Love this so much, I put birds in everything I do, I have 4 pet birds, and used to raise parrots of many kinds, one pair is on 4 eggs right now..so maybe chicks soon! so I adore birds always..and this cover is so adorable !! I love all of it!! Thanks for sharing!

I love how this turned out, I made one of these when Suzy first did hers and I loved it , it was very well loved and I think I'm going to do another as youve inspired Me, I tore my inside cover to make a pocket and added lace around it, I think this time I will make mine with your boho birds collection as the birds showing through I think will be lovely, tfs xxxx

I so need a soft comforting squishy journal cover right about now!! Hmmm sewing the signatures in, gonna try that!
This turned out so yummy!! Crispy, crunchy, scrumptious!! Sounds like I’m describing food. Lol. Or a snack! I love all the ephemera you put in it. That was really cool to use Gold paint (can’t remember, did you say watercolors) with a stencil and then put the stencil back and draw around it with a sharp, black pen. Thanks for sharing this cute, scrunchy, little Journal!♥️♥️♥️

Baby girl! How very squishy she is, and noisy t'boot! She's simply lovely and you should be a proud mama. I made a small, squishy, noisy baby too, three sigs like yours, but I used an Amazon padded mailer to provide the noisy squish. Never would it have occurred to me to use pattern paper. @@lynnsjourney8198 I did! Very much so! I actually covered the inside and outside of the "cover" - the squishy stuff - with two different pieces of fabric after I cut and covered the edges of the mailer with paper tape I colored black (it's a black and gold journal), otherwise the guts of the mailer would've fallen out and been really visible. Does that make sense?

SQUISHY!!! Ooh crunchy too 😁.oh that mauve lace is super pretty 😍 good not to hide it. thin fleece is good for squish. I bought some cheap fleece blankets in a sale. I've also seen people trap cereal bag in between for extra crinkle sound. Oh you were brave, well done👏.she looks and sounds gorgeous 😍 👂 👂👂😍😍. My favourite is the gold tree with the lace and butterfly tag opposite. My sewing patterns are brown but with blue markings, not as nice. I saw you have the squishy cover tutorial on collage club too 😁 Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖

I love the sound it makes and the finished journal is gorgeous! I use sewing pattern tissue as accents but I don't know if I would be brave enough to use them as a cover. After sewing for many years I know they will tear easily. That being said, I know I'll have to try this in the near future just for me!
So romantically beautiful 💗 I worry the tissue will break down soon but I m thinking your ok with that. 🙅♀️ the cutting up of the doilie was a bit hard to take like the other lady mentioned. I have a beautiful one with colour pansies around the edge from my grandmother. I admired it as a child. Then in the 70s or 80s they were considered so tacky, old fashioned to decorate. Now 30yrs later from then they have a new life in junk journals. 🥰 I will possibly use it But! ...hum I seem to have a lump in my heart. Some black hand stitches in black thread on that bottom lace piece might be nice. The sewing tissue ( not so old but one that I've made) I've cut in 3/4" strips that I plan to gather up like a ruffle and glue around the edge of a card! Tfs 💖🇨🇦

I love the look and sound of this, but I'm afraid it will quickly tear. Maybe if you had tried parchment paper instead of sewing pattern tissue paper. I just think if it gets damp, it will fall apart, if you set it down on a surface that is even slightly sticky, it will be destroyed. I hate to think of all the hard work, time, supplies and love you put into it, not to have it stand up. I think, if you do it again, maybe put the two outer sheets (inside and outside cover pieces) through a laminator. That way you keep the translucent quality, the inside crinkle layers and squishiness, but have a product that is much more durable.
