    I remember in the late 70’s and early 80’s the 1066’s were everywhere. Seems like everyone was running them. A few turbo’s but mostly without.

      I buy as many as I can to save them.

    That's an Americon icon,we ran red on my families farm and still do.We had 5 1066's in the 70's they were the main horse.Paid for 3 farms with them.

    It makes you wonder why someone would just give up on this still valuable tractor.

      This was removed from an operation due to a leaky turbo. Much like many of the equipment I come across that needs a little work to get going it broke down for something and the intention was to get back to it but farming is taxing and sometimes you just can’t get to it all.

      @@Wanous-hv7zoI’m sorry if you have had a bad experience but I own several and can work them for as long and hard as I need without having extreme issues. Thanks for watching and maybe you will comment on what classic tractor you prefer so I can keep an eye out for one to test it out.

    Great powerful machine used one for many years helping a few ladies farm til the farm lady wrecked it into a tree then a old brick chicken coup then a crossed the barn yard at top speed into a 24 inch diameter tree.and that my friends will end a 1066. Well at least break the rad mounts and send the rad into the fan

      Yes they are we use these mostly on the ranch and custom bailing. I hate to hear one was destroyed but hope the lady was ok. Thanks for watching and I hope you check in for more content like this coming up.

    Did you have any oil pressure when it started (suppose the gauge don't work)? I kind of like the fuel tank location. Here in central North Dakota it gets cold and we have run number 2 fuel all winter in minus 20 to 30 weather. We run some power service and put some heavy cardboard on the sides of the engine. They keep the filters and the bottom of the fuel take warm enough so the fuel don't jell up from the cold. Might even cover part or all of the radiator.

    • @rdbrand1214
      @rdbrand1214  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We didn’t run it long enough to check oil pressure but when parts come in I will do a video of the parts installation and we can check the oil pressure also as we check the tractor over more. Stay tuned
