I am so happy to hear a plastic surgeon say “asymmetry is normal,” because it has bothered me since I was a child, and even worse after I read that people who are left-handed are much more prone to asymmetrical face and body. Looking at myself, I believe that is true. As I will be 50 next month, I have earned enough to afford plastic surgeries, yet exactly because I will be 50, I think to myself why start now? I love how Tom has maintained symmetry with his ears - one on either side of his head. Over the years, it must have been tempting for him to experiment and to have moved his ears onto his nose, or above his eyes. But Tom has consistently resisted such trends and maintained a standard "2-either-side" facial formation. That's classic and understated Cruise for you.

I am sure that Tom Cruise has undergone all the enhancements Dr Gary has listed, after all, he has a trained eye to spot these things. What I am most impressed about is how Dr Gary describes the areas of the face, the natural changes due to aging, the enhancements, why he thinks it is enhanced the reasons why someone would get them done. No emotion, no drama, purely clinical. So good!
I also think, as an actor, Tom has done a pretty good job of keeping all his surgeries and enhancements low key so they do not detract from his distinctive face. For example, he could have 'fixed' his nose, made the tip less bulbous and more asymmetrical - but then he wouldn't be so recognizable and he didn't do anything like that. Also he has taken great care of his skin!

I am so happy that I found this channel. This doctor explains everything in a way that the average person can understand it. I like that he explains what muscles are involved. For example, in the neck. I would go to a plastic surgeon like Dr. Gary. I have had plastic surgery, but it was for breast reconstruction after breast cancer. I had the first set of implants removed because they were the ones that were recalled and caused a different type of cancer, plus one of mine ruptured so now I’m on my second set of implants, hoping nothing goes wrong with these ones. Anyway, I am very interested in the Ptosis of the eye surgery. my right eye is closing , I see my ophthalmologist for Botox injection above the eyebrow. I don’t know if I’m going to surgery in the future. Sorry this is so long😊

I don't think he's had lip filler. He appears to have had his teeth capped and that could be what's giving the affect of fuller lips, but it's subtle; too subtle to be lip filler. I'd like to add that during allergy season my face completely changes and I look like I've aged 10 years, with wrinkling around the eyes and puffiness in the face in general. Not everything means someone has had work done.

I don't generally watch Tom Cruise movies but last night I actually watched one (probably why TH-cam suggested this video to me today, haha). While watching it, I couldn't help but notice that Tom Cruise and I have a very similar nose. I've spent years hating my nose and wanting a nose job. But all of a sudden it was like, "damn... I have a Tom Cruise nose." (I'm a woman) While his nose might not be considered the standard of beauty for females, it did make me laugh to realize I still have the nose of a famous and successful Hollywood star. Maybe I should just keep my nose after all :)

Dr Gary - your uploads are always fun insightful and educational . If you see this comment - Cruise always had a tooth gap and damage on his upper
incisor teeth . Notice his left incisor drops in the exact MIDDLE of this
smile line - you cannot unsee it once you know - but of all the Hollywood stars - cruise has retained his youth
at 60+ including his weight . He’s amazingly disciplined in all areas of his life including self care

Wasn’t he injured in a film recently? If he was on Prednisone for inflammation- a side effect is “moon face,” where your face swells like that. It goes away when you slowly decrease the medication for inflammation.

I think that in 2021 his face looks like mine did when I had to take prednisone for a thyroiditis. I gained 20 pounds within 3 weeks, and my face looked like that. After I was done with treatment it took about 18 months to get back to my normal weight which is at around 128 pounds. It just happened naturally without me going on any kind of weight loss diet. No sane person would use fat transfer or fillers to look like that after.

I was having a receding hair line ... then one day I stopped using shampoo (4 years ago) I am regaining my hair. I rinse my hair 3 times in the shower. I was my hair once every 3-4 month. This way, the oils on my head aren't washed away blocking the follicles. Also, the oils make my hair look more natural and lustrous. I think shampoo leads to baldness...
