Weatherpack connectors are still great connectors and fairly inexpensive. Just a little bulkier than Deutsch and take a little more time to assemble. I have used Weatherpack for years and if you have the tool that makes both crimps at the same time, they are fairly quick to assemble. I am moving now to Deutsch as I much prefer solid barrel contacts and Deutsch is about the only non-milspec connector that uses the solid barrel contacts.
But what do you replace the current sensing, limiter relays with for the rear doors? What's your modern equivalent. Thanks for the videos. I'm in the midst of replacing the hydraulics with linear actuators on a parts '63.....just for fun to see if it's possible (I'm retired early, and a little bored at times).
I'm trying to run wire through a factory connector that use Aptiv terminals. The terminals have part numbers, but apparently aren't popular enough to stock. The terminals are a DSQ style but DCS-2s will also fit. Do you have any idea where to find these aftermarket equivalents?
It is risky to assess the quality of a connector by pure visual inspection. The biggest issue I have seen with plastic products from China is that they don’t have the UV protection of the real McCoy parts or the temperature tolerance. They look identical on day 1, but put them out in the sun and weather for a couple of years and they will look vastly different. The Chinese parts will fade and get brittle long before the real name brand parts. If you are building race cars, this doesn’t matter as the life of the car is only a year or two. If you are using them on a street vehicle that may see 10+ years of service, the difference is dramatic.
I have a complete powertrain out of a 1963 lincoln continental if you were interested as I have no real use for it anymore and just don't want to scrap it. Original 430 with auto and several other parts as I'm coyote swapping it if you are interested or know someone who is.

Funny, I went down that rabbit hole about 10 yrs ago. The main issue is that they're slow.

Which tools do you use to make the Crimp on the wire to the connector before inserting them into the new type connectors.
Do you happen to still restore Lincoln’s or know someone who does?
Over $1K in connectors terminals and seals sitting on that table.
$1500 if you include the crimp tool for each brand.
Perhaps you need some custom rubber parts?
Cool thx
Good morning how can you be contacted for work? Have a 66 lincoln that’s needing some love
