I have two Jotters. One like the one in the video made in France and a plastic one made in the United Kingdom. The plastic one cracked in 3 places at the tip without me dropping it and after only a short time of use. So from my experience, the ones made in the UK are not good. I've had this steel model for about 10 years and it's been perfect without any problems.
One important thing in the construction in on the inside. The USA model has a brass liner Vs the plastic liner on the french jotter. All metal. I still have USA refills that write great. It is heavier due to the brass insert.
I like the French one more. Push button feels better and in not dirty over time
