Filming this series of masterclasses has been great fun and sharing the knowledge is always rewarding. I have also found that having to talk about a particular piece or period of history is a terrific discipline andmakes me want to do even more research into these beautiful pieces. David Harvey

How do you spot a fake or reproduction?
There is no quick way, the best teacher is simply experience and working with these pieces year after year. I am still learning after 50 years! David
