Spike. "I love the kind of woman who can kick my ass." tell me, where in real life can you actually use such a line when your getting your ass handed to you by a woman and yet still manage to stay cool?
Three things you never do to the Bebop 1.) Call Jet's ship a "piece of crap" 2.) Remark that Faye is older than she looks and 3.) Don't ever call Spike "Vicious"...cause YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT VICIOUS IS!
hollin220 When a girl is literally trying to bash your face against the wall but you are so fucking chill and confident that you can still think of pick up lines that fit the situation. This one and the scene where he burns a thug with hot coffee are his signature scenes in cowboy bebop for me.
The choreography, the dialogue, the pacing- everything about this scene is just perfect. It’s definitely one of my favorite animated scenes of all time.
If you want similar animation I believe sunrise had the same animation team working on Gundam: The 08th MS Team. Excellent show if you're into mecha plus the 90s animations
Let's be real here. I laughed my ass off when Cho was Sulu and there had to be a fight. Then, they gave him a katana and my eyes rolled so hard that I was blind for the duration of the fight, so I'm just going to assume that it was mediocre at best.
Me either! No current person in Hollywood can capture all that makes Spike, SPIKE! Not Keanu, not Cho, no one I can think of. The Spike check list: □ Tall □ Playful □ Laidback demeanor □ Fluid fighting style I feel like casting Spike should be easy considering that Spike was based off of Yūsaku Matsuda in Detective Story. Hollywood just have to broaden their search and pick a new face with talent. Do like the fact that the tried to stick with an Asian main character but Cho ain't it.
@@Angel-nf4nt Well, Spike doesn’t have to be played by an Asian actor. The name Spike Spiegel itself implies a Jewish ethnicity so essentially, anyone with charisma and fighting experience can play the character just enough. Reeves is honestly the most accurate choice at the moment; he has real life martial arts training and is super likable and charming in his own way already, all he lacks is Spike’s more outward, charismatic nature and that he looks a bit too old now sadly.
I love supernatural & fantasy thrown into my Anime. The problem these days is that most anime boast shiny plastic characters with an overuse of artificial character shading, all combined with low frame rates/less animation. i might as well be reading a fucking comic for crying out loud. :P
The new generation of telent is lacking indeedy' Even the old 90's sailor moon eclipses Sailor Moon crystal's look....the older animation and art style are just timeless. It feels alive, rather than the plastic flash-animation based look of the new.
I LOVE this anime's fight scenes. So technical and realistic. You can see every movement. Unlike most other anime where every fight scene is just a screen full of slashing, rushing wind, and power-up auras. DBZ, Naruto, Bleach, etc. take notes. But now here's a premise. Imagine an anime with the mental chess-like play-by-play of Death Note combined with the leverage and precision of the action scenes in Cowboy Bebop. Why can't something like that exist?
Fate/Zero is the closest thing I can think of, it's very mature, and it has a lot of mind games in the same way that Death note or Code geass had, and it has incredibly well choreographed action sequences. It also looks fantastic, their budget must have been made of diamonds or something.
The fights in Black Lagoon are pretty damn realistic (with the exception of a couple of moments, anyone who's watched the second series knows which scene I mean in particular). Main protagonists get shot more than once, all the guns are accurate, though I have to wonder where Revvy's keeping her spare mags for her Berretas...
Eh, i'd still take the lightening fast, out of this world kentic and bad ass fight choreography from DBZ over this any day. I guess I'm just not interested in Anime trying to imitate real life. I can appreciate it, and yes it's visually/technically impressive but it just doesn't impress or interest me anywhere near on the level of the later DBZ episodes. If they fought like this in DBZ i'd be crying in my sleep.
@@gamerxakaahmedrandiradhaan7191 hated the last fight, cuz it was just a mess of beams. The fight between broly and vegeta and goku and vegeta were easily some of the best in the series though.

E. A. Deasar You're absolutely right. In fact, there's a scene in the anime where Spike is teaching a guy (can't remember the name, it's been a long time since I've watched the anime) how to fight using his style. One of the things Spike said was "be like water", which is something that was originally said by Bruce Lee.
THE SUN IS BURNING WHITE PEOPLE OFF THE PLANET LOL "masterpiece" gr8 b8 m8 I r8te 8/8. The only thing decent about the show is the action and music(which is not enough to make a show great) , everything else you mentioned is almost non-existent.
I love how in the movie and anime-series (NOT THE SHITTY LIVE ACTION) both the animation and the music are paired together to make a more influencing battle between characters to give it the exciting feeling of watching spike, fae or jet kick some ass. Mostly spike because he’s my all time favourite anime character.
+Sanker Narayanan Samurai Champloo (naturally), Mushishi, Baccano, Gungrave, Barakamon, Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal, Mononoke, Usagi Drop, Time of Eve, One Punch Man, Haikyuu. Depends on how cool you are, can someone be as cool as Spike?
Reminds me of when my parents were fighting over custody over me but a lot more exciting and a lot less depressing
damn bro, im one year late, but u good?
😂
Relatable
They both lost...
were your parents as hot as spike and electra though?
One extra thing I love about Bebop is how the jazz meshes with the action scenes, emphasizing the improvisation of each of the characters.
The music genre Jazz will work on anything. It's pretty much its reason for existing.
Three things you never do to the Bebop
1.) Call Jet's ship a "piece of crap"
2.) Remark that Faye is older than she looks
and
3.) Don't ever call Spike "Vicious"...cause YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT VICIOUS IS!
4. Fight Eds dad
gg
Don’t mention Julia
Jet's ship is a piece of crap..
I made a lovely storie with cowboybebop footage
0:04 I knew he will blew his cover. You supposed to sweep it from the top like Patrick.
Not like Patrick. 😭😭😭😭
"I always like a girl who can kick my ass."
Ain't that the truth Spike. Nothing sexier.
hollin220 When a girl is literally trying to bash your face against the wall but you are so fucking chill and confident that you can still think of pick up lines that fit the situation.
This one and the scene where he burns a thug with hot coffee are his signature scenes in cowboy bebop for me.
That profile pic is golden bro
spike has the soul of a chilled out jazz loving black dude. he's the perfect mc for this show
1:39 okay, that was genius...
@ChronicScrub That's Spike for ya
Fucking amature
I mean, its a bright red object in the middle of a sad, empty hallway. Surely it must have caught his eye.
@@ultrawankerobliterator420 Haven't you guys seen Jackie Chan movies's
Not really
The choreography, the dialogue, the pacing- everything about this scene is just perfect. It’s definitely one of my favorite animated scenes of all time.
Damn, Spike is smooth
Man this guys got class flirting with the girl trying to kill him
That's our boy Spike
One look at this glorious animation and there should be no questions left why a lot of people dislike 3D anime.
The Harlequin I’ve never seen a 3D anime in my life
Qwerty keep it that way.
Kinda weird, man.
A 3D anime can be good true Animd watchers like it whether its 3D nor 2D unless low budget
Does help that it's got movie funding
They have like a “sly cooper-Carmelita fox” relationship vibe
Glad someone knows about sly cooper
Smh the fact that we haven’t gotten a sly game in 8 years is disappointing
@@buhnana6117 with all these platformers being revived, I really hope Sly and Jak get to have a comeback

@Pk Memez Here i come - and thank you now!
@Pk Memez thank you ^^
1990s cel animation in Anime can never be paralleled. Cowboy Bebop feels like watching a live action series, with the fluid, realistic animation.
If you want similar animation I believe sunrise had the same animation team working on Gundam: The 08th MS Team. Excellent show if you're into mecha plus the 90s animations
It's the movie, it's all about the bebop.....simple
Cameron Parker i remember watching this scene while watching the movie and i think i forgot to breathe back then xD
What about the bobep?
bobep? i thought it was beep boop.
lol he's a janitor tho???
Kristian dela Cruz beep beep boo beep
"love a woman who can kick my ass" rofl
Too bad Elektra can't kick Spike's ass.
one of the best things about this anime is the music
I love the kind of woman that will actually just kill me...
Beat me to it. Well done.
To far lol
2:21 when you have 5 stars in gta
Takes more stars than that to bust Spike Spiegel :P
Didn't see tat coming
Calling bullshit, there is no Jazz Music in GTA
And this just got me interested in Cowboy Bebop
It has a Bruce Lee tone with the choreography of Jackie Chan!!

@@randychampion2137 it's not an episode, it's Cowboy Bebep the Movie.
Lil Diabeetus where can I find this movie

Spider59er Desperate times my friend
I just can't imagine John Cho doing any of this.
The Spike check list:
□ Tall
□ Playful
□ Laidback demeanor
□ Fluid fighting style
I feel like casting Spike should be easy considering that Spike was based off of Yūsaku Matsuda in Detective Story. Hollywood just have to broaden their search and pick a new face with talent. Do like the fact that the tried to stick with an Asian main character but Cho ain't it.
Zeno same
@@Angel-nf4nt Well, Spike doesn’t have to be played by an Asian actor.
@@Angel-nf4nt Actually (as far as I know) none of the Bebop cast are Japanese. Faye (iirc) is supposed to be from Sigpore but thats it
1:28 That “EN GUARD!” always gets me
“I love the type of woman that can kick my ass.”
put that on my tombstone please
i love how the fighting scene is so realistic...these days the anime is kinda...supernatural based idk..anyways love this anime
I love supernatural & fantasy thrown into my Anime. The problem these days is that most anime boast shiny plastic characters with an overuse of artificial character shading, all combined with low frame rates/less animation. i might as well be reading a fucking comic for crying out loud. :P
***** my point there lol that's why i like reading manga more these days :)
The fighting isn't real at all. But it is still more realistic and practical than 99% of anime.
I agrre, most of the anime rigth niw were seemed entirely drawn and oclored in a computer, photoshopped much.
Main protagonists get shot more than once, all the guns are accurate, though I have to wonder where Revvy's keeping her spare mags for her Berretas...
take a look at Afro Samurai, AMAZING fights and the samurai has Samuel L. Jackson voice :P
Moribito fight scenes are really realistic all real martial arts
spike spiegel has the ability to destroy any
mans heterosexuality
This entire scene here alone shits on every Dragon Ball Super episode.

Spike Spiegel - probably the coolest guy in the history of anime :)
When main characters used to be cool and not helpless dorks that someone has to constantly defend.

shonen anime have some alpha males basically the whole jojo bizarre series deku from mha asta from black clover one punch man saitama ur talkin about harems and generalizing a whole generation of anime
And of course goblin slayer

The animation is simply amazing. This movie still holds up today.
Who knew janitors were good at fighting? Lol
Best representation of Jeet Kune Do I’ve ever seen in an anime.
Ahhh...
2 years since I finished this masterpiece
I still remember it vividly.
I love how he look so much like bruce lee when he fight. with that smug face and no annoying "WHATCHA" whenever he hit someone.
Iirc, Spikes fighting style is based on Jeet Kune Do, so that would make sense; given that Bruce Lee invented that style.
E. A. Deasar You're absolutely right.
In fact, there's a scene in the anime where Spike is teaching a guy (can't remember the name, it's been a long time since I've watched the anime) how to fight using his style. One of the things Spike said was "be like water", which is something that was originally said by Bruce Lee.
JoroJojoro Rocco was the name.
MyRennae Yeah, that's it. Thanks for reminding me.
This fight scene is based on a bruce lee movie, it is no coincidence
Steve blums voice is legendary

cowboy Bebop is the perfect blend of drama, romance, action, and comedy. Whether its your first or latest, the anime is a masterpiece.
Mostly spike because he’s my all time favourite anime character.
its from the movie for people who saw the show and dont remember this scene
