    You are 100% correct when it comes to the military and pricing.

    The military version is designed for rugged dependable daily use in combat. Your version seems to very applicable to the average prepper/security guard.

      The "civilian" set up may be less robust, but not 10% of the durability. The fact is that the cost isn't proportional, the military industrial complex charges what they want because congress WILL pay what they demand.

    Waiting for a mic test to see if I should pull the trigger. The mic is one of the last things I need to buy for Comms soooooo….mic test when?

    I’d really like to see a version of this mic that’ll go on a standard peltor boom mic adaptor.

    Is it possible to get these in Europe? The rangeguards.

    I know these are "budget" compared to Comtac, Otte etc. But man make a weather proof connector for the VX-6/7R. It would hold me over well until I get Commtac's and/or a disco32 setup.

    Can you try the pelt or range guards with the ops core arms?

    Is the velcro stable on your mic? I'm probably gonna buy one because id rather not buy one from one of the many chinese companies that constantly change names on amazon

    Big Q: On my Peltor Rangeguard, if I am outside mowing the lawn with music playing via aux input: 1) have to turn on Razor headphones 🎧 to hear the music, 2) turning up the volume on Razor headphones increases the "noise reduction" - by reducing the mower noise AND the aux audio input! Cannot hear the audio in!!
    How does one noise cancel external audio while keeping aux audio input volume steady? Or separate volume knob??

      How does the Razors compare to the Comtac in this lawn mowing scenario? (Or heavy gun fight/drill scenario)

    $75 for the mic is absolutely insane!!!

      Have you seen comtac pricing?

    • @DontTreadOnMyLiberty

      @itsnick.matichuk sure, but there are sophisticated electronics in comtacs...that mic isn't much more than the $10 wired headset at Walmart, other than a solid piece of plastic that makes the boom.

    • @DontTreadOnMyLiberty
      @DontTreadOnMyLiberty 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @itsnick.matichuk you also said that the whole setup was around $100...the muffs are like $40 and the freaking wire is almost twice that. I'm just not seeing how that makes sense. I feel like that mic should be Iike $30 MAX, but even if it were $50, it would still put you at that "under $100" price tag that you claimed. $40+$75 is a good bit over $100, and there are definitely some pretty decent options for around $100 or even a little less.

      @@Nickdefdis Ok cool. it has the jack, but its under a rubber cover on the side. I am looking at your products. I have the uv5r, and the 500's. I just have to work out which antennae cables to run on the back of my plate carrier to connect to the uv-5r. I have purchased the sma-f to bnc adapters.
