Hik Connect 5 Minute Timeout Issue

- Hi guys. This is not my usual type of content but I had to share it with you that are having the same annoying issue with the Hik-Connect App timing out. My usual content is daft funny stuff.
If you are getting the 5 minute time out on the Hikvision Hik-Connect App then this video might help you. It involves uninstalling the App and reinstalling it with careful attention to a couple of options. ONLY uninstall the App if you know your username and password as you will need this to log in again.
I searched the internet for a solution but couldn't find one so I looked in to it myself. through trial and error I managed to stop the 5 minute time out happening every 5 minutes. Now if it does time out, you just tap the icon and it could last for hour or days without seeing the 5 minute time out issue.
If your device goes back to stopping every 5 minutes (a number of times on the trot) then repeat the steps in this video.
COMMON QUESTIONS FOR THIS ISSUE:
1. Hikvision Live View stopped streaming after 5 minutes.
2. I Don't want to set up port forwarding on my NVR.
3. Cameras timing out after 5 minutes.
4. Why do my cameras time out after 5 minutes when using Hik-Connect?
5. Why does my Hikvision camera keep going offline?
6. Is there a time limit on Hik Connect?

I dont think this has anything to do with timeout . Its to do with Hikvision limitation of 5 mins to cloud hikconnect
Hi. Hikvision actually stated that there is a 5 minute timeout to lower the bandwidth. My video is to help people get around the issue of their screen stopping every 5 minutes on the Hik-Connect App. If it helps a few people then it was worth creating. Have a lovely day bud.

Good question. I have a 4k tv connected to the NVR in another room which is perfect to me. The 4 tablets are used for the hik connect and also 2 other NVR systems. I have cameras in multiple Countries and can swipe through them depending on what I want to view. You cannot do that with multiple systems on the Hikvision NVR connected tv. It all make sense to me and works a treat. Hope it now makes sense now. Many thanks for your question.

An older version of ivms hasn't 5min limitations. You should install version 3.6.

Hi. Please try it again. I had 2 of my tablets revert back to the 5 minute issue so I ran through the uninstall and reinstall again and they are good again. It's the only kindoff solution available. Worth trying again. Please read the description thoroughly too. 👍😀
