A cracked leather upper is accented with burgundy coloured faux snakeskin overlays, and a quilted liner. Got mine yesterday. The midsole color could’ve been a little more muted, but otherwise this is how a premium Jordan 1 should be done. Another banger from James Whitner.
I've noticed that color if the midsole looks lighter under certain lights
I feel confident saying I’m one of your biggest fans. I’ve been watching you for years. I love your content. If I could make one small request or suggestion, I would love to see what your outfits look like with the shoes. I don’t know if it would be possible for you to at least just have a photo full length of what you are wearing. I can’t dress to save my life and so I would love to have some outfit inspiration from you. I love the format you have so I completely understand if you decide not to do this. I'd love to see this as well. Most photos and videos you can find online show the feet and lower half of the pants rolled up. When I try to pull this off at home I don't feel like it looks right. Would love to see some full fits!
Usually when you bring up the SOTY, it’s between two different brands/collaborators. A Ma Maniére has stood head and shoulders over all of the competition this year. Great storytelling with the 1s/ 3s & there’s no doubt in my mind both of those will land on my Top 10 for the year.🔥

Unbelievably blessed to have hit on these and the 3s for retail. I'm definitely biased but the 3s are my SOTY and these are definitely in my top 10. Perfectly executed collabs that I'll be wearing regularly for a very very long time

I'm very happy with the shoes. I was fortunate enough to get them on the sneakers draw for the first time.
These are nice but the AJ3 looks way much nicer imo. I love how they managed to make another jordan more desirable than the AJ1

The funny thing is everyone who passed on the court purple jordan 1s that released earlier this year are extremely hyped on these because they are a collab they have exactly the same colourblocking with minor differences. Shows you what power a collab has nowadays lmao

Court purples are so fire I can't believe they're so slept on. I love that metallic pack colorblocking. These are incredible too. Somehow I was able to hit on these but not the court purples lmao

Never owned a AJ1 before but my TTS for Nike is 9.5. These feel really snug on fit and was wondering if these are standard? Want more pairs but want to buy a more true fit pair
I’m curious what that cracked leather would look like after some wear. I don’t care about creases and all, it’s just that certain shoes like most Jordan 11’s look their best brand new, and go downhill from there. Others gain a certain charm from their used look. I wonder which one this is, or will be.

Hi I have amm1s but I have this issue. left side of my left pair is pink. half of the midsole is pink. and over all are vintage. anyone has this defect?

I keep hearing about the cracked leather material falling off like dandruff flakes. What does that mean for the shoe, long term? If you wear them enough over time,are they eventually going to look like a horse that lost all it’s hair?

One thing I will say is I love the shape of this Jordan 1. It’s not like the OG 85 high cut but it just has the right amount of “rounded” and “straight” edges in the silhouette. The 85 shape looks a little bit too long for my tastes. As always, great review. Great shoe shown by one of the best sneaker reviewers on YT.

I'm not sure if this is the AJ1 of the year 🤔 But I like these more then the Sylvesters The AJ1 Travis Scott OG. The ROTY any other Brown AJ1 I'm forgetting? And I like them more then the AMM 3. And this isn't speciale sneaker kind of plain but I might regret not buying it down the road when the resell prizes are 1000+

I just received my pair from eBay (passed authentication) and when I tried them in they’re inexplicably tight in the toe box area. 11. 5 is my TTS in Jordan 1s, but these feel significantly tighter than any other pair of 1s i’ve had. Anyone else experience this with their pair of AMMs?

I think it’s cracked leather instead of snake skin but I’m interested to see how those parts age with wear on the shoe.

A bit sad the snakeskin is just a print :/ especially when they retailed for 200.
I disagree with the idea that the fit is like every other AJ1, I think the AMM 1s are more roomy than other 1s due to the quilted liner. I’m not saying you need to go up half a size but the AMM 1s feel broken in straight out the box.
I agree, in my opinion I wish I woulda gone a half size down. The extra room makes my 8.5 feel like a 9

Yeah the quality of the leather is unusual but it’s very hard to argue it’s POOR quality. It’s cracked leather that’s just how it is, plus the creasing so far is like… nonexistent. And they just feel premium with the silky interior lining. Such a stellar pair of shoes. I want to say I like them more than the 3s purely visually if I’m being honest, BUT still need to get the 3s in hand and I might change my mind because they still look amazing too.
I have both and I think the 1's are slightly better it's a more timeless design

In my opinion, these will age better than those overly tumbled aj1s. When the toe box creases on those, they look terrible and gross.
I hit on the in-store raffle at social status. With quality, materials and craftsmanship, it’s easily a top 10 sneaker of the year. Not as nice as the 3s tho.
I’m not feeling these at all. The story & meaning behind it is cool & all, but the colorway is just not it for me. I don’t really stray far from black, red, white. Some blue. So these were DOA for me. I’m not one to put lots of importance on storytelling when it comes to sneakers. If the color blocking is cool (to me), then I’ll buy it.

I like the 3s a lot, although their lack of availability disqualifies them from the Shoe of the year conversation if you ask me, but I don't like these at all.
