I saw could benefit from a technology like this to enjoy all sorts of different games.

I’m legally blind and I can agree that it is frustrating when I’m at a disadvantage playing games. I wish companies would do more in the settings in their games, I know some games really do have good options built in but I feel like visually impaired gamers are underrepresented.
