You have a really thick Southern accent, but it's cute. LOL! My Vietnamese vocab is very limited so I don't speak it, but I do understand pretty well. Although I recall one time some guy said I had a really nice tone/accent when I do speak it (Bac or Northern accent). Which is in contrast to the fact that the foods and such I eat is influenced by the South. Probably because my parents are from the North but we lived in Laos, where I was born. My clan in Laos spoke with the Northern accent, I guess. Hahaha!

I also believe mint really finishes the bun thit nuong types of dishes, just as basil is needed for the pho. But one thing you didn't add was chopped fresh roasted peanuts to your bun thit nuong! That adds amazing flavor and crunch! I always overload mine with it. :)

Hey Dzung - Thanks for creating such awesome content so consistently. Your videos are so professional and I know how much hard work goes into that!
I wanted to share about some low carb noodles, since you used zoodles in a previous video. Are you familiar with konjac noodles? They are actually net zero carbs and are made from a root plant. I really enjoy cooking with them for my more Asian inspired noodle dishes because they have such a similar texture and flavor to other types of noodles. I love zoodles too, but more for Italian inspired dishes.
Anyway, I thought I'd share. They're pretty easy to find on Amazon, and some Costcos carry them too.

Dear Dzung, great video as always! I really love that you explained clearly how to prepare the rice paper: a quick dip into water. As a native Vietnamese, I always cringe when I watch TH-cam homecooks soak rice paper into water and leave it in there for seconds. That is how rice paper turn into mush and make it harder to roll. Anyway, thank you very much for introducing Vietnamese cuisine to the world. Please make more videos about Vietnamese dish.
Btw, I think the dipping sauce in the spring roll dish is called: Nước chấm đậu phộng or just simply Nước chấm gỏi cuốn
    ~ from Vietnam with love.

I'm a college student whose school is surrounded by tasty restaurants (a lot of them Asian; make weakness lol) and so easily tempted to eat out. Of course, all the spending adds up, so I want to try my best this semester to make more unique lunches to save money. Thanks so much and see you tomorrow. ^_^ Also, I love the idea of a green onion relish, because I don't like pickles and never thought of using green onions instead. Brilliant!

great recipes, you should cut up the pork chop though before putting it into the box. I can't imagine how I would fare eating a hole chop with chopsticks... pun intended ;-)

The last few seconds where she was trying to speak in her mother tongue reminds me my childhood when teacher asked any questions and I was giving that expression! What's that, what's that.. ummmm. Lol. This is so nice

Hi Dzung! I'm loving your channel as I'm very much into eating healthily and I was wondering if you could do somethings for students. I work as well as study and its sometimes really hard to pack a healthy balanced lunch that will last the full day as well as be enjoyable and filling. Thanks so much for your great content! Hope the baby is very healthy and happy!

I do not love jackfruit much as my mother and my little girl but a vegan friend would curry the premature fruit and it was delicious. The fruit is very small when it was cooked but it took the curry very well and the texture was amazing 😉

Do you have any tips for keeping the rice noodles (bun) from getting dry and stuck together? I love getting bun thit nuong (sp?) to go but the noodles never hold up well so that's why I've never tried to make it at home. :)

Nayda Sadr I usually put a damp cloth over top! Keeps it moist and from drying out

Thank you! I will give it a shot. Do you know if this also works for the rice paper for spring rolls?

Nayda Sadr hi! It’s fine that the noodles stick together because when we pour the fish sauce soup into it, you can easily use chopstick to separate the noodle!! 🍜

Nayda Sadr for the spring roll, don’t put too much water on it or it’ll be become too sticky.

Had a whole bunch of left over poob noodles in the fridge. This was perfect. I subsituted lemon for the rice vinegar in the fish sauce recipe because we didn't have any rice vinegar in the house. It was 👌👌. So glad I ran into this video. Love the bento boxes.
