Initial Amazon reviews on this thing were really a mixed bag and even now the average score is like 2.8/5.0. Really happy to see some of my favorite review channels starting to review these. Seemed to take a while for Viewsonic to get these out to reviewers.
A. Is this short throw comparable to the GT1080 and other “normal” short throw projectors. B. Does it have a powered lens shift? C. What is the input lag on this? Super super important. This is really important . Thanks.
probably don't need to know now, but no it's not as short as the Optoma GT1080 Darbee, which is around 0.5 and this is 0.8 and judging by the gameplay video in this review, the response time is not good at all.... I wish I could find a projector that's fast, cheap, and good. (short throw) hahahhaa but when looking for a 4K projector that's not ultra short throw laser, this is the shortest throw I've found. I want to use a medium size room to project 150", and that's not possible with the Optoma UHD30. need about 17 feet to project 150" to me that's a large room.
Thanks for this review. Unfortunately, after a few months of buying this I already seen pixels going and my remote starting working intermittently. Viewsonic customer service is also appalling so I would say to everyone to save their money as this was not a cheap buy.
Can you set it up at the side of your room or does it have to stay in the middle? (keystone korrection not only trapez). My XGIMI h2 can do all but im looking for an upgrade
Wow. What a FANTASTIC review. You really packed in SO MUCH details into this review that OTHER reviews for this projector didn't do. I have only one question though. You mentioned that we can connect a wireless bluetooth keyboard to this projector. Does that mean the projector supports bluetooth? As far as I can tell, the advertising for this says that you can connect your devices to this projector's speaker, but it doesn't say if you can connect bluetooth devices to this speaker. Thanks so much again for the EXCELLENT review! If I could give you more than one thumbs up, I would. :)
Hello! Thanks for the comment. The keyboard would connect through a usb dongle like one of this Logitech ones, not thru Bluetooth from my understanding.
@@EricCarter12 yep just make, sure you follow the link for the roku stick promo. It's in the description. I'm not sure if they will ship it separately or with it but either way it's free. Enjoy man!
Hello, Thank you for sharing an informative video on X10 4KE. How Can I use my Home Theatre Sound via X10 4KE? Is there a system option in the menu for audio out? Any lag when you connect the audio without using HDMI ARC connectors
Hey guys, with the Roku Stick or smartcast, does that allow you to then stream Netflix in 1080p, getting around the limitation for the netflix app on the device?
You can get a really good projector for much less money. After reading all of the negative Amazon reviews, you're be better off buying a much cheaper one anyway.
I just bought this projector picture & sound are amazing, but when trying Xbox one x I found the input lag really bad. Do I have to tweak any settings for lower lag ?
projector is pretty good but has issues when working with apps like hbo max amazon prime xfinity sometimes etc when running it in 4k the screen flickers when having it setup so not sure why this is still waiting for support but this is a huge issue that makes me not even really want the projector anymore thninking of buying a samsung or something like that
I’ve had one for 2 years now. Its good, but the onboard software is crap. Very limited streaming apps. It wont stream directly from my device to the projector, using any of the major streaming apps on my ipad, like Netflix or Amazon. Probably a licensing conflict, rather than a technical problem. You have to use a cable from the iPad to the projector, which is a pain. Solution? I’m buying a ROKU streaming stick. Plug it into the HDMI port on the back of the projector, and stream to that instead. The software just looks miles better, and it has all the streaming apps that everyone uses.
Hi, What is the best projector between Epson 4010 vs viewsonic x10-4k? The Viewsonic looks like it is better, but I can't figure out why? The Epson does not have bluetooth, wifi, speakers, usb-c, is much bigger and heavier. Whit these different and about the same price, how come the epson have all these and looks even better? Thanks Hugo

To be honest, the picture really doesn't look good in this video at all. The colours and brightness are awful. It doesn't help that you're displaying it in what looks like a very dark room and everything onscreen looks way darker than it should. Did you just not tweak it or does it look much better in person? Edit: I just checked Amazon reviews and they're not great. This thing gets a 2.5 there. I've got a $500 projector that doesn't have any of the problems people are describing. You might want to do some more testing before signing off on this one and calling it a good product.
The picture quality is AMAZING. It looks so much better in person. The colors and brightness are excellent, you’re the only one who has given this feedback so far. I actually really like this projector a lot. I’d suggest you try it and if you don’t like it then return. Best part of amazon lol
@@TechSavvyBuyer I can't argue with Amazon's easy return policy, it just doesn't seem worth it for this wolf in sheep's clothing. Some Amazon reviews even mention problems displaying 4K video, and if that doesn't work I've already got a BenQ projector that already does beautiful 1080p video anyway. For the price they're asking, they needed to get everything right, and what I'm reading in reviews is a few half truths and a lot of broken promises. The only thing I really like is the speaker. It does seem a lot better than any other projector speaker I've ever heard.
Good review, you cover a lot of important points which other reviews did not. Answered pretty much all of my questions, nice work.
