Yup...I shot 725 last night with the Dark Web Hybrid... first ball in years that I can throw for all 3 games of league, lol.
I throw the envy tour or pink black widow 95% of the time. I will be adding a nu blue to my bag for sure.

heck yeah, just dropped a 725 too, I start Blue NU, for about a game and a half, then switch up to Purple Hammer to finish the night usually. 222 right now@@notonyourlife7939
feels like you can start nice and smooth with blue for the first 8 or so frames, then you start adding speed, right when you have to move left, instead you stay, pull the purple hammer, and its generally the same release and everything, but you can slow down and really relax.
"Not Urethane" is the best 🖕to "The Man" I've seen in years🤣🤣👍... also marketing genius. They will sell a ton of these whether it's any good or not, lol...

@@FrostecyExactly. I can't take the PBA that much seriously anymore if they had to change rules because of people complaining about Urethane instead of them trying to figure out how to use it or combat against it. How to play against it is easy, but the whining won out.

Agreed this ball is going to be in use heavily for a lot of bowlers.
They can't call it "urethane like" because that is an official definition under PBA rules and has to meet the same hardness as urethane. This ball is not that. MCP balls like that yellow tank fall under that category.
On another note, it is urethane, as all reactive balls are. It appears they added just barely enough reactive additive to be able to meet the minimum oil absorption rate while still maintaining that purple urethane shape.

It looks to me like Hammer took a chunk of microcell polymer and ran it through a nuclear magnetic resonance lab, and got the formula from that; then modified it enough to be Hammer's own proprietary compound. Nothing wrong with that. From what I've seen on the dealer websites, this appears to be a 2-piece ball. The only other 2-piece ball in production right now is the Rhino Pro Teal. 2-piece balls hit harder and carry better, and they are more durable, IMO.

I bowled league for a couple of years back in 2004-2005 and got my average up to a respectable 196. But I haven’t bowled more than 4 or 5 times since then recreationally using house ball and shoes.
My company had an event a couple of weeks ago and I bowled a couple of games with coworkers and got the bug again. I’m closing in on 60 years old.
So I bought a Blue Hammer this past Friday and ordered some shoes. Today, a couple of days later I took my two kids with me to try it out. I bowled a 169 my first game and a 257 my second game. Spared the 1st, 8th and back half of the 10th. It was such an easy ball to hit the pocket and carried pins even on an off shot. I’m not a technical bower but this ball was very dependable on whatever conditions we had. This could be the beginning of a beautiful relationship.

Good afternoon good evening young fella. I just got my new blue new bowling ball. I had it drilled up. It's great! I can play it on the edge 3board 5 board and move in some and it's great. It's smooth. It's got power continuation through the pins like you said. Good video. I just got my ball got six games on it. Just got to work on my release. I can stay straight with it up to 10. Up to 15 20 out to 10. Great! Can't wait to start the fall season with it so I'm practicing with it in the summertime. Thanks again!.

I’ve been out of Bowling since the 90’s due to a major back injury,I ended up shooting 300 with a league average of 222,then the injury came from slipping on ice and landing not so good on my spine,I loved the hammer,when it was short oil pattern I would use the red pearl hammer and would shoot the lights out,shooting jackpots after league play was the norm,especially on Friday nights,we’d be there until 3-4 in the morning,my question is this,John P Fabanich invented the hammer,Right? Who owns the company now and who manufactures the ball?

Charles. I like how fast you came out with this NU Blue Hammer video off the heels of Packy's video. Looks like Blue is the "Nu" Purple for at least some of the folks this coming 2024 PBA tournament season. Are there any other brands coming out with their version of "not urethane" balls?

Facts!
Throwing new balls is always fun. I waited almost 20 years before upgrading my entire bag from top to bottom. I had forgotten how fun it was to get a new ball and figure it out. I have gotten 4 new balls since April 2023 and it has been the most fun throwing them in league and tournaments and watching these videos. Thanks Charles for making bowling fun again. I have room for 2 more balls, waiting til 2024.

Some of it is the ball, but a lot of it is Charles and his ability to adjust his speed, angle, and revs to get the ball to shape into the pocket to carry through the pins. This man has skillz.
So I’m against Urethane. As are my teammates in my league. Would this be a good ball to bust out against teams with the new purple urethane? Bear with me. I don’t know much about bowling balls and what they do lol

I'm a high rev bowler that bowls on house shots. I need a ball to fit for med to dry lanes. Could this work on those conditions?
I definitely believe this will be in play when there definite friction to throw it to. But you may end up shinning it to help it get to down the lane when the fronts go.

I am going to make an educated guess on the cover…. It’s the same cover as the purple reactive in pearl… and they jacked up the hardness. The harder the cover.. the less it hooks.
Nope, it's 73 just like urethane and reactive.

@@MrICURNVS I believe it was the Radical podcast they specifically say it's 73-74 and that it meets the 45 minute oil absorption rule but I could be wrong, have watched about a dozen videos on it so maybe one of the others

Not as early. The pink runs into situations where it can burn up a lot. This doesn’t have that problem.

Kr Strikeforce Pink Hypes. If you can find online they where limited so not a lot of pairs where made but check everywhere online and see if they have your size. Bowling.com and all the others

Yes. Just the pba in 2024 you won’t.
What is this ball is actually urethane, but they put the label saying it isn't to throw off the PBA and USBC.
The usbc and PBA have already tested the ball to the get the equipment in advance to make sure it meets requirements.

The ball is such a bright shade of blue that it can pass as a house ball for a kid party.
If this works everyone will make there version and if it's that good on tour urethane may go away because it would be needed...
While this does absorb oil, it absorbs it so slowly that I suspect it will have the same effect on lanes as old urethane does, maybe just taking a bit longer to happen. But we don't know yet, we will have to wait and see.
