    Good video! Very detailed I didn’t know it had the 24/7 recording option. If that’s correct I’m buy it like crazy!

      I was super happy to see they added that option. It makes the camera much more flexible

    How many extra solar panels do they include with the 4 camera kit with Homebase? 2 or 1?

    I like the look of this kit but at $1,599.95 AUD for the two camera kit and individual camera's cost $700 AUD each, probably plus shipping. It costs too much in Australia though the website did offer 10% off your first purchase if you sign up but it probably excludes their latest kit. That price is direct from their Australian website. EDIT What is especially annoying is that through your affiliate Amazon link in Australian dollars this kit costs $800 AUD But I can't order it through this Amazon link because the purchase is region blocked!! So if i want it, I would be forced to pay double.🤬🤬😡😡 Could you please ask Eufy on my behalf why the purchase is region blocked and why Australian's are forced to pay double the US price despite it being available on Amazon?

    I have a pro camera that I power with Poe and it’s only way to go if you can get wire to it to power it. I have solar and a pro and replacing all with pro because of the ability to poe

      @ThisSmartHouse  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@donhgr 100% if you can get Poe to a camera it's so much more reliable. But not everybody has this as an option that's why the solar powered cameras are so nice for those areas you just can't get power to.

    Really nice! Would be great for mounting on a tree or pole in your yard to aim back at the house.

      @ThisSmartHouse  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yep it would. I love having the solar panel integrated into the camera. Makes it much cleaner to install. I just wish these came with a mount that you could use with a strap to quickly connect it to a tree

    So is it the homebase 3 that’s has become HomeKit compatible or is it the S3 Pro cam that’s HomeKit compatibility

    • @ThisSmartHouse
      @ThisSmartHouse  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I THINK and update is coming for the HomeBase3. But I still think it requires a firmware update to the camera itself before you can use it with HomeKit. I have asked what the HomeKit roll out plan is.

    Hi,
    I have one tricky question.
    I have a POE cabling in my new home, if i buy this S3 pro camera and if i use a poe splitter (with a usb-c variant), then can i use this to power this camera for 24x7 recording?

    • @ThisSmartHouse
      @ThisSmartHouse  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @athiffaraz3117 that's a good question and I am pretty sure that would work. Because the poe splitter just converts the 48 volts over to the 5 volts needed for the USB-C. As far as the camera knows it's plugged into a standard cable

    Does it work with Blue Iris software?

    • @ThisSmartHouse
      @ThisSmartHouse  หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, only the S330 Pro cameras have external RTSP streaming. However, there is a chance that it get supported via the Eufy Security WS project (also a Home Assistant add-on). That will create an RTSP stream.

    • @ThisSmartHouse

    Constructive cricism - stop uploading your videos in 720p quality. What’s the point of reviewing a 4k camera if you’re decreasing the content pixels by NINE TIMES!? 🤦🏻‍♂️

    • @ThisSmartHouse
      @ThisSmartHouse  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Ugggh... what? My videos are in 4k. My exports from the cameras are in 4k. Maybe check your youtube settings. I have been producing 4k content since 2022.

      @@ThisSmartHouseCorrect me if Im wrong but when you upload the video to YT you only do it in max quality, and YT starts to do recompression to all supported resolutions. Probably 720 was finished first therefore this is what was served to your first viewers, since YT does not serve by default 4K to everybody to save bandwidth

    All the eufy S3 pro reviews I have seen are by reviewers who have been sponsored by Eufy. Any impartial reviews?

    • @ThisSmartHouse
      @ThisSmartHouse  หลายเดือนก่อน

      As I stayed, everyone one of my reviews are my opinions. A sponsorship for me means the brand gets to dictate the time line and ensure we talk about certain features. They never tell us what to say.

    Can you explain to me what the purpose of having 4K quality is when the video looks like absolute trash with that 15 frames per second

    • @ThisSmartHouse
      @ThisSmartHouse  29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Just 15 fps? These are security cameras not production cameras. I shoot in 4k @ 30fps for my videos. You don't really need a high frame rate to capture someone on your property. Not only would that take double the storage space, it also means you would need more light because you are halving the shutter speed.
      Most every security camera is 15fps or less.

      @CAPTALISM 29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@ThisSmartHouseLook I’m still going to buy this camera after watching your review but I think the videos on colour night mode look like they’ve been filmed with the original iPhone. Very blurred and choppy. Are you seeing something different?

    • @ThisSmartHouse
      @ThisSmartHouse  29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @CAPTALISM It's isn't going to be as clear as daytime or as crisp as b&w infrared. But it operates in almost zero light. In the demo you can see when I record with my phone you can see nothing.
      The color night vision is very impressive, but is never going to be as clear because it is having to slow the shutter speed and crank up the ISO to get a usable image.
