It's cool to show how to complete the task properly. You're on the right track
Thank you sir
this guy is an idiot
Can someone please tell me what causes that to happen
On a non turbo diesel it’s usually the governor being hung open as in my tractors case and in a turbo it can be the governor like mine or if the turbo begins leaking oil it can feed the engine through the turbo causing it to need the air blocked to kill it where I was just able to kill the fuel.
What's the danger with a runaway, will it send engine parts flying at u or something. Or explode like a bomb.
It can do both as the rpm’s go above what the engine can handle it can shoot parts long distances with force and also cause flames with it.
Well she started all wright man 😂😂😂😂😂 she just loved that teether ha ha, it'll be fine nice humm out of it the governor is probably stuck open in the top of the injector pump or the spring is in the wrong holes good show though ha ha👍
I’m figuring it’s the governor since it’s been sitting since the last owner passed away.
You live life kind of risky, when you start a tractor like that! If that tranny would have some shift linkage or internal wear that engine would not have even grunted as it went over your body! Would be a pretty good idea to have more than one way to shut it down! After working at a dealership and hearing of a customer jumping at the starter and then getting run over by tractor and disc! Those things tend to make you think about how you approach things! When I work at the dealer if I seen a jumpered clutch safety switch it got replaced! Never had a upset customer for doing it!
Yes I do and no it wouldn’t have. Glad I didn’t have a disc hooked to it. Lol thanks for the advice
She got up to temp quick, lol
Yes she did… lol
How many rpm was that? Crazy
Just about all of them I think…
Why the hell did you pick up the camera? We had a perfect view.
Call it a brain glitch part of me said get the camera to get a close up and the other realized that it was dangerous and I needed to hurry. It happens lol
Shut off air Intake with a rag of plastic it’s a lot quicker
I need to pull the intake pipe loose from now on.
Old fire engines can be quite a bargain with excellent care and low miles. Removal of the pump can be a challenge as it spans the width of the chassis. It may be a bronze casting. I drove several like it back in the day.
Thanks for the info I will make sure I take extra care. It has a ton of brass that I can see already.
You need to remove the air on a runaway diesel, I always keep a board handy to snuff it out
I agree but I figured since it’s not a turbo it wouldn’t be a big deal until the governor stuck and the fuel pepcock was extremely hard to turn off.
She was just getting wormed up
Definitely worked lol
So that's why that old farm truck i bought burned down...lmao
Possibly lol
that sounded smooth af even while running away, and sounded like the injection pump freed up in the end because it shut down.
I was able to shut off the fuel luckily. The pump is going to be sent off soon for a rebuild.
Why did you remove the camera? I would have rather seen the engine, than the ground.😂😂
It was a oh $h!t moment lol i wanted to get close up to it while i turned off the fuel but realized it wasn’t the best place and time to be messing with a camera. So I’ll have to fix that next time… lol
self cleaning mode😂
It did the job…
She is a runner!
A bit more than I was expecting her to though… lol
Did not sound like the pepcock closed for a second
It had me second guessing so I put a little extra twist on it to make sure. Lol
Sounded amazing, well past 2750 rpm.... weeellll past that it sounded like! Glad a valve didnt stick and have some contact with piston haha! It ought to be loosend up now though!
I’ll bet she sings when I get the injection pump rebuilt.
Toilet paper moment lol 😊
It sure made me nervous
🙂
I like the truck
It is a nice truck
❤ so beautiful 😍
Yes he is
Just found your channel, bought a few things from them myself, also SouthWest auctions in Howe Tx. , good find on the 210.
Nice to meet you I have heard of southwest but never have purchased. I’ll check them out thanks.
Just needs a sled and fat tires😊
Sure sounded like that’s what it wanted…
That’ll clear any oil from the cylinders! Quick too! 🤪🤪
I bet it’s all real lubed and clear of any rust rings now.. lol
Motor sounded good tho didn’t explode into flames lol
I’m glad about that… lol
Shit he gets the phone AND GOES BACK what a boss🤣
Hey don’t want to miss any of the close up stuff… lol
M100's are notorious for that. If been sitting.. any one that knows em. Should have had the intake tube off. Before. Even attempting ... w a cover to snuff it out. 400 series motors are pretty darn tough.
First out of a dozen to do this to me. I’ll know next time to make sure I’m prepared to get it.
It sounded pretty good once it started
Yes it did… I’m glad
That's the testament of the a good IH engine. When I grew up they would take the 1066 and just turn up the fuel for tractor pulling and then turn back down and go to the field.
I love em for sure
I own a 1466, it’s in mint condition, like it just came off the assembly line
Always carry a CO2 fire extinguisher onboard any turbo diesel vehicle that way if it runs away you can dump the CO2 extinguisher in the air intake.
Good advice thank you
No its not
Just block intake with plywood 😊
Holy ish man! Can't believe you stayed around it that long! I'd have to act like the tractor and runaway!
I worried about it for sure but the fuel pepcock wasn’t turning fast enough. If the sound of the engine had changed at all I was ready to meep meep on out for sure.
@@rdbrand1214 On a good note the motor sounded healthy tho! That thump sure went away
She was trying to be a john deere😂
lol clearly
No, she was trying to be a Detroit 2 stroke!
Got lucky on that one
Yes I did
Oh no
Yes sir but I’ll get it fixed… 😅
Absolutely gorgeous.
Thank you
😊 How cute 😍
Yes sir thank you.. just getting the equipment ready for the start of the busy season.
Good to see you hard at work. I hope you’re doing ok.
Glad to see you're still kicking.
