As a very tiny vegan who doesn’t eat much i have to disagree BUT the videos are so perfect and easy i can make smaller portions for myself or just leave out snacks easily. (:
I watch a LOT of food prep videos, mostly vegan ones, and I have NEVER seen anyone do these things. Thanks for all the likes! I think it means we all appreciate this unique feature in your video!
The reason I really love your videos is because you always use up everything that you start to use at the beginning of the week! This is so important to help reduce food waste, which me and my family are guilty of. It also helps me feel like I don’t need meat to feel satisfied, because all your meals are really substantial.
This makes me so happy to hear! It really is so important to reduce food waste, so I love to show different ideas on how you can use leftovers in different ways so that you don't end up eating the same thing for lunch every day for a week ;-) Thanks for the lovely comment and for watching! X
Would you consider doing a video where we shop with you for groceries? I really want to have an idea of what you look for/how much is a good amount for you to purchase for a week’s worth of food/etc.
At first I was like "huh, that's a lot of effort for one lunch" but then noticed you used pretty much the same ingredients of each meal! So clever ☺️ I work from home but still love and use "work lunch" ideas, as I don't want to take too much time to cook during a work day. Thank you!!
Ah thanks so much for the lovely comment and for watching! The first lunch does involve a bit more prep but it pretty much sets you up for the rest of the week and everything gets used up in different ways :-) X
Thanks so much for watching! I hope it can show that being vegan is so easy and the food is delicious - and could maybe encourage you to try more vegan foods? :-) X
@Lorn Warbler Cheese used to be my favourite food but I could never imagine eating it again. The machines used to milk cows aren't designed to just extract the milk, they extract all bodily fluids including puss (there are around 750 million puss cells per litre of milk), bovine, urine, blood and feces. It also contains Casein, a protein found in milk, which encourages the calves to drink and is what makes humans addicted to cheese, ice-cream etc. Not to mention that calves are torn from their mothers at birth, shot in the head if they're male and used for veal meat or become dairy cows later destined for slaughter if female, so that humans can take the milk for dairy products. Oat, almond, coconut, rice etc. milks are so much more delicious than drinking someone else's bodily fluid. And vegan cheese is delicious, just find one you love as they're all different! It was so easy for me to give up - I suggest watching a few documentaries if you're considering giving up animal products: 'The Best Speech Ever' on TH-cam is a great one, as well as 'Forks Over Knives', 'What The Heath' and 'Cowspiracy' all on Netflix :-)
Jess Beautician ok after reading this and watching your Video I think I will try to start eating vegan :-) I just hope my parents allow it because my mom thinks I will become underweight or something lol but I really like your videos keep going!
I've never been vegan, but recently I've been interested in eating more vegan or at least vegetarian for sustainability purposes. This gave me some great ideas :)
That's amazing, good for you! Glad the video could give you some ideas. If you're interested in eating more vegan foods for environmental purposes, I suggest watching 'The Best Speech Ever' on TH-cam, 'What The Health', 'Forks Over Knives' and 'Cowspiracy' on Netflix :-) X
I suggest starting with vegetarian then move onto vegan. If you are a meat lover. I absolutely hate the taste of meat so I’ve almost always been vegetarian. Now I might switch to vegan after watching a few things and research. It’s hard to do so though. Since my family are big meat eaters! Haha. They like eggs, milk, meat. It will be hard but I will try.
@@lilesal5214 Thanks for sharing!! I'm not sure I'm necessarily a meat 'lover', but i do consume a lot of fish and dairy products which is where my challenges would be I think. Plus, my boyfriend is dang near addicted to meat and picky as all get out, so finding things we'd both eat would be challenging as well.
I LOVE sushi! Sandwiches and pastas can be made in so many different combinations and are so quick and cheap to do which is why I always include those, but there are so many ways to make vegan sushi too - I'll include it more often ;-) Thanks for watching! X
I think one of the reasons sushis don't often find their way into lunchboxes is that refrigeration affects the texture of the rice, but heating them up isn't really an option. If you have a fairly warm fridge like those found in restaurants you could pull it off, but conventional household fridges do a disappointing job of keeping sushi. If you're packing them up on the same day you're eating them though they are indeed quite delightful :)
These are the best lunches ever!! Nutritious, filling, creative and I love that you used leftovers to incorporate into a new recipe for the next day. Amazing! Chefs kiss! 😁
what I enjoy about your videos is the reusing of items, that certain ingredients make comebacks throughout the week, not a lot of "meal prep" channels I've seen have such versatile meals that you do while using similar ingredients- if anything its a huge shopping list for each individual day but you... kudos, I loved how you utilized leftovers
Ah too kind, thanks so much for the lovely comment and for watching! It might seem like a big shopping list, but it's really not and you end up using all of the same ingredients for the whole week to create different lunches! You can see the shopping lists from my previous videos like this and the shopping list for a weeks worth of lunches is less than 15 ingredients, plus kitchen cupboard essentials like oil, salt, pepper etc. :-) X
I've always packed my lunch but it was always simple and plain, watching your videos spark so many ideas in my mind and makes me look forward to making + having my lunch. The variety and different flavors are just amazing, thank you so much for making these :)
Now that I’ve finally started dieting (mostly vegan), your videos have been the most helpful guides I could find (after tons of researching). Also, your videos are extremely entertaining, educational and resourceful. Many thanks! :)
A lot of these ingredients are kind of hard to find here in Mexico or they are too expensive for my college student budget but the ideas for the lunches are amazing and open enough that I can find my own alternatives for the ingredients, I think I’m getting bento boxes for Christmas lol
I’m vegan, and I’m amazed at how you’ve done your lunches. I’m so glad to see a variety instead of just peppers and mushrooms. (I’m allergic to peppers) so to see you using alternatives is amazing. Thankyou so much! X
I'm such a food lover whether it's vegan, vegetarian, or straight up meat dishes. Vegan meals are definitely something that should be encouraged to be eaten among omnivors. Quick and simple meals like this that don't require you to reheat are my favorite for school lunches!
I enjoy for how you talk through everything. A lot of channels will tell us how much of something but won’t say how long to cook. Or how high the heat it. Some channels don’t even say how much off something. They will just say. Flour. Thank you for these yummy foods! 🥰
Those bento boxes are beautiful, but they tend to leak and get that dip all over your bag and sometimes they get crooked after microwaving or washing is a washing machine. Also white parts tend get stained after contact with colorful veggies (such as carrots).
You’re so creative with your recipes and I LOVE that you’re not wasteful with your food! It’s hard for me to make sure I use all my food for the week but you do an AMAZING job doing that!
Ah this has made my day - thank you so much for the lovely comment and for watching! I have loads of new lunch ideas on how to use up food for the week so I'll be sharing more soon :-) X
I've never cooked with tofu or jackfruit and I've never made sushi before, but you made everything look so easy and delicious! I've now tested all the recipes in this video and loved them all! Very excited to try more of your recipes!
I love that you can go shopping on the weekend for ingredients and use all of it to make lunches for the whole work week. I always end up buying so many new ingredients when practising new recipes and some of it always ends up being wasted. I’m going to give these ones a try!
I am not vegan but I struggle with finding new foods to eat on the daily basis bc I always fall onto the same recipes. I find your videos to be a great source of inspiration and many ingredients are easily switchable for not vegan options, which is great for me. You also encourage me to eat more plant-based meals! Love your style of videos :)
I’m always looking for vegan cold lunch ideas and I never find anything good. Until now! All your lunch videos are awesome! They’re stuff I’ll actually make and that my husband would actually eat.
The universe has really been giving me strong signs lately. I was vegetarian for 6 years and started eating meat this year again and have been wanting to stop. This definitely inspired me! Thank you love!
Amazing, good for you! I was vegetarian from the age of about 11 and went vegetarian, but went back to eating meat for around a year before going vegetarian again, then eventually vegan 5 years ago and have never looked back - you can do it! Thanks so much for watching :-) X
Wonderful recipes as always, can’t wait to try them! Btw Today I made your red lentil pizza crust and that was literally one of the best pizzas I’ve ever eaten, no joke, thank you so much for that recipe!
hey! loved these recipes :) if you keep that remaining tofu from monday in water it'll keep really well. you dont have to submerge it but it does help!
Aaah thanks for the tip! I did think about doing it but because I'd already pressed it I thought I'd then have to press it again, but if it keeps it better it's probably worth doing! Thank you for watching :-) X

jack fruit is a normal fruit in my Bangladeshi culture, you can get it fresh from the trees. you can cook it as well as eat it when its ripes, very tasty.
Jess I love these videos so much! I'm a middle schooler who makes these for school and I'd really appreciate it if you could maybe make a compilation that doesn't need cooking or minimal cooking just because it's scary for me, and I don't have much experience. Just an idea but I love these videos! Keep up the great work
This was the most satisfying to go lunch video. I feel like take along lunches are typically quite unattractive by the time you actually eat them. This one looks soooo good
I love these types of videos, I’m not really able to go vegan or vegetarian because my family won’t let me do my own thing but I love these! They look so good!!!🤤
I can understand how hard that must be, but it's really up to you what you want to eat. Maybe you could sit them down for a chat and show them some vegan recipes on TH-cam so they can see how versatile, healthy and delicious vegan food can be? Or maybe you could offer to cook for them once a week and do a vegan meal? Thanks for watching! :-) X
Glad you loved it! If you have smoked paprika, that would work great as a replacement for liquid smoke if you make it another time :-) Thanks for watching! X
These might sound like ridiculous questions but here it goes: 1. How much tofu do you eat in a week? 2. Do you find it more expensive to buy vegan/vegetarian food products than “the usual” or is it about the same? 3. When you switched to being vegan, did your body react negatively at some point or did you adjust pretty easily/quickly? 4. How often do you go buy groceries in a week? And is it in huge bundles or just (almost always) a couple of things?
just a daily reminder to eat enough food! your body carries you through life, be grateful and treat it well. I love the very nutrient rich foods in this video! the absolute definition of ENERGY. Your body is a temple, without proper structure and maintenance it may collapse (that didn't make much sense but you get what I mean)
I found your channel only a few days ago after popping up in my recommendations. I'm far from vegan but I'm absolutely in love with these lunch videos. I've watched several. I'm going to subscribe so I can watch some of your other videos.
I absolutely love the Eat Real hummus & lentil chips & they’re £1 cheaper in Aldi or Lidl than Asda. I’m not paying £1:89 for something when i can get them for 89p.
Thank you for these great ideas. My son has an egg allergy and dairy issues so we try and do vegan recipes. The issue i have is daycare doesn't allow nuts or seeds so its challenging. He wont eat the wow butter either. Any other suggestions?
My favourite type of videos from you Jess 🙌 I have been losing my cooking/vegan mojo lately so this came at just the right time to inspire and motivate me again ❤️ Never thought to try a houmous and pesto combo and that tofu bacon sounds divine 🤤 thank you x
Hey Jess great idea's as always your creations always look absolutely delicious great vegan options to show that anything can be plant based food ♥️♥️🥰🥰
Ah thank you - I'm so glad you think so, that's all I want to do with these videos as I think the best way to encourage others to go vegan is by showing how delicious vegan food can be :-) X
Please do a what’s in my fridge video because I saw a sneak peek and it looks really cool! (This sounds so weird but I’d love to know the things that you always have on hand) 🥰❤️😁
i'm vegetation but eat a lot of vegan meals as i can't have dairy a lot your videos help so much i've made some meals on your channel they were so tasty
How long do these lunches stay good for? Could I make all these dishes on like Sunday, and use those lunch boxes to keep them good all week for every school day?
What does the jackfruit taste like? Also what is the texture like? It kind of looks like shredded chicken to me. All of these lunches look delicious!! I’m definitely going to be remaking some.
It's a great alternative to shredded chicken because the texture is very much the same - it has a very neutral taste which is why it works great with the hoisin and bbq sauce, and any other flavourings :-) Hope you enjoy them if you try them - thanks for watching! X
Omg i really want to try all of these... I’m a picky vegan so some of the stuff you make i am not as crazy about like cous cous or quinoa but i looove tofu and i love smoked flavor . I haven’t had jackfruit in awhile but i want to find it again, its sort of hard to find where i live tho. I also love pasta and vegan mayo... cant wait to make this stuff (: thanks for so many awesome vegan bento box videos, i really love them.
One question tho. I went to the bento website. (So lovely! Thanks for the link!) And there are like parts? Does it all come together or do I order everything separately?
Your creativity is astounding. You never cease to amaze me with such yummy looking dishes. Hope to see you in a video soon and Cookie is very anxious. Lol xoCathy
These all look lovely! It's good to mention the fact that avocado contains 300+ calories per fruit. This is because it is high in fat, and a gram of fat gives 9 calories. The first lunch ends up being 700+ calories. Typically bodies gain the "fullness feeling" from volume, and not calories so anyone could easily eat this. From experience I know the chips are super light. This may work for some people, but others not! Just a thing to keep in mind while meal prepping for the day.
@@alliecravulz I'm a nutrition student, I know it's not good to calorie count to a T. However, it is good to be aware of how energy dense they are as people assume fruit is very low. Which is my point. But thanks.
@@alliecravulz Haha! Avacado oil actually isn't very popular amongst people in my area, I'm sure many others. A lot of my friends don't know what macros even are. It surprises me, for sure. People should get to know a little more about health related things.
What measurement do you mean when you say ‘one portion’ of pasta?? I always cook too much and want to know how much to use to fit these bento boxes as I’ll be ordering one soon ☺️ .x.
Your video has just made me buy the Christmas special Monbento.😁I've never wanted to buy lunch boxes this much and this quick. Your discount helped a lot.

This one looks soooo good
I love how you show how you use one thin for multiple lunches but in different ways. 👏🏻
Thanks for watching! :-) x
Vegan bacon was delicious!! I subbed the coconut honey with brown sugar and didn’t have liquid smoke but it still turned out fantastic.
Glad you loved it! If you have smoked paprika, that would work great as a replacement for liquid smoke if you make it another time :-) Thanks for watching! X
The boxes look adorable and I definitely have my eye on them but the cutlery looks hard to use lol
They're such amazing lunchboxes! Haha! Ah they take a bit of getting used to, but they're great for on the go :-) X
These might sound like ridiculous questions but here it goes:
And is it in huge bundles or just (almost always) a couple of things?
omg can you come and be my personal lunch maker?! your ideas are incredible
Haha! Ah thanks so much for the lovely comment and for watching :-) X
Waiting for winter break so I can be home full time to cook for myself and make all these wonderful looking meals that are keeping me up at 1:00am
Hahah! Ah thanks so much for watching and hope you enjoy the recipes if you get around to trying them :-) X
just a daily reminder to eat enough food! your body carries you through life, be grateful and treat it well. I love the very nutrient rich foods in this video! the absolute definition of ENERGY. Your body is a temple, without proper structure and maintenance it may collapse (that didn't make much sense but you get what I mean)
Thanks so much for the lovely comment and for watching! ☺️
I love how she says "shee-shee" instead of sushi it's so cute I could just listen to her talking for hours
it would be sooo cool if you could do a weekly shop video to show what we would need and where you shop 💗
I found your channel only a few days ago after popping up in my recommendations. I'm far from vegan but I'm absolutely in love with these lunch videos. I've watched several. I'm going to subscribe so I can watch some of your other videos.
Next term I have decided to be packed lunch so I'll definitely try these
HOW HAVE I ONLY JUST FOUND THIS CHANNEL all these recipes look amazing!! Need to go and buy a bento box i'm gonna look so put together at uni lol
Helen Foot LOL
Huge container, small block of tofu left👍🏼
Love these recipes, they look so good🤤
Thanks so much for watching :-)
I absolutely love the Eat Real hummus & lentil chips & they’re £1 cheaper in Aldi or Lidl than Asda. I’m not paying £1:89 for something when i can get them for 89p.
have you tried to Aldi own brand one? It's got less fat in it and it's just as lovely!
London's Rock we can’t always get the Passions Deli ones in the uk.
They're my favourite! I've picked them up in Aldi/Lidl too - Aldi has some amazing vegan options at the moment :-) X
I've literally been binge-watching all of your videos and I can't stop. Keep it up I love your videos sooo much :)✨
Thank you for these great ideas. My son has an egg allergy and dairy issues so we try and do vegan recipes. The issue i have is daycare doesn't allow nuts or seeds so its challenging. He wont eat the wow butter either. Any other suggestions?
i was wondering, what can i replace with the jackfruit? thank you x
ruuu probably shredded cooked chicken if you don’t want it to be vegan
Jess, I have a question, where do you buy all of your vegan ingredients??
Like which store
Usually Holland & Barrett or any local health food stores :-) X
My favourite type of videos from you Jess 🙌 I have been losing my cooking/vegan mojo lately so this came at just the right time to inspire and motivate me again ❤️ Never thought to try a houmous and pesto combo and that tofu bacon sounds divine 🤤 thank you x
Ah I'm so happy to hear this! Thanks so much for the lovely comment and for watching - glad it could give you a bit of cooking motivation ;-) X
Your voice is so lovely . I love your videos , I'm not vegan but you've still given me many great ideas . ☺️

Ohh thank you so much for watching! I have so many ideas for these videos, I need to make them more regularly ;-) X
This video is amazing! it shows how easy being vegan is and inspired me to use the recipes!
Ah thank you - I'm so glad you think so, that's all I want to do with these videos as I think the best way to encourage others to go vegan is by showing how delicious vegan food can be :-) X
I love your lunch ideas and sushi question when I make sushi can i use avocado and crab meat
This all looked amazing, realistic and doable
Please do a what’s in my fridge video because I saw a sneak peek and it looks really cool! (This sounds so weird but I’d love to know the things that you always have on hand) 🥰❤️😁
Can you please make a video of different ways to cook tofu?
I just came across your channel and love these lunches ideas. I was wondering, can I prepare them a day ahead? Would it not get soggy?
Thanks so much for these lunch ideas! I'm not vegan but I'm considering going vegetarian and this has been really inspiring! Xx

So happy you've enjoyed the recipes you've tried so far! Thanks so much for the lovely comment and for watching :-) X
I can’t wait to try out these recipes! They look great Jess!
Thank you so much for watching! :-) X
My school is starting back up in a few days and I’m gonna try to make some of these:)
How long do these lunches stay good for? Could I make all these dishes on like Sunday, and use those lunch boxes to keep them good all week for every school day?
Hoping for a new code soon! I have my eye on one of bento boxes!
New video and new code coming this month ;-) X
What does the jackfruit taste like? Also what is the texture like? It kind of looks like shredded chicken to me.
All of these lunches look delicious!! I’m definitely going to be remaking some.
It's a great alternative to shredded chicken because the texture is very much the same - it has a very neutral taste which is why it works great with the hoisin and bbq sauce, and any other flavourings :-) Hope you enjoy them if you try them - thanks for watching! X
Thank you for the reply. I’m definitely going to have to try some! ☺️
(So lovely! Thanks for the link!)
And there are like parts? Does it all come together or do I order everything separately?
The box comes with the little white rectangular pot, but you need to order the round sauce cups and cutlery separately :-) X
@Jess Beautician
Thank you!
I love these videos they're so calming and relaxing. I love finding new recipes and ideas for tasty healthy food 😊❤
Ah thanks so much for the lovely comment and for watching! :-) X
Wednesday wrap looks amazing!
Thanks for watching! :-) X
Why am I watching this I’m not even vegan. Lol
Your creativity is astounding. You never cease to amaze me with such yummy looking dishes. Hope to see you in a video soon and Cookie is very anxious. Lol xoCathy
Ah thanks so much for the lovely comment and for watching Cathy! Ahh Cookie! Send her kisses from me and the fur babies :-) X
Drop the calorie counting Friend it will lead you nowhere, trust me. Just eat plant-based and listen to your body!
@@alliecravulz I'm a nutrition student, I know it's not good to calorie count to a T. However, it is good to be aware of how energy dense they are as people assume fruit is very low. Which is my point. But thanks.
@@tanyasutherland5814 if people don't know that something you can make oil from is fat, they are beyond saving......
@@alliecravulz Haha! Avacado oil actually isn't very popular amongst people in my area, I'm sure many others. A lot of my friends don't know what macros even are. It surprises me, for sure. People should get to know a little more about health related things.
@@tanyasutherland5814 yes, I am sure if they would they'd eat less crap and the world would be a better place for everybody 🙃
Ah I hope you love it as much as I do Denise! Thanks so much for watching :-) X
