- The only thing better than camping in our teardrop trailer is camping alongside other teardrop enthusiasts. That’s exactly what we did at the “End of Summer, by tha lake” Tearjerkers gathering at the Oconee State Park in South Carolina. The gathering was hosted by the Southern Appalachia chapter of the tearjerkers, and we had a blast! If you’ve never attended one of these events, you are surely missing out. Some extremely creative people. Thank you so much for taking the time to do these videos I absolutely love teardrops I can’t wait to get one. Currently I am a tent camper (I have been camping for over 35 years) and quite often sleep inside of my truck but I’m ready to take the leap in a year or so for a teardrop.

Great video Mike. Unfortunately we had a home built Teardrop gathering scheduled for last month on the California coast unfortunately the wildfires were unforeseen and we had to cancel. I hope in the near future we can enjoy a campground with plenty of friendly people just like you. Take care and keep on camping

Went camping at Oconee State Park with a group from Florence SC in 1979. A lot of fun camping and rafting.

@@CampandCamera I still remember how an old former Eagle Scout cooked for the group by burying dinner wrapped in aluminum foil over coals in the ground . It was supposed to be perfect when we all got back from our rafting trip that evening. Something went wrong as the chicken was still raw when we dug it up. We could have used your wife's chilli that night!

Great video. I have a little Runaway Cool Camp and was supposed to camp with the Liberty Bell Chapter last weekend, but couldn't make it because of health issues. Hoping to make it their November trip.

Looks like a good time was had! I need to bring my teardrop to some of these meets. After eight summers, I think that I am going to pull my tear back into the shop this winter and redo my convertible top and make some other needed repairs after nearly eight years of doing nothing but camping in it.

we have an RV but this makes me what a small camper
I have a 23ft travel trailer, but mostly take the teardrop.
I wish they would talk more about their canopy tent model and if they like it and if it holds up in the wind and rain.

There are a lot of great parks to camp at here in South Carolina. Y’all should plan a trip to Edisto Beach or hunting Island State Park down in Beaufort.

Making g me sick. I sold our teardrop last year to buy a pleasure boat. We used boat twice. Now having to stay in cabins/motels when we want a weekend off. NO MORE. Going to start a new build soon. Not near asgreat as yours. But itll get job done and can build in less than month. HAPPY Camping

This has definitely got to be the coolest group on TH-cam!! If someone would be so kind as to get me the information I would love to become a part of this group as I currently have a build going on of my own that I hope to finish in the next 30 to 45 days! I'm excited to get my first trip out in it. So I'm very sure that it will be a short trip probably with the rescue vehicle....... LOL

On your outside side tables that side into the track is the track something you can buy or something? Does it have 2 parts to build it with the mounting plate does it screw into the wall or an adhesive?
I picked it up on Amazon. I believe you can also find them at Vintage Technologies. It comes with both parts.
I love your channel and watching the meet ups. Do you know where in the Southeast I can buy teardrop? I live in Miami, FL. No place local has them.

No filming per say for meet and greet,they don't seem very friendly or accommodating especially if you wanted join the group or just introduce yourself.
Actually, they were very friendly folks. I left feeling like I had new friends. I usually don’t like to stick a camera in someone’s face until I’ve at least made their acquaintance first...just a courtesy on my part. So, I laid the camera down for the initial meet and greet.
Camp and Camera I wasn’t trying to be mean,but I own a teardrop style trailer.And I understand,but a club or organization should welcome(in my opinion)The fact they are on camera.Unless you asked and they said no.Again it’s not a personal thing against the members,but I get it.
You’d be surprised how many folks lock up or can’t even make complete sentences when I pull a camera out! Lol! They become a nervous wreck. I’m quite comfortable in front of a camera, but it’s like kryptonite for others. I try to ease into it. Stop by for a gathering sometime. We’ll treat you so many different ways, you’re sure to like one of them. Kidding! Hope to see you at a gathering though.

If you let people dictate what they want you ti do just to make them "feel safe" ( when we all know it is not proven and people have died even from wearing 24/7), then I dont know if what you are saying is coming from you, or what are telling you to say.
If all it takes is a tiny piece of fabric to keep you from enjoying my video about tiny campers, then move on.
