Setup and gear at the end of the video.
Pretty similar fight as EX1 but this time you should go with PATK reduction at least mid tier, in my case Aeris Full Metal Staff did the trick. Also a good amount of PDEF and MDEF is necessary.
In the sigil phase you will need at 1 diamond weapon or spehiroth Nameless sword since its only 2 ATB segments to cast.

Bahamut EX2 Phases-
1. Mega Flare
-Bahamut raises his MATK and decreases your MDEF. Use Uppershot with Tifa and Defaith with Aerith. Have Cloud use Sanctuary.
Bahamut immediately starts counting down to cast another Mega Flare. (Save ATB)
2. Countdown
-Have Tifa and Cloud deal damage while Aerith heals everyone. Use Tifa's Summersault Limit Break to interupt the countdown timer, and get past this phase before it reaches 3.
After the bar has been depleted, immediately have Cloud start using Sanctuary. Have Aerith do Defaith and Tifa use Uppercut.
3. Umbral Strikes
-Bahamut will lower the parties MDEF twice before he starts using Umbral Strikes. Have Tifa use her Limit Break to keep the DPS race going. Use Aerith to Heal the Umbral Strikes Target with Cure Materia. Focus Tifa and Cloud doing DPS.
Bahamut immediately starts counting down to cast another Mega Flare.
4. Countdown
-Have Tifa and Cloud deal damage, while Aerith heals everyone. Use Tifa's Summersault Limit Break to interupt the countdown timer. Also use Cloud's Limit Break to interupt the countdown timer, and get past this phase before it reaches 1.
After this phase, Bahamut will go into his Dive Bomb phase.
5. Dive Bomb
-Use Tifa's Limit Break to interupt the casting of Dive Bomb and keep the DPS going. Have Aerith use Barrier Materia on the target of Dive Bomb. Have Tifa use Debrave and Aerith use Heavenly Spike.
After this phase Bahamut will immediately go into Umbral Frenzy. Before he casts Umbral Frenzy, Have Tifa use Cure Materia on the Dive Bomb target. Have Aerith use Healing Wind to heal the Dive Bomb target. Have Aerith use Cure Materia to heal the Dive Bomb target.
6. Umbral Frenzy
-Have Tifa use Debrave on Bahamut and Aerith use Barrier on targeted character. Have Tifa cast Cure targeted character and have Aerith use Heavenly Spike.
After this phase Bahamut will immediately go into Diamond sigil Break phase. Before this phase starts, have Aerith cast cure on damaged ally.
7. Sigil Break Phase
-Use Tifa to break sigils. Try to have Aerith sneak in a cure during this phase. After sigil is broken, immediately have Aerith and Tifa cast Cure on damaged ally. Have Tifa use Summersault and Cloud use Ramuh to keep DPS going.
After this phase, Bahamut will use Umbral Strikes 1 time before he enters his countdown phase again.
8. Countdown to Mega Flare
-Use this last countdown to have Aerith heal. Try to make Cloud hold atb for Sanctuary. When Mega Flare is charging, have Cloud use Sanctuary, and have Aerith use Defaith and Tifa use Uppershot to lower Bahamut's MATK. -3 MATK and +2 MDEF should suffice.
After this phase, have Aerith use Healing Wind to heal everyone. Bahamut will use interuptible attacks such as Tail Flail & Claw Swipe & Spin Attack, so have Tifa try to interupt these with her Limit Break. Keep DPSing and keep Aerith healing. After doing these 3 attacks, Bahamut will use Umbral Strikes, so have Tifa try and interupt him. Once Bahamut's health bar goes into the red, it's a DPS race. Attempt to cancel as much of the countdown with Limit Breaks.

Pulling for Zidane's sword was the best choice so far. But dont worry cause more broken banners will come, even better than Zidane's im sure ;)

i remember when some people were saying zidane's sword will be useless since it's non-elemental lol . i have it 4* and have to wait for more cloud specific parts before i can upgrade it unfortunately . i barely managed to beat him yesterday tho so i'm satisfied with that . now i see the power of that physical ability pot tho , my tifa is the top dps but she sure as heck never hit him for 18k a pop
Having 55p on Physical ability potency is simply amazing, the damage increase is huge

Most people don't have that ob8 Zidane blade. Good job though..nice spread of debuffs to get the job done. Think I have everything, but all my characters at level 65 and ob3 Zidane blade. Think I've only seen people do it with Zidane blade. No other weapon.

@@Djrod95 no worries thanks great guide by the way still struggling on ex1 I find it is usually some of the sub weapons sometimes need to be up to lv 80 or weapons you just have not got around to leveling up for example Glenn etc one's some of us only use in the first soldier story.
They need to add fucking Zidane weapon to the damn shop. Im at OB5 and I know how big of a jump from 5 to 6 really is. Also add amarant claws and the chocobo staff
They literally said it read next time they are limited and will not appear unless they do another crossover.... Use parts
