This is very relative, it depends... You never go wrong if you change the factory dried paste to the new one and also cleaning out the heatsink and the fans from the dust.
friend, how is your experience with Kryonaut so far? I want to replace my thermal paste, because my PS4 Pro looks like an airplane! thanks! (Sorry for the bad English)
@@ZephyrDavid thank you very much for the answer, my friend! and thank you very much for the video. I will use your video as a guide when my thermal paste is with me.
@@ZephyrDavid friend, just one more question: how long do you think you need to apply the thermal paste again? I saw in some places that with Kryonaut it lasts a few months. but I don’t know if it’s true.
@@ewertonbarbosa1186 Thermal paste eventually get dry out. So every once a year or twice a year might be a good solution to prevent the overheating/high fan noise.
How long this thermal paste will last Im about to buy a ps4 pro with 72xxx series but it has this too hot error im getting it for cheap should i go on with my purchase? I dont want to change thermal paste every month ? Please help
So I’ve done this to a few PS4’s and worked like a charm. Did one yesterday and now the control won’t connect. Checked the antenna, tried different cables, replaced the antenna from my old console and still nothing. Any ideas?
I put exactly the same today, kryonaut.Ultra high performance thermal grease. In ps4 slim i hope be ok ,what about size for thermal pads? What mm?,i think 1.5
@@ZephyrDavid Thank you! Yours was the best PS4 Pro disassembly I found. I followed your video as best I could, even though my model is a bit different inside (no black screws, top shield different). But unfortunately I discovered something that NO video ever showed... where the power supply connects to the motherboard, it is not held on very well and the plug is tight. I only noticed during re-assembly that I had pulled the connector completely off the motherboard! A friend says he's going to attempt to solder the wires directly, but I don't hold out much hope.
@@thomasdarby6084 I happy to help you, but I also sad your injury on the motherboard. It was might be one of the hardest part in the all process. I try to show how to disconnect the psu correctly as possible.
@@ZephyrDavid Right, thank you. You DID show it correctly. But no video-- not any one's-- say how delicate that part is, that perhaps i should use some implement to hold the socket while removing the plug. Sony is actually to blame for making such a weak part! Oh well. I guess I'll have to invest my social Security bucks on a replacement MoBo. Lol! Hell being old, and a gamer too!

No thermal pads?
How many months did it take before it started becoming loud again? Hope you reply, I'm planning on using the same paste

@Stefan Vujadinović I'll give it a look. Thanks!

The Kryonaut thermal paste is one of the best on the market. If you repaste your ps4 pro the thermals will be improved very well.

Good for a fat ps4 too.
Are you sure the ps4 is perfect for fat and slim
How was it? I am looking to do the same thing
I heard about the grizzly kryonaut. They said it can damage the surface of metal in contact with it.
no wonder why the name cry or not.
I never heard that theory.
False is liquid metal what can damage the copper
IC Diamond in the comments slandering the competition lol
You talked about Grizzly Conductnout the liquid metal paste.
