Hi, when I trim the surfaces then offset, the original surface edge is now broken up. How do I fix this so I can blend?
you may need to rebuild your curve before you make them into surface.
@@PJChenJewelryDesign Thanks! I found a trick, when I offset the surf, I delete the original surface and offset the new one back and the curve will be fixed and matching.
How did you get the polyline to snap to the end of the curves automatically? I had to drag the points together
Make sure your OSNAP is on and END POINT is checked

Hey PJ! I have a question I would like to ask.. is it possible to add finishes in rhino before casting or is it needed to do by hand? I'm making a piece similar to the one above and want the matte finish on the casing as well.. I hope all is well and would really appreciate an answer. Best regards, Lasse from Norway.

Hi Lasse-Alexander, depends on the 3D printer quality. sometimes they have layering line on the wax or resin. it usually take some polishing effort to remove it. for the matte finish, you can have it done with sand blasting. However, you will need to polish it first then sand blasting. If the texture is not obvious like hair texture or bumpy texture. it usually go away on the polishing process.
