I love Gillows! I'm fortunate to have two pieces, and there are so many little details, so many things they didn't have to do but CHOSE to do, that just make me smile.
@WRHarveyAntiquesLtd certainly a step up from an outhouse! I'm curious how the armrests were hidden. Is it similar to the drawer slides or are there hidden casters? I have no interest in making a wooden toilet. However, you can easily make it into a night stand with a seat to sit and remove footwear.
Many thanks for your thoughtful message. The armrests merely slide into the sides of the cabinet when the toilet section is pushed back into the main piece.
