Installing Adjustable Front & Rear CAMBER Kits | Honda Civic Project

- The Budget Honda Civic Build FINALLY gets Adjustable Front and Rear Camber Kits! These Affordable Camber kits replace the non-adjustable factory links and will improve adjustment, handling, and in my case Wheel Fitment! Now lets get this suspension DIALED IN!
After FAR too long, I finally get the budget friendly TruHart Front & Rear Camber kit installed on my Honda Civic. These 90's Honda's did not come factory with Adjustable Camber Settings. By Replacing the OEM kit with a quality aftermarket kit, we can get the function and fitment to my desired spec! SO in this video, I show you how to install the Camber Kit on my Honda Civic and have some fun hanging with Jason while we're at it!
With the rest of the suspension mods on the Civic, Camber and Toe alignment were MUCH needed. I was having excessive toe wear after installing my Coilovers and unfortunately ate a set of tires that should have had plenty of life left. After getting an alignment, my final camber numbers were -2.75 in the front and -2 in the rear with the toe ZEROED out. This resulted in MUCH better fitment with my wider wheels up front and a straighter track in the rear. With that said, I will need to roll my rear fenders and I will show you how to do that on my Civic in an upcoming video. This kit is easy to install with the right tools for the job. I would expect about a 2 hour install with removing the wheels and battery to access the camber arm bolts up front. Hope this helps!

Would be sweet
You should undo the bolts on the bushings on everything you installed. They need to be tightened down while in the position that they are going to sit, which is with the shocks depressed. You should either jack up the knuckle so it it sits as it would on the road or tighten the bushings once the car is on the ground. Might be a bit hard for the rear but works fine in the front. If you don't the new bushings might tear/make noise premature 😁😁
The fronts were not tightened down until the car was on the ground. The rears were gone over again once I got it aligned. Don’t worry!

I worked at a tire shop and we were flat rate, (paid by the job, not by the hour). When guys came in with all these aftermarket adjustments, we would just bump the sensors on the alignment machine to trick it and make the readout say that we adjusted the camber, when we just set the toe only. We would never touch the camber. We don't have time for that. All 11 of us technicians did it and we never got a complaint.
If the alignment guy takes 20 minutes to do your whole alignment, he is not adjusting anything but toe.
I’m sure a lot of shops run like that. Fortunately I was with the tech and we spent a good hour or so adjusting it to my liking. Hence why I was in the shop lol

Did you need alignment after?
I don't know if seen this before, but old Honda's tend to have saggy rear bumpers, mine had. I removed mine, bent a bit up the rear metal supports and for the plastic clips I changed them for locking nuts and screws... Fixed that gap!
Besides that awesome results with the cambers you got, have to post another mountain drive!
Yep! That’s on my list to do. The metal bracket on the driver side is hanging down more than it should
@@ALLDAYANTHONY same thing on my 98, a small ruber mallet will do the trick, gap was almost none after the work done and it took 15 minutes.

Idaho license plate IA. That's Ada County! I lived in Caldwell (Canyon County) for 14 years from 1992-2006 and before that lived in Mountain Home (Elmore County) for 2 years from 1990-1992.
After adding coil overs and camber kit and control arms and poly bushings I realized; I need better seats. I need more side bolstering so I can drive without leaning out of the seat on corners and bends. I was thinking a Sparco seat around 500. I still need adjustable back because it’s a daily driver; so no fixed race seats.
i bought rear camber and lower control arms for my ek1 from hard race suspension their amazing and handle my car better gonna upgrade the front because may as well

Im lifting my civic for rally and positive camber comes with lift, so i gotta poke the wheels out to get it parallell with the ground
I rolled my fenders with a 15x8 25mm offset with 205/50R/15 and about a finger gap and theres no rubbing at all. But I'm gonna install the same arms just because I need new ones lol Was waiting for this vid since your post on insta, as always man, great videos!

must be nice to have your bolts come right out. I live in Chicago. I literally broke 6 of those bolts off. had to drill them out and tap them. took me 2 weeks.
Try using black bars when you cut on a broll maybe it could make the broll more nicer and cinamatic. just a suggestion
These mods look like they can work for the dc2 integra
You dont need more camber for wheel clearance, you need correct offset on yoru wheel....... like +45-50 if u runnung 8-9j with 215+
Also you change the typical Honda handling by going front way more camber then rear..
I can’t find anyone to align mine with my adjustable camber kits. Did u just take it to a regular alignment shop? All the alignment shops I went to didn’t wanna mess with it they said they didn’t wanna make it worse

Did you torque down and lock tight the 4 bolts that hold the ball joint to that camber? My skunk2 camber kit through time keeps getting loose. Almost totaled my car lost 2 bolts holding that ball joint together. Will truhart have the same issues?

I have a 97 Honda CRV stock height I bought inner toe and Camera arms because alignment shop cannot get rear done it's wearing tires out if I install these hopefully this will help any advice would be helpful thanks

I can’t find those rims I look it up but I can only fiind the 5 lug one but I need 4
So I'm totally new to this camber kit issue. I just took 20in rims off my 06 acura TL and tried to get and alignment with my new 18in rims. Come to find out the previous owner only invested in lowering the car (no camber kits) and while my ride sits perfect I noticed on one of my 20in rims the inner trend was down to metal. I've heard bad things about Truhearts coilovers but nothing negative about their camber kits. I just want to get a quality product that won't need constant adjustments... if ANYONE could off some advice it would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking for new coilovers as well as new front and rear camber kits... any suggestions?
Truhart coil overs and camber kits are great. 4 years with them and not a single issues. Set it and forget it

Hi Anthony, I bought rear camber kits for my civic, at the alignment shop the camber on the right rear wheel was -3.22 degrees, the dude could only get the camber till about -3.10 and he told me that he cannot get the camber more positive because there is not enough thread on the kit to allow for more positive camber, so do i need a new kit? would i need a new kit? should i install the factory arm and see how the camber is?

7:35 no alignment shop I've ever went to did anything but toe adjustments to my civic and they half assed the rear toe.
Hello, may I ask if we tighten the camber during jack up, will the blush rubber always being in stress in later after we release jack and low down the car. Does it cause problem? thanks.

Guys i have a problem..
When a push the throttle my car it turns to the left. I changed the mount's and others part's i go to aliment shop and the numbers of Custer - cambers frond and back is properly also the tires is good and shame and the problem continue..

Check your tire pressure, tie rods, and that your wheels are balanced

Hey Anthony, I just got the adjustable toe and camber arms for my 98 LX. I assume the alignment shop had it on a drive-on rack with the wheels mounted when they did yours. Therefore, how did they go about making the camber adjustment without measuring and taking the wheels off between each adjustment?
My wheels were mounted for the process. There wasn’t much room but they were able to get to my camber adjustments

The combination of camber and toe will yes. Camber on its own won’t be the sole reason though

i taught you shouldnt completely tighten the rear camber kit if the suspension has no load on it right?
If you place a jack under the tire, you can tighten it.
So when’s the civic going catless or high flow cat? It’s pretty quiet even in high rpms
High flow would be better, catless or without baffling they sound like shit with D-series. Trust me, I own one.
